New Subscription Box Alert! Doteable: A College Student Subscription Service

To me, Dotable is one of those subscription boxes you hear about, and wonder why it didn't exist already. Care packages sent monthly to college students? Of course that makes sense!

Here are the details:

The Box: Doteable

The Cost: $30 for the first month, $45 a month after that (free shipping)

The Products: For guys: a pair of boxers, a pair of socks, a shaving razor, core items (such as t-shirts and long sleeve shirts), unique Doteable deliveries that we've tested and love worth over $70, and a duffel bag. For girls: a pair of soft underwear, a pair of socks or tights, a shaving razor, core items (such as t-shirts, scarves, and long sleeve shirts), unique Doteable deliveries that we've tested and love, worth over $70, and a duffel bag.

I'm curious to see what extra items they include each month and the brands they use for the clothing items. What do you think of Doteable?

To be honest, the pricing is beyond what a college student would pay for items that could be purchased on their own. As much as basics are important to college students, I think they would do better with items that are fun and inspiring.

I got a Men’s Doteable (my husband is in college) this month and it was cute! It had a Calvin Klein black v-neck and puma socks – just like the picture. And UNIQLO boxers. I wouldn’t have minded receiving a package like this in college.

As a college student, I don’t think I’d like this much at all – and I don’t think anyone I know really would except MAYBE some of the more unkempt boys. We’re real people with varied interests and needs. And yes, most college kids are poor, but for far less than 45 dollars a month we can buy all these things for ourselves, and have a choice in it. Honestly, I find it a little insulting!
