Check out all of my FabFitFun Box reviews and the Women’s Subscription Box Directory!

The box comes with a booklet detailing each item included with prices:

Now, time for the items!

Spongelle Body Wash Infused Buffer in Honey Blossom – Value $16

This is one of my favorite subscription box beauty discoveries!

If you aren't familiar with Spongelle, you are in for a treat! It infused with body wash, and the sponge is firmer than your typical bath pouf, so you get exfoliation added in, as well!

This scent is powdering in sweet, with notes of vanilla. (And it should last for at least 14 uses!)

tarte The Lip Architect Lipstick and Liner in Muse – Value $24

This item costs more than the box alone, so if you're a tarte-lover like me, I'd think of this box as a discounted tarte lippie, and three other items for free!

This side is the lipstick, and on the other end is the lip liner:

This shade is a light pink, and the pigment is great in both the liner and lipstick. Here they are swatched:

This liner goes on matte, and the lipstick has a bit more moisture and a hint of shine.

Whish Beauty Rice Milk & Rose Hydrating Face Mist – Value $28

Whish is ingredient-conscious and uses all natural ingredients!

This mist is refreshing, hydrating, and my favorite part? The mist itself is super fine! No messing up makeup!

Summer & Rose Foldover Clutch in Burgundy – Value $68

(FYI – if you want this clutch in black instead, check out the FabFitFun Editor's Box.)

This clutch has gold hardware with a coordinating lining:

This clutch measures 10 X 12 inches opened up.

This is a vegan leather clutch, with a velvet stripe accent.

Here it is with some items to give you a better sense of scale:

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $136! I think that's great for a $20 box. And like I said earlier if you'd pay full-price for tarte like me than everything else is just bonus!

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes. If you sign up and use coupon code START your first box will be the $19.99 Starter Box.

Coupon use coupon code START

Value Breakdown: At $19.99 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Clutch: $9.99
  • Spongelle: $2.35
  • Tarte Lipstick Duo: $3.53
  • Whish Mist: $4.12

What do you think of the FabFitFun Starter box?

I just recieved my starter box and was extremely unhappy..
My box included 4 items
1. Brown lip gloss by a company I’ve never heard of. (Who wears brown lip gloss)?
2. Hair oil. (I have fine hair-won’t work for me)
3. Hand cream that was damaged and smelled bad.
4. A child size, cheap, pleather crossbody bag (with several loose threads)
-Fabfitfun claimed the total value of these items to be 145.99..Sorry folks, that is totally overinflated..This company is nothing more than a bait and switch scam. Save your money and purchase products that you will love and use. Dont waste your time on a mystery box of junk that you will invariably throw in the garbage. Its obvious the items are low quality, useless or things they are buying on close outs (like the brown lip gloss). I’m sure that was a shade nobody bought and the manufacturer was trying to unload it on someone. This is the kind of junk you will receive. Run..Dodge this bullet!!!

Personally I’ve been using and loving fabfitfun for over a year now and have loved nearly every product! Sorry you had a bad experience but remember one bad apple doesn’t spoil the whole bunch! Getting $300 of quality products for &49 is amazing! Anything I don’t want I give as gifts to friends.

Is the same starter box they’re giving out now?

I got a $2 starter box and while it took forever to get here, I got this exact box! I couldn’t be happier! I already had to cancel my sub because otherwise it would have started 10 days ago, way before I got the box, but depending on the spring spoiler I will definitely be signing up again!

I want to get that cranberry clutch in a box and cant seem to. I ordered the editors box and they gave me the winter box instead Any ideas how to get that clutch?

Reply ButtonReply

lisa

i just opened my starter box last night and was pleased with everything except that clutch. man, it seems cheap – the liner was bunched up and i wasn’t able to flatten it and poke it into the bottom corner on one side. it won’t zip all the way and has 2 indentations on the back that look like holes and are likely not going away. the spongelle is great and, while i was initially put off by the intensity of the scent, it left a sweet lingering smell that i couldn’t get enough of. the whish spray is nice…not something i would typically order for myself so that is nice. i would have preferred a different color lip liner and color, but the tarte product is nice. given the price of the box (i used liz’s code and got it for $19.99), i was happy overall but my hopes are way high for the winter box, my first full-sized box.

Does anyone know if there will be a Black Friday deal? I’m wondering if I should wait to subscribe.

Thanks for your help 🙂

I just got my box! I purchased this for $19.99 with the code START. It’s exactly like the spoiler. Love the burgundy clutch with the gold accent and lining. The lippie is a great nude on me. Another spongelle is always appreciated. The mist is just a treat that I would never purchase for myself.

Natalie

Ugh I’m so disappointed! I bought the box for the clutch and today when I opened my box it was nothing like I expected! No clutch! None of the spoilers listed above. Instead I got the Good Morning Gorgeous mug, the Love AJ rose gold lariat necklace and the Real Her palette. I was looking forward to trying a spongelle too! I used one of the free friend codes for the box, so I only paid the $2 for shipping, so it’s hard to be mad but I was excited about the clutch!

I believe you had to use the code Liz provided (START) to get this starter box. I used the START code and received the exact contents of this box today.

