I was surprised to find that the Troll palettes are fragranced, since I don’t recall seeing that mentioned anywhere. It’s like a generic sweet, vanilla-y smell, I guess?
The highlight palette is SO pigmented. I have the feeling I’ll be using it more as eye shadow, especially on the inner corner of the eye.
And I DID receive the “not guaranteed” troll toy, lol.

I got this box after missing the ole box, and I am PUMPED despite everyone’s comments that this box isnt worth it. I’m a palette junkie so to me it totally is. I’ll probably swap away the sunscreen and lip products. I’m really hopeful I’ll get a troll in my box. When I was purchasing it I read that not every box is guaranteed a troll, but I’ve got my fingers crossed for one! 🙂

That’s weird. I haven’t had an issue getting the boxes, but I didn’t try to get either of the first two boxes. I do know you have to be careful because there is a 98 cent insurance charge that you have to uncheck. I bet that’s what happened, they ran out of boxes, but still charged the insurance. Which is obviously stupid.

I first logged in through the email and it was completely sold out. Then I got a text notification and used that link through my phone and was able to buy it. Seemed a little odd but I’ve never tried some of these new brands,

I gave up on trying to get this box. Was a overwhelming disappointed experience each time. I noticed they favor influencers over the norm anyways….
Example: 2 ppl both anxiously awaited the launch. Both got the box in their cart. Both ended up with a sold out message while checking out, BUT both were weirdly charged $0.98. Both people complained. Influencer mysteriously received the sold out box (free) with an apology etc… Norm person received the $0.98 back and that’s all. 😞

Either people feel that this box is not worth $58 no matter what the total value is (I am one of them) or people are worried about their finances in the wake of this virus and it’s impact on employment. I have never seen one of her boxes hang around this long, they are usually sold out in a hot minute.
As an aside, I feel that a lot of these subscription boxes are going to either lower their prices or try to ‘wow’ us with products in the coming months. People will be evaluating what they are paying for in the coming months in the face of reduced income and if the choice is between beauty subscriptions or food/rent, guess which one is going to be cut?

It’s both for me. I’m trying to save pennies now, but also, this box isn’t worth it to me. I wouldn’t use any of the makeup, for starters. Pretty much the only things I’m interested in are the Bite mask and FAB sunscreen.

Considering one Trill palette is $18 and you get 3! That almost covers the box price. Yes, please! Each box may be a different price depending on the products included. Shipping is free. And the items are just launching or hasn’t been out long. I wish they’d make the boxes smaller to maybe cut the price down. 🤷🏼♀️

I wish it would have shown the correct price. At the bottom is has $39, but this box is $58. At the lower price I would have tried for it. The higher price is just too much for me, right now.

I wonder why MSA left it at $39. I knew it was going to be $58 from posts on Reddit and was okay with paying $58 but I can imagine how frustrating it would be to expect it to be $39 and then find out it’s actually $58.

The prices varies every month depending on what’s in it. 1st was $39, 2nd was $54, 3rd was $42, now $58

The first box had an RV of $156 for the $39 price.
This box has an RV of $226. I think the price increase to $58 is reasonable — either way, you’re paying 25% of the total retail value.

The Kora and FAB both look good and make it worth the price. The Trolls palettes are cute, but I have similar colors for 2 of them and the 3rd is not colors I would use. I used to love Bite Beauty, had night mask, liquid lipsticks, lipstick, and lip crayon and now ALL of them give me a pretty immediate reaction and severly chapped lips. I know they use food grade items, but my overnight lip mask was only about 4 months old and it takes me weeks to get my lips back to normal. I am skipping this one because I got the OH one and it should get here today.

I had a similar reaction to the Bite Lip Mask, but they just reformulated it to be vegan. I am hopeful this will be better for me as I am allergic to lanolin and beeswax and their old formula had beeswax. If you haven’t tried the new formula, I would give it a try!

Good to know. I only used the Bite lip mask once or twice before I realized it was terrible. Hopefully the new formula is better. I don’t like Laniege either. The only 2 lip products that work for me are Fresh sugar and the Margot Elena balms (though the most recent Tokyo Milk one wasn’t good).

Yeah, I used the Bite mask for years, but at the end of last year (with my newest tube) developed clown lips. The worst chapping I have ever had in my life. Went to the dermatologist, and she gave me a sample of this cortisone lip balm (I think it’s Dr. Scott or something like that) and my lips healed right up. Now I just use aquaphor.

Wow I had the same reaction to the bite overnight lip mask after using it for only a few months. I switched to the Laneige ones and I haven’t had any problems although I do use Aquaphor on my lips as well. I got the olehenriksen one instead of this one this time around too. The eyeshadow palettes here I have duplicates of in another brand and the rest of it I just wasn’t Interested in. I hope more people were able to get it this time unlike the past few times.

Used a tip from an MSA commenter to use PayPal checkout — since you don’t have to re-enter personal info, it might be faster for some people. It worked! I managed to snag a box.
Really looking forward to the Kim Chi highlight palette & the FAB sunscreen. Everything else is just gravy. Might try to swap the Kora serum & neutral eye palette, but this box is pretty relevant to my interests!

Just an FYI, my email to let me know this was available said the Troll palettes are not guaranteed. It seems like that’s what everyone is talking about so thought I would share if no one else read the fine print on the email.

I feel like subs have been trying so hard to “wow” us with giant eye palettes that getting 3 small ones feels really refreshing to me. Instead of keeping around a bulky palette in which I only like 50% of the shades… I can just give away the extra palettes if I don’t need them.
