Kylemore Abbey Cranberry Sauce, 270 g. - Retail Value $5.37 USD
Cranberry sauce is something that I have grown to love and is a staple at our Thanksgiving dinner table. My Mom cooks my grandma's traditional cranberry sauce recipe, slow cooked on the stove with loads of sugar. While nothing could ever compare to that dish, this cranberry sauce came in a pretty close second! Kylemore Abbey & Gardens is set in Connemara and run by the Benedictine nuns. You can really taste the love in this super fresh, tart, yet perfectly sweet cranberry sauce!
The Chocolate Garden of Ireland: Classic Hot Chocolate Swirly Stick, 1.42 oz. (2) - Total Retail Value $4.78 USD ($2.39 each)
Give me all of the hot chocolate swirly sticks! I have never made hot chocolate this way before, but it is the way to go! The Chocolate Garden was established in 2001 in Tullow. They kindly sent two of the chocolate sticks so that you can share with a loved one, tis the season! To make this cup of chocolate goodness simply warm a cup of milk in the microwave for two minutes then swirl the chocolate stick around to make the perfect cup of hot cocoa. This was rich, creamy, sweet, and oh so good!
The Chocolate Garden of Ireland: Milk Chocolate Fruit & Nut Bar - Retail Value $4.18 USD
Our second item from The Chocolate Garden is this handmade fruit and nut chocolate bar. The chocolate itself was so creamy and sweet. In each bite, you get a bit of the nut mix with the tart berries. I don't think I've ever had such a fresh tasting chocolate bar! The fruit and nut blend looks as though it was delicately sprinkled on the top of the bar and adds this delicious layer of flavor, not to mention a powerful crunch! I know I should have shared this chocolate bar, but it was too good to not eat all on my own!
Foods of Athenry Irish Oats Porridge, 45 g (2 packs) - Retail Value $5.91 USD
Irish oats were a favorite for me when I was growing up, and I found myself craving them when I was pregnant with my son! They are so filling and fluffy because the oats are somehow bigger than other oatmeal packets I have tried. The Foods of Athenry started as a family farm but quickly turned into a bakery that specializes in gluten-free products. This sunshine start blend is filled with raisins, apricots, and sunflower seeds to help kickstart your day!
Ditty's Biscuits: Stem Ginger Shortbread, 200 g. - Retail Value $4.30 USD (currently out of stock)
I love shortbread cookies, but add ginger to them and oh my you have something incredible! Ditty's Home Bakery is an award-winning shop based in Castledawson in Co. Derry. They make some delicious shortbread cookies, but this stem ginger blend is perfect for the holiday season. Each cookie just melts in your mouth from that yummy butter and has a delicate spice from the stem ginger. This little tin of cookies would make the perfect hostess gift for your next party or to have on your cookie table this season.
Sheridan's Cheesemongers Mixed Seed Crackers, 120 g. - Value $4.99
Sheridan's Cheesemongers is well known in Ireland for their, you guessed it, cheeses! This box brings us some of their other products like these mixed seed crackers! Each cracker is made with unbleached Irish flour, butter, poppy, and sesame seeds. The crackers are crispy and thin, perfect for a jam or chutney. Speaking of chutney, scroll down for more from Sheridan's!
Sheridan's Cheesemongers Christmas Chutney, 370 g. - Retail Value $5.01 USD
Here we have a Christmas Chutney from Sheridan's Cheesemongers. While I wasn't able to find this blend in their online shop, they do have a few other chutney's that you can purchase. This festive blend is made in the early autumn in small batches to allow each jar to mature for the holiday season. This chutney is made with fruits and nuts which bring out a lovely tartness. I spread my chutney on the mixed seed crackers for a beautiful cocktail hour snack!
Verdict: I come from a big Irish family that holds our heritage very dear to our hearts, that includes cooking lots of recipes that were passed down. Irish Taste Club really hit home for me and I loved the whole experience from this month's box. The information paper felt like a note written to me from a family member, so much thoughtful detail that felt personalized. I also love that Irish Taste Club is focusing on bringing Irish produce right to our door, as they say on their website, an Irish Farmer's Market. With the holiday season in full swing, this box really felt warm and cozy with the perfect products for the cold weather. I honestly can't wait to see what the December Irish Taste Club has to offer!

Value Breakdown: This box is $49 a month with free shipping. I received a total of nine items, which is an average of $5.44. Most of the items were listed in euros, but converting to dollars, I got a total of $34.54 in products this month. Overall, the value per item does come in short of the monthly cost. While I loved this box, I would like to see a few more items included next month or one higher price item to bring the overall value up more.
