Pink Fancy Box Review - February 2013 - Monthly Women's Subscription Boxes

The first Pink Fancy Box was probably the box I was most curious about in February. This wasn't my favorite box, but I'm used to getting some Fancy boxes I'm crazy about and some I'm just "meh" about, so I will continue subscribing and hope that March will be great for me!

The Box: Pink Fancy Box

The Products: $80+ worth of items selected by Pink.

Body Art Paint Sticks - Value $15

If I was still in college, I would have been thrilled to get these for game days. Now, I'm not if I would ever use these. They may go in the gift pile.

The rest of the message was on the bottom of the shirt. I probably wouldn't go out and buy this, but now that I have it I already wore it to work out!

Atlas of Remote Islands - Value $30

Verdict: I'm hoping I'll like next month's Pink Fancy Box more. I also would love if they included more info from Pink on why she picked the products. What did you think of the first Pink Fancy Box? (FYI the $20 gift for you card was a Canvas Pop coupon).

I was completely disappointed with the Pink Fancy Box. I was home sick with the flu when it came and I thought for sure it would cheer me up, but not at all. I think ‘meh’ is putting it mildly. I did wear the shirt because it was super soft, and I will probably wear it to the gym – but, it’s not something I would have ever considered spending money on. I e-mailed customer service immediately and cancelled but they never offered me any compensation 🙁 To make things worse, today I got an e-mail that I was charged for another month. It turns out that they cancelled my regular Fancy box instead. I am not a happy customer right now.

I just signed up a couple of weeks ago…my first box ships today (the 15th ) of each month. After seeing the February Pink box I’m scared now! Hope it’s way better as it costs a Canadian like myself $57 for this sub.

I was very disappointed with this box. This was my first Fancy Box. I’m first Canada so the price point is ok, ONLY if you get great items. This was horrible and if I could return it I would. What is anyone going to do with body paint in crayon form or this blank t-shirt. I would love to re-gift but i think all looks too cheap. A note from P!INK explaining why would help a little, but I feel like I was ripped off. I just cancelled my membership since its not worth the cost to me. 🙁

I was really close to getting this box. I’m SO glad I didn’t subscribe! I see nothing of Pink reflected in this box. It’s really just a hot mess! Even with the coupon code it’s not worth it.

I just looked up the value of those things on the internet and I got:

Atlas of Remote Islands – $19.80 (Amazon)

Body Art Paint Sticks – $8.49 (Perpetual Kid)

Casino Bottle Opener – $7.90 (Amazon)

Shirt – $24 (The Fancy)

Total = 60.19

I suppose with the $20 card thrown in it comes out to $0.19 over $80, but seeing as how the cheapest thing from Canvas Pop is $30 you still have to pay more money. I am so, so disappointed.

Oh I actually found where the original shirt is from: http://wordboner.spreadshirt.com/women-s-slim-fit-t-shirt-by-american-apparel-A10483616/customize/color/231

And there it’s retailing for $21.60, so that further detracts from the value of the box.

Completely agree with the dissappointment. Since they have already charged my card I’m giving it another chance this month but if that doesn’t work out better I’m cancelling as well 🙁

I just got my Pink and yes I was really disappointed too! I expected way more fun and exciting things. The only thing that I think could actually qualify for the pink box would be the bottle opener and even that isn’t great. I am canceling it and maybe just trying the regular Fancy box. Hopefully, there is another $25 off soon!

There is! I tried using 25OFF4 yesterday and it worked. I just assumed that the last one was 3 so this one should be 4 lol. I cancelled my food and resubbed using the coupon. How diabolical!

Awesome! Thank you for the code!

Thanks for the coupon code!!

I just received my box today. I also just sent an email to customer service about obtaining a refund. I am so disappointed with this box. I have several subs and this one is the worst. I thought it would be really cool and hip stuff that Pink uses. The t-shirt is vulgar and isn’t my size, and it isn’t even high quality. It was shipped super late after charging my card and it was all just thrown into the box.

My box should be here tomorrow, and after it comes I think I’m going to send an e-mail to customer service as well. I am really unhappy with the items included in the box. I have zero use for any of them and the value isn’t even that great. I’ve been super happy with my regular fancy boxes for two months now so this is a huge letdown.

Hi Lauren – definitely make a complaint. I left a comment on the P!nk subscription page on the Fancy site and I IMMEDIATELY got a response email from customer service and a small gift card for my woes. I have to say, that is really good customer service. The email said they are always striving to improve the boxes, so I think that the more people complain the better the boxes will eventually be!

Victoria

Agreed – I was expecting so much more. This looked poorly slapped together. Not worth the money at all. Especially compared to how much you get in other Fancy boxes!

I didn’t get this month’s Pink box but I’ve seen other peoples boxes and I wasn’t too impressed. I still decided to sign up for next month so hopefully it’s better.

An Atlas in the Pink box? But why? I was so tempted to order this box, but I’m glad I signed up for the regular Fancy instead.

I am canceling my Pink Box Subscription. I don’t know wher I would wear the tee shirt as my Gym has a rule of no swearing on apparel. I am not one for body painting. I have plenty of corkscrews so it will be regifted. The book looks interesting.
I might try the Coco Rocho box next month.
