Inspire Me Home Decor is a relatively new home decor subscription box. Each month you'll receive a box curated by Inspire Me founder, Farah Merhi.

(We're reviewing this box thanks to requests from MSA readers!)

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Everything was packaged securely wrapped in bubble paper and arrived intact. (Super important for a home goods box!)

The Subscription Box: Inspire Me Home Decor Subscription Box

The Cost: $99.99

The Products: Each month you will receive hand picked décor and accents that can be styled together or separately. Each box you receive includes décor items themed around a specific space in your home.

Ships to: US only.

This box comes with a set of cards that detail the items included.

There's a letter from Farah and an itemized card:

And she also included pictures for tips on how to style your items:

Now, on to the items!

Studded Vase - Value Listed $44.99

This vase is giant! It measures 13.5” x 8.5”.

I really like the modern shape mixed with the mercury glass material - this will work well with my living room decor!

Diamond Bowl - Value Listed $24.99

This bowl measures 5.5 H x 8”.

Unlike the vase, this piece has more of an uneven, antique-y vibe.

When I first saw it, I thought, "What am I supposed to do with this?" Well, that brings us to our next item:

Painted Pinecones - Estimated Value $10?

I linked to a similar product on Amazon, and I'm estimating that these would cost about $10.

And they included the perfect amount for the bowl:

I like this, but I'm disappointed to see this in a February box. I could be the only subscriber who feels like this, but at this point in the year, I'm putting away winter decor and anxiously awaiting Spring's arrival. Pinecones feel very December to me, and I would have preferred they sent an item that would feel appropriate for at least the next few months.

Marble Coasters - Value Listed $19.99

These marble coasters have a gold paint edge accent:

And they are HEAVY so it's good that they have foam circles on the bottom to make sure they don't damage your table:

To be honest, I think I might have preferred these without the gold, but my house is primarily greys, whites, and browns, so I probably could use some accent color!

Verdict: This box has an estimated retail value of about $99.97. I'm disappointed in the value since that is just under the $99.99 cost of the box (and I can't imagine those pinecones are worth more than $10). I know these are home goods, and shipping costs are high, but I still expect the value to be higher than the cost of the box. (It has been in previous months.)

I think for most home boxes the question comes up, "Could I buy similar items for less at Home Goods, TJ Maxx, etc?" If you're a bargain hunter and like putting together your own styled looks, I'd recommend going that route. If you see a value in getting coordinated items delivered to you complete with styling tips, I think this would be a great box.

For a 100 I feel like their packaging was safe but completely awful. I mean show a little love because it could go along way. I just think about other boxes at that price and they come looking like a present. I guess if it would take more away from the contents then no because sadly a few items were just…Blah! I did love your review Liz and really think you couldn’t of said it any better.

Liz, have you thought about reviewing Sundae Home? The price is in the $50’s and they have some very nice Home Decor items. I have received 4 boxes so far and have been happy with the contents.

A year later and I agree, I would love to see reviews for sundae home here.

Great review for a cold and unwelcoming group of items. This whole box, visually is icy, and I could take 99. to TJ Maxx etc and get so much more. This stuff would look great in Elsa’s castle.

Great review! These products look like Christmas/Winter clearance items from TJ Max.

Agree — definitely doesn’t seem like a box themed for Feb! I have very little silver or gold in my home decor, so I can’t imagine trying to incorporate these items at any time except the New Years.

These pieces look so much like the ones from last month, which I guess could be a nice thing – but I personally would like a little more diversity in a box. It seems pretty ho-hum to me, especially for something at this price point.

Great review and I agree. This seems like a winter box and under valued

I live in Ga and would be super peeved to receive pine cones as decorative accents. If I wanted painted pine cones I could cover my house in them.

I’m in GA as well. I was thinking the same thing. I should go in my yard, paint some up, and make a killing. Lol

I actually painted pinecones about two years ago. I went all over my yard and got a ton and painted them all different colors. This box was a total rip off. You can go to Goodwill and get bowls and vases and spray paint them and have them look the same.

Anna

We could make a Ga themed home box pine straw and pine needles everywhere.

Melissa

I love how honest and succinct you are, Liz! Great review as always.