MicheleDeG

I believe the $2 boxes are completely different and random than the $20 starter boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

Buyer BEWARE! I spoke with a rep regarding the starter boxes and was told they are curated randomly and they cannot guarantee you will receive the exact items as stated in this review! So be cautious when ordering !!!

Reply ButtonReply

Jacki

It makes no sense for them to provide a box for review purposes if the boxes are completely random. Mine arrives tomorrow and I will be very disappointed if it isn’t as shown.

Reply ButtonReply

Helen

I think it depends if you paid $2 or $20 for it. The $2 ones seem to be different than this post and the items a bit more random.

Teresa

Any one else get the black clutch instead of burgundy?

Mandy G.

This is not the box that was sent to me as the Starter Box. I got mine today.
It has a BKR bottle, Brigeo hair conditioner, and a Jook and Nona ” Happy” brass plated necklace in it.
Those were the total contents.
There was absolutely no literature in the box either, except a warning card that if I didn’t cancel, I would be getting the next season’s box.

Did they run out of the ” nice” boxes? This is very old stock, right?
To say I’m sad would be a gross understatement. Also, the box was plain brown cardboard with a sticker banner that said ” Prepare to be AMAZED” or something similar that I wasn’t feeling at all, anyway.

Nicole

I’m going to be so mad if I don’t get this box as advertised here on MSA! I almost purchased the editors box and went with this one for the bergundy clutch. That is not right to promote certain contents and then send completely different ones.

Reply ButtonReply

Helen

Did you get the starter box for $20 or did you get an invite to get it for $2? Because I sent my sister an invite to get it for $2 and she got the same box you did. So maybe they have different starter boxes for each option?

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

Wait only $2…what?

Suzanne

That’s velvet? It looks like suede

Julia

These “foldover clutches” would be foldover clutches if the area of the fold had firm support in it. Since it doesn’t, all you’re doing is clutching a folded-over big pouch that flaps limply. I fell for that nonsense with the Popsugar box that had a woven Tribe Alive one. Not again.

I caved! After reading all the reviews for months, I kept avoiding this one….but I’m onboard now……this makes 15 subs…uh oh.😂😂

Reply ButtonReply

Sharon in SE TX

I’m getting my box next week too. I can’t wait! This is my first experience with FabFitFun. I hope there won’t be any substitutions. I’ll be so disappointed if there are.

I received my box today and it is *exactly* as pictured here! I’m happy and relieved. Thanks Liz for the information on this offer.

Is there any way for current subscribers can purchase this box? I love everything in it!

I can’t wait to get mine! I started an account with another email address b/c I really wanted that clutch and face mist and it’s such a good price!! I’ll really enjoy the bath sponge and lippie as well.

I think I’m gonna do the same! Such a great value & awesome items for only 20$ can’t beat it!

I am tempted to do the same 🙂

Hey Liz I sent you an email about the full FFF winter add-ons so you could post them on here. I also posted them on my Instagram @amandavtotheela if you wanted to post them to your Instagram page as well. 😀

Reply ButtonReply

Jacki

Oh no! My wallet is going to empty after this! Thanks for the spoilers!

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

Mine too lol…you’re welcome. 😀

AnninVA

Amazing sleuthing Amanda! If these are all the add ons I will get a lot less than I got for fall. Where are the Massi throws?

Reply ButtonReply

Abby

Kinda frustrating since MSA is usually all about spoilers, but I think that since Liz is affiliated with FFF she isn’t going to post Add-on spoilers until FFF wants her to to.

I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with this. It’s her business, and from my understanding part of how she runs this site is by building relationships with some of the bigger subscription box companies, like FFF. Notice how she gets sent every box to review, and often has the exclusive and first spoilers/reviews for new boxes. It seems they send some spoilers to her directly for advertising. She also, like youtubers and other influencers, often gets sent add-on items early to post about, and drive traffic to FFF. I’m sure she’ll post about add-ons, probably revealing a few, around the time they open, but not before then. Again, I understand this is a business decision for her, and I repect that but I think at this point the reason she hasn’t posted the spoilers on your instagram is because it isn’t what FFF wants, not because she hasn’t seen the comment/email, although I that is possible and I may be wrong.

Liz Cadman

Hi Abby,

Sorry for not seeing this thread sooner! We’re waiting for confirmation on these spoilers from FFF – since these were released by accident, there’s a chance the pricing info or products may not be final, so I wanted to verify before posting.

Hope that helps clarify!

(And thank you so much, Amanda, for sharing these with us!)

Amanda Vela

Oh that’s fine…I respect Liz’s decision if she wants to wait. It was a glitch in the system so I’m glad I could post about it since I have no ties to FFF. 🙂

CT

Nevermind, it works from my laptop (it didn’t work from my phone) 🙂

Thank you for showing these! I may re sub 🙂

Amanda Vela

I also put a few screenshots of the add-ons on my Twitter…same username…but I was able to post all on my Instagram…glad you were able to see it. 🙂

CT

Hi Amanda, I don’t have instagram and when I type your username to see the spoilers on the search engine, i don’t see anything pop up. Can you please put the link in here?

Thank you=)
