Check out all of my Target Beauty Box reviews and all of our reviews of Cheap Subscription Boxes!

This box comes with an info card and a Target coupon good for $5 off a beauty purchase of $20 or more from the featured brands.

Now, on to the items!

Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask - 1 oz. Value $4

(Good to know for swapping - this has an inner foil seal.)

Word of warning when opening this mask - it isn't your typical clay mask consistency, it's more of a liquid and so it's a little messier if you aren't prepared!

But, good news, the mask dried quickly and left my skin feeling soft and smooth but not dried out after I removed it.

No. 7 Restore and Renew Serum - 5 ml Value $5.44

This serum is designed to help fight wrinkles, firming skin and lightening complexion. It's lightly fragranced, absorbs almost instantly, and I'm happy to report that this tube is completely full!

Soap & Glory Pillow Plump Lip Gloss - 0.13 oz. Value $4.80

This lip gloss has a sheer hint of color, lots of glossy shine, and a chocolate cake flavor! I liked everything but the tingly feeling designed to plump your lips. It just annoyed me.

Here it is swatched:

Sleek MakeUP Eyeshadow Palette in When The Sun Goes Down - .08 oz Value $3.09

(Also worth mentioning, the Target site lists this palette at .64 oz, but it is actually .08 oz.) In general, I'd say to go by the picture of the Beauty Box instead of the description if you are considering buying a box. (They've messed up sizing info before.)

This palette features 12 shimmer and matte shades in warm browns. In general, I was very impressed with the pigment and shimmer. Fallout wasn't too bad, either.

Here are all the shades swatched:

But there's something I have to call out. This palette is small. Like, "What is this ... A palette for ants?!" small.

Exhibit A:

If I was a kid I would be pumped to have an eyeshadow palette for my American Girl Doll, Molly, but as an adult, I'd say this palette isn't too exciting/usable. Basically, this is just a good way to test out their formulas.

Soap & Glory Righteous Butter Body Butter - 1.69 oz. Value $2.34

This body butter is rich, hydrating, and non-greasy. It's a bit too fragrant for me, though.

No. 7 Airbrush Away Primer - 0.33 oz. Value $6.60

(Good to know for swapping - this has an inner foil seal.)

Another No. 7 sample that is completely full! This primer felt so good on my skin and gave me a perfectly smooth finish to apply foundation. I normally don't buy primers because I get so many in subscription boxes, but should I ever need to, I'm going to buy this one!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $26.27. That's great for a $7 Target beauty box. Plus I love that Target did a box featuring only British brands!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, this is sold out. If you want to make sure you don’t miss out on the next Target Beauty Box, make sure to sign up for the My Subscription Addiction daily newsletter!

Value Breakdown: At $7 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Mask: $1.05
  • Serum: $1.45
  • Lip Gloss: $1.28
  • Palette: $.82
  • Body Butter: $.62
  • Primer: $1.76

Have to say, kicking myself a bit for missing this one!

Can I use the $5 off a $20 purchase coupon on the February box?

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

The coupon will expire by then.

Reply ButtonReply

Suzanne

Hmm it expires 2/4/18. I thought they usually have their boxes available by the 1st of the month. Just didn’t know if the box qualified.

JuJu

I just discovered another Boots brand on the Walgreens site, called YourGoodSkin.

Target doesn’t carry it.

I love the size of the eye shadow palette! I’ve been using the Stowaway one I got from Popsugar for the last couple of trips!

Suzanne

The serum smells awful. It’s way too perfumy. Ugh. Why do they do that?! The body butter is almost as bad. I wish I had known they were so incredibly fragranced cause I wouldn’t have wasted $7. I may be over sensitive as I hate perfumes too.

JuJu

Yeah, I am surprised every time I see skincare products formulated with fragrance, because the information on the irritating properties of fragrance has been available for decades, and yet the still include it…

Along with supposedly soothing formulas with menthol, alcohol, and so on. Just shows how much cosmetic companies know.

The only thing you can do, really, is just pick products without it.

