Included in the box is a mini magazine with various articles for my reading enjoyment. This month’s theme is “Fall Flair.”

Blessed Mode graphic long-sleeve tee

Long Sleeve V-Neck Tee - Listed Value $32.00

This heather grey long sleeve v-neck t-shirt has “Blessed Mode” inscribed on the front of the tee. Their shirts usually fit me; this was the first time their t-shirts weren't a good fit. This particular shirt was snug, even for a 2XL. The link above is for their raglan tee, this particular tee that was in this month’s box, I didn’t find on their website. I have found over the past month’s their shirts have been of good quality and fit, except for this shirt, in regards to size.

checkered apron with contrasting pocket and tie

Linen Apron - Listed Value $19.00

This linen apron with a checkered pattern has a pocket in the lower middle area of the apron, perfect for storing miscellaneous items while cooking. I usually don’t wear aprons, but this product is an appropriate item for November with all the cooking for Thanksgiving. It would have been nice to receive before the holiday, but this will be useful for all the holiday baking in December. Plus, the apron was a good fit and an appropriate length.
gray, white and red color blocked socks

Bottom of sock with "Please Bring me Wine" saying

“Bring Me Wine” Socks - Listed Value $7.99

I love receiving socks in subscription boxes. I have an assortment of styles I have received over the years. Plus, my feet are always cold at night, so I’m constantly going through socks. This particular design was snug pulling over my feet but once on it was a comfortable fit. These socks have “If You Can Read This” on the bottom of one sock and “Please Bring Me Wine” on the bottom of the other sock.

You Naaame It! Sticker

“You Name It” Fridge Magnet - Listed Value $4.00

This refrigerator magnet has a lady holding a plate of turkey with her saying, “I got beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes, lamb, ram, hogs, dogs, chicken, turkey, rabbit….” This phrase comes from gospel singer Shirley Ceasar’s song “Hold My Mule.”  The song is here and at 5:50 is where she sings the phrase that went viral last year with the #UNameItChallenge. The challenge started around Thanksgiving with individuals dancing and twerking to the phrase. It’s amazing how one short phrase became a viral sensation.

Blessed and Highly Favored printed pillowcase

“Blessed & Highly Favored” Pillow Cover - Listed Value $18.00

This black velvet pillow cover with gold lettering has “Blessed & Highly Favored” inscribed on the front of the pillow cover. The pillow cover is 16”x16”. I have two throw pillows that I change up with various styled pillow covers; this will go in my rotation. This design is chic and will enhance the décor in my living room.

Blessed and Highly Favored printed pillowcase with pillow inside

Here I have a pillow I own covered with the pillowcase.

plaid blanket scarf draped

Blanket/Scarf - Listed Value $16.00

This versatile multi-colored plaid blanket scarf can be styled multiple ways as a scarf or just use as a blanket. The material is thin and not as thick as some blanket scarves I have received in the past. I would opt to wear as a scarf or I may gift to my Aunt who would appreciate this. Also, I have seen a trend of blanket scarves in fall/winter boxes in the past.

8x10 Print-“Happiness is an Inside Job” - Listed Value $13.00

This quote is an excellent reminder to display in my home, that my happiness comes from within. This 8x10 print has “Happiness Is An Inside Job” written on the front. I will need to find a frame so I can display in my apartment.

Big Book of Black Businesses 2017

This 51-page holiday guide showcases black-owned businesses and “mini-moguls.” The guide includes products for the bookworm, for the home, for the foodie, for the kids, gifts for men, and beauty products.  Izzy & Liv had sugar steals week, 10-days of deals from Nov.24th-Dec 3rd. Were you able to snag a deal from their 10-days of deals? I appreciate the founder, Nicole for this comprehensive listing of the various businesses. I must admit I don’t  patronize or support my brothers and sisters entrepreneurial efforts as I should. This guide will steer me in that direction to give my support.

Verdict: The Brown Sugar Box has a boxed value of $109.99 - an incredible deal for a $44.90 box. The November box has a lovely assortment of items to guide me into the colder weather, adding décor to my apartment and a holiday guide to assist me in my holiday shopping. This box delivers in sending its subscribers chic, useful, trendy items to enjoy as well as a monthly t-shirt with encouraging phrases. The only drawback is I receive my box at the end of the month and if an item has a seasonal or holiday item I miss on experiencing the product during that particular season or holiday. Regardless,  this box is a delight, and I enjoy receiving each month.

To Wrap Up:

Those socks are too cute…LOL
I like the shirt but I don’t like when subs include clothing items and you can’t select your size.
I’ve seen Facebook ads for this box so I’m happy to see a review of it.
Looking forward to seeing it reviewed again.

Lola

Doesn’t seem to be a cohesive box. Almost like they just tossed stuff in. Maybe I’m spoiled with themed boxes. A couple things look nice but not the box for me
