When you order the CampusCube College Care Package, you can include an encouraging message to your beloved College student to get them pumped for the new school year. The theme for this box is a greeting to Fall and a way of encouragement to continue all of your hard work. Plus, this month's box came with a few coupons!
While it has been a few years since I was in college, I remember those days vividly so can totally relate to what a gal needs when away at school. Let's take a look inside to see what the Fall box has to offer!
Tazo Chai Pumpkin Spice, 3 bags - Buy 2 boxes of 20 for $15.75 on Amazon
What better way to ring in the changing season than pumpkin spice anything and everything?! This is their traditional black tea with a blend of chair and pumpkin pie spices. It basically tastes like you are drinking a warm pumpkin pie, which I loved! Tazo brand is on the pricey side so I could see a college student being very excited to get some much-needed pumpkin spice in their life!
Day 2 Day Zipper Pouch: Chevron - Value $4.96
This little pouch is so cute with the bold chevron print! I love that it is an easy to clean material in case anything spills or one of your pens explode, hey it has happened to me! The pouch is big enough to fit any supplies you might need for class or you could even use it as a wallet for your cards, money, and even your phone! A great multi-purpose bag that is cute too!
Skull Rose Air Freshener: Rose - Value $7.95
This is a bold little air freshener with the sugar skull shape and fun drawings! The rose scent was very strong, so much so that I could smell it when I opened the box, but it really grew on me as I had it sitting out. The design was a bit much for me to put in my car, but I loved the scent so much that I decided to hang this in my coat closet to bring a fresh scent to the small space. For a college student, I could see this being used in a similar way since dorm rooms can be stinky and you aren't allowed to have candles burning.
Day 2 Day Sticky Notes, 280 piece - Value $1.99 on sale
I don't know if my picture shows just how small these little notes are! They are very cute, but I had a hard time wring much of anything on them. I could see these being great to use when studying or reading a book assignment because you make notes without having to write in the margins! For me, I am going to use these on my weekly calendar that I keep on our fridge for my family, little notes go a long way!
NPW Neon Crayons - Value $7.03
These are like a highlighter in crayon form. The colors didn't show up that great when I tried to use them, but I could see these being great as a study tool. You can use them as a highlighter or even a fun distraction to make notes when you need a quick break in the library. My son was obsessed with the colors of these crayons so he claimed them as his!
You Are Amazing Smooth It Out Wash: Tropical Kiwi, 8 fl oz. - Value $3.99
You Are Amazing is microbead free in an effort to save water, wildlife, and the environment. I love when I know I can safely use a product that helps the environment and my skin! This exfoliating scrub and wash was so delightful. It honestly felt like a spa sugar scrub, and the tropical kiwi scent was so fruity and sweet. Normally I emerge all red after using an exfoliating wash, but this left my skin looking smooth and fresh. I did feel a little dry after using two days in a row but nothing that a little daily lotion couldn't fix! I think this would be a wonderful surprise for any college gal that could use a little pampering daily!
Swedish Fish, 2 oz. - Value $1.25 (Buy 24 packs for $30)
Ah Swedish Fish why are you so yummy?! Candy was the way to my heart when I needed some stress relief during those long weeks of classes and studying. This is the perfect size bag to take with you to the library or to just enjoy on an afternoon at home like I did!
Project 7 Gum: Sour Caramel Apple, 0.53 oz. - Buy a pack of 12 for $16.75
I had no idea there was such a thing as gourmet gum but I have been missing out! This little gum packs a ton of flavor with a rich caramel apple and super sour taste. I honestly could have eaten multiple pieces at once. This isn't the type of gum you can chew for a long time though, it did get hard pretty quickly. The resealable bag makes this perfect to keep on hand as a sweet treat while you are walking from class to class.
Modern Oats 5 Berry Oatmeal, 2.3 oz. - Buy a pack of 6 for $9.29 on Amazon
Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day and probably the one that people most frequently skip. I know I never felt like I had time to eat breakfast in college. Most of the time I had early morning classes so this would have been a huge help and time saver to make quickly in my dorm. All you have to do is add boiling water or pop it in the microwave to warm! The oats were thick and creamy so they really fill you up for the day. The 5 berries made this extra sweet with some tartness that really helps to curb any sweet cravings. I really loved this little oatmeal and that it gave me so much energy to start my day.
2 Jouzge Bars: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough & Chocolate Peanut Butter, 1.3 oz. - Buy a pack of 8 for $23.04 on Amazon
These bars are packed with 7 grams of protein and only 130 calories! When you are on the go, even if you are in college or a busy Mom like me, you always need that extra protein to help get you through the day. I also love sweets so having something that tastes like the real deal is a huge plus, these bars honestly felt like eating a candy bar. They look homemade with love and taste that way too, the chocolate chip cookie dough was hands down my favorite! Pop these in your backpack, or diaper bag for me, to eat while you are on the go to give you that extra bit of energy to power through!
Fancy Pants Baking Co. Brown Sugar Oatmeal Crunch Cookies, 5 oz. - Buy a pack of 2 for $9.99
In college, all you want sometimes is a home cooked meal or some fresh out of the oven cookies. If you are in school far from home, that might not be a reality until you are on break, but these crunch cookies should do the trick! While they are very crunchy, they crumble with every bite in the best way. The brown sugar just melts in your mouth and the oatmeal makes it so creamy. I could see this being a great late-night snack or something to enjoy with an afternoon cup of coffee!
Angie's Boom Chicka Pop: Pumpkin Spice Kettle Corn, 4.5 oz. - Value $4.99
Popcorn was and still is a staple snack for me. This pumpkin spice flavor really helps bring the flavors of Fall together. The kettle corn is sticky and sweet with a thick coating of the pumpkin pie spices and what sort of tasted like chocolate but there wasn't chocolate listed in the ingredients. This snack was packed full of flavors and so sweet. I could see this being great to enjoy while watching a movie or to take with you to watch your school's rugby team (my school didn't have a football team so ruby was our fall sport)!
Verdict: I wish CampusCube was around when I was in school because this box was awesome! I went to school five hours away from home and, while I loved it, I did get homesick a lot. My parents were constantly sending me care packages that they put together, but I know my Mom would have loved the ease of CampusCube instead. I also love that you can order a single box around exam time, such a nice surprise for any student!
Even being out of college for many years now, I totally see the value of each product and loved them all even now not being in college. Now that you can buy a single cube, the cost of this box comes to $39.95. Since I received a whopping 15 items, that breaks down to $2.66 per item, which I know many of the products that I could find in the size I received online cost more than that. Overall, I think the value here is being able to provide your college student with a curated box that you know will provide a variety of products that they can use. It is easy for the parents to order and not worry about shipping or forgetting to send a care package out, and it is such a warm reminder for the student that is far from home. Being in college is stressful and it seems as though CampusCube is working to ensure that they provide a little fun and food!
