Yeah, sadly I received those emails too. Yesterday, all 7 boxes remaining on my subscription appeared on my doorstep. I’ve opened them all and am sorting through and it turns out a lot of the stuff are duplicate and triplicate, I guess because they had to get rid of the subscription stock. So I have to share with a friend’s dog.

My pup is spoiled because I got him Barkbox too, but we will miss Pawalla. It was like Christmas every month. I rarely even go to the actual pet store anymore except for a few things.

I shall read your Barkbox review next. I had the Pawalla Mini, so there is probably not much difference, but I was about to upgrade to the Deluxe Pawalla. Too bad I hadn’t done so earlier, imagine the bounty I would be sitting on now.

below is the email that pawalla sent to long-term subscribers:

Dear long term active subscribers,

Many of you still have 1 – 8 months remaining on your subscriptions. We want to do our best to honor your orders and so we will ship you the boxes that you are owed all at once.

We hope that your furry friends enjoy their goodies and we thank you, again, for being wonderful supporters of the Pawalla family.

All the Best,

you might want to update your review (or add another post) stating that pawalla no longer does the subscription boxes. here is there initial announcement (i’ll also post the one they sent to long-term subscribers):

Dear Valued Customers,

It is with sincere regret that Pawalla is no longer operating as a subscription service.

It has been a great pleasure to provide joy for your dogs and cats this past year.

Though were are discontinuing our service, we will be fulfilling your remaining orders as best as we can.

For active subscribers, the August box will be your last box from Pawalla. We have shipped the last batch of August boxes out in the last a few days. If you have not received it yet, you will in the next 2 weeks. Your card will not be charged again.

Long term active subscribers will receive an email shortly explaining what will happen with their subscriptions.

We are also partnering with Barkbox and PetFlow for those of you who wish to continue a subscription service for your pet. Dog subscribers should migrate to Barkbox and receive $12 off the first month and cat subscribers can migrate to PetFlow with $5 off the first month.

For Barkbox: Use coupon code PAWALLA12 for $12 off your first month.

For Petflow: Use coupon code srb9 for $5 off your first month.

Thank you all so much for your continued support of Pawalla. We wish you and your furry friends all the best for the future.

I am so excited that I’m finally hearing about a box that I can get for my kittys!! Although I do love dogs, I’m a crazy cat lady in training and have been waiting for a cute box for cats! I’ll have to find a review for a cat option because this box looks excellent!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Reading this finally got me to sign up for the mini of the cat and dog boxes. Thanks a lot. And I am so glad to see that I’m not the only one with a pet who is a picky eater. ๐Ÿ™‚

This looks like a good box! I will have to look for a review of the cat version.

FYI: I love Cloud Star dog treats for my pups! I can almost always find them at TJMaxx or Marshalls at a discounted rate, but also at specialty and mainstream pet stores. Compared to other dog treats, they are comparably priced, but I feel so much better about the ingredient list than many others.

This looks like a great box, but the value is just barely over the cost of the box itself and considering my above comment, not sure if this is worth it. I have been contemplating a dog subscription for awhile, but given how easy it is to find discounted, but quality, dog treats and toys at stores, I haven’t seen one that seems like an awesome deal.

Be careful to not get the Bed Head in your doggie’s eyes. I sprayed my dog with it and then she freaked out and tried wiping it off on the carpet and ended up getting it in her eyes. I went down stairs to do laundry and came back up 10 minutes later and her eyes were swelled shut! The vet told me to try rinsing them out and to give her Benadryl. Just an fyi ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m a Pawalla Deluxe box subscriber and have been very pleased so far (only 2 or 3 months into a year subscription). I had been a Barkbox subscriber previously but became a bit disenchanted with the cost of the box vs. the fact that the non-toy items were all sample sized. I suppose sample size is good in case your pet or you don’t like the product but I guess I have a thing for liking full-sized products. Pawalla is a bit more expensive but everything is full-sized so that’s a plus in my book.