Target has 20% off No7 and Botanics right now (online/Cartwheel). None of the targets near me carry botanics, so I just ordered online. I love Soap & Glory’s Vitamin C face wash and No7 Stay Perfect foundation if anyone is looking to try their other products. Walgreens does carry more No7/Soap and Glory products though.

JuJu

I am not seeing a discount on No7, only on Botanics and Soap & Glory.

Thanks for the recommendations!

I also saw both on Beautypedia and customer reviews that the No7 loose powder is outstanding.

This might be my favorite Target box ever. The Soap & Glory is one of my all-time favorite body moisturizers, and I actually love the tiny palette. I keep a fully-stocked bag of makeup minis at my desk and that will fit right in. Plus, it’s just cuter than cute. Depending on how I like the formula, I might even swap for extras.

Having tossed nearly the entire contents of the last 6 Sephora Play boxes (yes, I have since cancelled my sub) I was delighted by the quality and variety of this box. I have already bought more of the Soap and Glory butter! I check Target early in the morning, first Monday of the month and have never failed to get a beauty box. I do wish they offered a subscription!

I’m sad I missed this one 🙁

I actually do like how small the eyeshadow palette is! I love the colors but tend to get bored with eyeshadows quickly so this is perfect for me. The mask….whoa baby!!! So messy. I totally underestimated your comment on how liquid it was. I had it everywhere. I am pretty impressed with this box though. One of the better of the Target boxes I’ve bought.

I think I’m the only one here who loves a tiny eyeshadow palette- I mean how often do you go through an eyeshadow palette? Even as teeny tiny as this guy is it will work out great for travel, and there’s a nice color selection. Amesome for all the basic b*tch looks I love to do 😉 It was a little odd about the posted sizing though- their full size palette is .31oz, so I dunno where they came up with .64😛

shari

I love the tiny eyeshadow palette! Always thought they should be this size. My friend from high school once used a whole 3 eyeshadow compact, think it was covergirl or something. I asked her how long it took her she said a year and half of wearing it everyday! How often do we get the satisfaction of not wasting eyeshadow?

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

Yeah, if all my palettes were “ant size”, then maybe they would have actually fit on my dresser! 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Lin

Isnt this the idea behind the stowaway shadows from popsugar? It seemed cool and innovative then didnt it?

TP

Got the Best of Boots box. The scent of the Body Butter was a little too strong for me. I ended up giving it to my daughter. The lip gloss didn’t just tingle, it actually felt like it burned, so I tossed it. Enjoyed everything else though!

I bought a whole sleek set at Walgreen in early December, for $15. It had a beautiful looking large, compared to this one, palette. Unfortunately it’s pretty crappy eye shadow. Definitely won’t be purchasing anymore sleek shadows.

Helena

Hello all. I’m new to this site so I don’t know if this is allowed as I don’t have anything to swap. I was hoping that someone had an extra Boots box that they’d be willing to sell. Can transact through PayPal or quickpay. Will pay more than retail.

The reason I am asking is because I ordered the box and it was never delivered. It appears it was stolen. Target was great about giving me a refund but couldn’t replace because the box was sold out. I love mini things and I really wanted that pallete.

Reply ButtonReply

Emily

If you want the palette – I’m willing to swap for it. Just click my name and it should take you to my profile. I have the No. 7 Serum up there too.

Sorry to hear your box was stolen!

Perezangela801

I just ordered the Uk box just yesterday! I’ve noticed for days that they are doing a pattern with target. They release 5 every day around 2-4pm everyday and that’s how I got one finally! So it’s not sold out that’s why they said temporarily. They put them up everyday tho so keep a look out for those who still don’t have one and good luck! 🍀

Suzanne Powell

May I ask how we can swap? I’m waiting to get on the list, not sure why there is a waitlist. Ordered my box on Jan. 2. Still waiting to get it!

Reply ButtonReply

Crick

The eyeshadow palette reminds me of the Stowaway palette

I love their small makeup I think it’s brilliant , less waste because we’re supposed to replace it every three months

Reply ButtonReply

Sue

I agree about the palettes. I love a new eyeshadow palette, and I do like to replace them more often. This way, you can use it up instead of tossing a mostly full palette.

