Travel Clutch for Jewelry - Value $29.99

I ordered during a promo they were having, and this was my mystery gift. I have tons of travel makeup bags, but no travel jewelry bags, so this turned out to be the perfect mystery gift for me!

This was on the inside of the Jewelmint box when I opened it up - I'm very impressed with the presentation!

Crystal Ball Necklace - Value $29.99

I love this necklace - it's the perfect combo of delicate, gold and sparkly for my taste! I also was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this piece. For $29.99 I wasn't expecting too much, and this definitely looks and feels like a quality piece - I'm thrilled!

Verdict: Now that I've seen the quality of Jewelmint pieces first hand, I think more Jewelmint purchases will be in my future! Do you subscribe to Jewelmint? Any jewelry you recommend?

I love the travel clutch for jewelery! I usually just throw my stuff together and it eventually gets tangled. Hence why I usually just say forget it and whatever jewelery I wore the day I leave is all I bring the whole trip. I love the color.

Yeah, what Michelle said. **points up**

I’ll be interested to see if your opinion changes after a few months.

During the holidays, JewelMint was offering a Mystery Box with four pieces worth, I don’t know, supposedly way more than what the box cost ($29.99 I think). My mom got these boxes for me and my sister-in-law as Christmas gifts and we were both kind of “what the hell?” when we opened them. (Actually, maybe you reviewed them – I should probably check your archives. Sorry – I just found this blog.)

The necklace in them looked pretty cheap and a little tacky, one bracelet was something of an eyesore, and the other bracelet was probably the most hilarious thing I’ve seen (in a sad way): It was a flimsy (fake?) leather watch band with no watch in it. It had a round open setting where a watch face should go, and even a little piece that looked like you’d wind the watch with it, but no watch. We thought maybe it was a mistake – like it was supposed to be an interchangeable band but they forgot to include the watch – until we looked it up on the JewelMint site and realized they were trying to pass it off as a fashion piece and calling it “The Timeless Bracelet” (har har). Neither of us would wear it. In fact, we died laughing just thinking of all the people who would probably say to us, “Um, I think your watch fell out of its watchband.”

The one cool thing in the box was a pair of disco ball earrings. I’ll give them that.

But needless to say, I haven’t really been a fan of JewelMint since. My mom doesn’t have very much money and it made me kind of sad to think of her spending it on that stuff.

So yes, I’m looking forward to your future posts about them. Who knows – maybe I’ll give JewelMint another chance one day.

I can explain “The Timeless Bracelet” – it’s a knockoff of a very well known design by Maison Martin Margiela.

I have two Jewelmint pieces. One I got in the December Glossybox and the other from the PopSugar Must Have Luxury box. I’m not terribly impressed with the quality of either, though maybe it’s better ordering directly from Jewelmint?
