Each box comes with very detailed sheets on how to make each project, in addition to background knowledge on the materials you will be working with. My favorite project so far has been the infused olive oil from the April GREENBOX, so I was thrilled to see this month's project is Blueberry Infused Balsamic Vinegar! (Perfect timing for summer salad season!)
This box also included instructions for making all natural cleaners. I've been in the process of removing all cleaners from my house that have unsafe toxins and replacing them with Honest Company products. The Honest Company doesn't have a drain cleaner/unclogger product, so I was very happy to see a project for "the BEST drain cleaner/unclogger" that just uses distilled vinegar and Sodium Bicarbonate. One of the best perks of subscription boxes for me has been discovering healthier products. Homegrown Collective has been a big part of that!
I love that each box also includes a fact sheet. I've learned a lot of interesting things about beeswax, mushrooms, oils, and now vinegar thanks to the Homegrown Collective!
I love that the Homegrown Collective uses organic ingredients whenever possible! These dried orange peels smell amazing - and all you need are the orange peels and vinegar to create a citrus blend all purpose cleanser. (FYI - the Homegrown Collective cautions that this cleanser works on everything from wood floors to tile, with the exception of granite and marble. Since vinegar is acidic it can mar the finish of porous stone).
Each month Homegrown Collective includes all the glassware you need for every project. Thanks to them I'm building an impressive mason jar collection!
I've also always had more supplies than I needed for every Homegrown Collective project - and this box is no exception, there are 16 oz each of the distilled vinegar and the balsamic vinegar!
Verdict: This GREENBOX is a hit for me! I am all about all-natural cleaning products, and I love that these cleanser projects involve at most 3 wholesome ingredients. I also can't wait to make the blueberry infused balsamic vinegar! What do you think of the June Homegrown Ciollective GREENBOX?