Reply ButtonReply

Alexis

Yesss I was hoping you’d say something in your review about the ridiculous size of the eyeshadow palette 😂 still glad I ordered the box, but the eyeshadow probably won’t ever get used tbh I’ve got similar colors in larger, more easily accessible palettes haha. But imo I actually love the strong scent of the body butter, I put a little bit on my hands & could not stop smelling them for like an hour LOL

Reply ButtonReply

Elena

I’m obsessed with Soap & Glory scent too! 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Koreen

I usually get the Target boxes, but didn’t get this one cause it sold out so fast, but LOL Liz, I loved your comments on the palette 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

VeronicaLM

Im so upset that this box is no longer available. I usually don’t find pallets that interest me but for some reason I really like this one and really want it. I had no idea it wD so small but I don’t care as I am only concerned about the Eyeshadow shades.

Reply ButtonReply

Emily

I’ve got mine up on the swap site. I think you can just click my name it’ll bring you to my profile.

Reply ButtonReply

Amber

You can purchase the palette for $12 at target. Just click the link that Liz gave and it’ll take you straight to it.

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

I am still thinking what to spend my $20 on, lol. Especially since I noticed that the Walgreens site has better prices for some of the items, and a larger selection of these brands.

Reply ButtonReply

MzBev

I love Walgreen’s with their sales and reward card. Plus, if you sign up for their beauty enthusiast program, you get extra points with any beauty purchase.

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

Yep, I got some sale items from them last night, signed up for Beauty Enthusiast, and got a bag of beauty samples worth $30 as well!

Debbi

Walgreens also has much better weekly sale prices on these brands if you are willing to hold off for awhile.

Luna

Oh my gosh, that palette is so cute!!! I just want to pinch it. haha.

That’s interesting about how liquidy the clay mask it. I noticed the directions on it state to shake well, and that’s exactly like a clay mask I just received today (but different brand) in my Botanic + Terre box. I thought it odd to have to shake a clay mask, but sure enough it sounded like pure liquid in there.

I’m also in the camp of those who haven’t received their boxes yet. Mine are scheduled to be delivered on the 16th. I’m looking forward to getting them, and baby-talking to the palette, “look at how cute you are!” as I pinch its corners. Okay, I’ll stop.

Annabella

LOL! Best comment yet!

Too funny, Luna!

I did get both boxes already and this palette IS adorable. I went through my brush stash and found several small ones that worked great with the little eye shadows. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Cortney

I tried out the primer today and found that it made my skin look REALLY dry and flakey. I actually had to wash all of my makeup off of my face and start over because I couldn’t go to work looking like that. I might give it a try again in the summer when my skin isn’t so dry but this was not a win for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

That’s a bummer. I still have their old “Photo Fix” primer they used to sell and it is amazing. Sorry to hear their new stuff does that because I think they discontinued Photo Fix. WHY?!

Reply ButtonReply

Chris

Me too Cortney after using that primer! My skin has never done that either! I LOVE that brand though in general and have been using it for years.

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

I was shocked at how small the palette was, but it was the first women’s box I’ve bought in months. I like it, just have to figure out how to use the tiny palette.

Reply ButtonReply

LR

I am still not getting the ‘Best of Boots’ title. Can someone clarify this for me? 😀
—anyway, the palette was small, but cute. great for your purse. the soap and glory is WAY to over fragrances and not natural smelling at all. I enjoyed the rest of it too. Such a great price obvi.

Reply ButtonReply

LR

oops. *too and *fragranced

Boots is the name of the very popular drugstore chain in England. It’s the equivalent of say Walgreens here in the US. No 7 is their popular skincare and makeup line. So “best of boots” probably is meant to represent the best of drugstore skincare/makeup. 😁

Reply ButtonReply

Debbie

Walgreens acquired Boots several years ago and became Walgreens Boots Alliance. These are all brands that they own.

LB

Lol. Boots is a pharmacy/drugstore in the UK. I can see how it can be confusing if you didn’t know that!

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

Cracking up! Thank You! I have even been to London…but only for two days. I didn’t know the drugstore chain name. Glad I have you all 😀

Erica

I thought I was the only one who had no idea what the title of this box was referring to
