I received this self tanner in a previous New Beauty Test Tube - and I love it. I just wish it was a larger size so I could get a full application out of it!

Herban Essentials Lavender Towelette - Value $1

Erno Laszlo Phormula 3-9 Balm - 2 mL Value $9.80

Wow this Erno Laszlo cream is $345 full size! It's supposed to help reduce and heal scars - at that price I hope it works!

Verdict: I paid $15 for this box and received over $30 worth of high quality beauty products. These are great products that I'm going to try - but I must admit, I get a lot more excited when there is at least one make up item in the box! What did you think of this box?

Will you review the November box? I was highly disappointed in mine and wanted your thoughts…

This was my first Sample Society box and I promptly cancelled my account. I’ve gotten larger samples from Birchbox and Beauty Army. For $15 this was completely laughable. Who sends conditioner with no shampoo? And who sends an olive skinned mixed race woman self tanner? Why did we take the beauty profile if they weren’t going to send items that pertained to our answers? In any case, I’m looking forward to my other boxes that are coming this month: Birchbox, ipsy, Beauty Army, and Pop Sugar Must Have!!

THIS is the Sample Society box I happened to open in front of my guy.. I was so embarrassed by the teeny sizes of every sample this month. I actually got my Sept. Glossybox ( which arrived on Oct. 4th) to show what the boxes usually look like.

I am not happy that they put a Jane Iredale self- tanner the size of a teeny lip gloss in an OCTOBER box which has always had premium, season- appropriate samples.

All in all, if I could send it back, I would. It will probably be thrown away, I dislike the contents that much. The Oscar Blandi is the only product I expect to like, and they should have paired a shampoo and conditioner, not just a single product.

Totally agree about ONE color product. Half the time SS is good. Half the time, it’s really lame. Last great product I received in their box was the purple Deborah Lippman nail polish.
