The July 2025 Box
As a beauty enthusiast, I have been a subscriber to a slew of make-up boxes. But Medusa's Make-Up is still pretty new to me. When the opportunity to review this box arose, I jumped at the chance, and couldn't wait to see what it was all about. After my first box, I became obsessed - so what does July's box have in store?! Read below to find out!
Wrapped in a beautiful pink foil mailer, it was love at first sight! I was so excited to see this in my mailbox that I actually jumped for joy! This month I again received a bubble mailer makeup pouch and was pretty excited about this bonus inclusion as they work great for travel! Now, let's dig in.
Kicking things off, we got an info card that lays out everything inside the box, complete with their retail values. This month's card features an adorable flamingo floaty, encompassing all things summer. There’s no official theme mentioned, but I’m more than ready to dive in!
Liquid Eyeshadow - Sophia - Retail Value $14.00
This month, the first item we received was Medusa's Make-Up liquid eyeshadow in a brilliant blue hue. Shimmery, vivid, and a little wild, it’s definitely not something I would have picked out for myself. It gave off slight "Mimi" vibes from The Drew Carey Show, so I was a bit apprehensive at first. But I decided to go subtle, dabbing just a tiny bit in the corners of my eyes as a playful nod to the upcoming Fourth of July. It actually turned out really cute! Easy to apply and impressively long-lasting, this eyeshadow is a great addition to any festive makeup look. I’m excited to experiment more with it over the holiday weekend.
Halo Glow - Sepia - Listed Value $14.00
The next item I received was a tube of "Halo Glow." This creamy formula doubles as a highlighter and applies very smoothly. Light in color, it creates a subtle shimmer that adds a soft, glowing finish. While I really like the formula, it's easy to go overboard, so I've learned to apply it with a light hand. It’s a great way to enhance my summer tan and creates a fun, radiant look that's perfect for outings and holiday gatherings.
Eye Dust - Pennywise – Listed Value $9.00
I’ve never watched the Stephen King Pennywise movie—and I don’t plan to—but I do love the coppery color this eyeshadow dust delivers! It comes in a small twist-cap container with multiple holes for shaking out the product. While it can be a bit messy to work with, it's extremely pigmented and gives a stunning metallic copper payoff. I applied it lightly since it's so vibrant, but it looked lovely on my eyelids. This was a great addition to the box, and I’m excited to experiment with it more. I’m genuinely impressed with this eye dust!
Eyeliner Pen - Listed Value $8.00
I’ve more or less retired eyeliner pencils, but when I received this brown one, I was intrigued. I typically use black liquid eyeliner to create a cat-eye look, but I found this brown pencil worked really well under my lower lashes for a wide-eyed, smoky effect. With its thicker tip and creamy formula, it’s easy to smudge for a rocker-inspired vibe. The lighter brown shade isn’t as harsh as black and actually complemented my skin tone beautifully. I was impressed!
Handaiyan Liquid Lipstick - Listed Value $9.00
The last item I received was probably my favorite. I love a good lipstick, but it has to have impressive staying power—and this one delivered. It came in a beautiful deep red shade and dried to a matte finish on my lips. The most surprising feature? The scent! It smelled strikingly similar to my 1990s Cucumber Melon body mist, which brought back major nostalgia. As for staying power—yes, it held up beautifully! I even gave my husband a smooch without leaving a red lip stain. Winning!
Here you can see my at home look featuring all of this month's products. As you can see, I did go light with the copper and blue eyeshadows, and it actually worked! Also shown are the strawberry earrings I finished this morning. I am loving how well the liquid lipstick matches the outer beads! Yay!
The Verdict
This month’s curation from Medusa’s Make-Up was one of my faves. The five items we received were great for the upcoming holiday weekend, and I really enjoyed all of them, even though the blue eyeshadow scared me a bit. The colors were perfect for summer, and I appreciated how bold and vibrant they were! Overall, I was happy with everything in this month’s bag, though I’m hoping to see six items in the August box. To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely receive the August box. Some past boxes are also available for a one-time purchase here.
Value Breakdown: I estimate I received $54.00 worth of items this month with these five items. This is more than double the cost of the box! That's definitely a good value for $22.95!
