POPSUGAR Special Edition Must Have Summer Fun Box Review

I wasn’t sure where to post my review, but had so say thanks. I just received my 1st Pop Sugar Must Have Pink box, a prior season’s box available on clearance a few weeks ago. I was thrilled with everything! Received high quality, specialty pieces from beauty, fashion and home carefully packed with a romance card.

I didn’t order the box reviewed above, but would grab it in a minute. Very impressed with Pop Sugar’s curation efforts, and thanks to Liz for posting Sub options from many, many different opportunities on one site that I’d otherwise miss.

TRY THE SARONG! Looked like one of the best items in the box to me! I have at least 8 sarongs and I wear them all the time. My go to comfort wear for around the house, sarongs are perfect for much more than a swimsuit cover. Try it….sarongs are pretty, and so comfortable, like being naked, but not.

Would anyone be interested in selling their sunglasses? I didn’t get the box and can’t but really love those glasses! Shoot me an email if so [email protected]

So happy with my box! I got a plain, sleek silver bottle, vanilla bean candle and the “Lynn” sunglasses. I love the style of yours and was hoping to get those! My sunglasses are kind of like grey-colored tortoiseshell rimmed aviators. Let me know if you decide you don’t like sunglasses anymore – maybe we can trade!

So extremely happy about this box. If any of you got the Christmas box, then you know why I’d be skeptical but I thought I would give them another shot since I’ve been enjoying my Must Have boxes lately and when I found out that there were a pair of House of Harlow sunglasses, I got excited (already knowing that it was worth the price of the box). Overall I am happy with my box. I got the Lynn sunglasses, which I really love. I also got the vanilla bean scented candle from Henri Bendel. But like one of the above commentors, I was hoping for some fun summer make-up or beauty product (besides the scrub) but I’m not complaining at all. Much improved over the Christmas box. I’m thinking they heard all the complaining because I use NOTHING from that box except for the candle and soap, which was not worth $100. So happy they put out a good box this time.

I just got my box and I love it! The violet candle is amazing and my bottle is pink and adorable. I got the Tilda glasses too and they are super sexy, but I don’t wear much gold. So, if anyone got the Fog style (which were in other boxes) I would be thrilled to trade!

This was so much fun to open wasn’t it??! I loved how they individually wrapped everything.

I have mixed feelings about mine (haha, what else is new). I was hoping for at least just one fun, summery makeup product – like a brightly-colored nailpolish, lipstick, self-tanner, coral eyeshadow, high-end sunscreen, etc.

And there was a dorky part of me that was secretly hoping we’d get a big floppy hat!

Aside from that, I’m using the Swell bottle as we speak – I put coffee in it this morning (and I’m pouring it into the Coco Rocha Fancy Box Creature Cup at my desk!) and YES, seven hours later the coffee is still piping hot! I’m also using the Starbucks Refreshers in my bottled water. I loved these two things!

The scrub was nice, the Truffle pouch was . . . interesting. It didn’t exactly scream Summer to me, but I’ll use it somewhere. And I’m with you on the sarong – I think I already own three and I don’t know if I’ve ever worn any of them. Maybe this year will be the Summer of the Sarong. 🙂

The thing that bummed me out – or not! – was they put TWO pairs of the House of Harlow sunglasses in my box and left out the Henri Bendel candle. And the sunglasses were both the same style. (PLEASE POPSUGAR, IF YOU’RE GOING TO SCREW UP, AT LEAST GIVE ME TWO DIFFERENT STYLES!) Even if they ran out of candles or something and tried to compensate with extra sunglasses, I wish they would have paid attention to the styles they were packing.

Speaking of, the style you got was wayyyy cooler than mine. Mine were PLASTIC with silver accents. But they look good on me, which was a relief. That would suck if the big-ticket box item looked horrible on my face.

(I emailed Popsugar and told them they accidentally put two of the same sunglasses in my box and no candle. Asked them if they wanted me to send the extra pair back – because I’m GOOD like that! 🙂 Haven’t heard from them yet. If not, I’ll give the extra pair to a friend – she’ll be thrilled!)

Anyway – sorry for the novel. I liked this box. However, if I knew then what I know now about the contents, I probably wouldn’t have forked over $100 for it.

I’m still a huge fan of POPSUGAR Must Have boxes though. 🙂

OMG!! I am soo glad I got this box!! I haven’t received mine yet it’s supposed to be here tomorrow but I am definitely very excited about it!! Really hoping for the same glasses you received!!

I got exactly the same box as you did. Even the same sunglasses! My candle scent is Lilac instead of fig. I would’ve rather had the fig, but I’m not complaining! I love everything! Even the blue color of the bottle. I have to lose weight to use the sarong, but it is beautiful. Yay! (My very disjointed opinion 🙂 )
