One of my recent favorites was a box where you go to make your own infused olive oil!  Homegrown Collective kindly sent me this box to review.

When I opened the box I was THRILLED to see that this month's theme is "The Beauty of Coconut." I don't eat dairy, so I have developed a major love for coconut everything to fill the void! Coconut milk, coconut water, coconut yogurt, coconut flakes - I love it all!  Plus coconut is good for you!

This box has all the ingredients you need to make: homemade coconut milk, coconut orange scrub, coconut oil lotion bar, and citrus coconut lip balm.

Pictured here is the coconut oil needed for the lotion bar, scrub and lip balm. (Also the mold for the lotion bar and a container for the lip balm I'll be making!)

I love that the Homegrown Collective only includes the purest and most natural ingredients in all their boxes! I've become more and more aware of what ingredients are in the products I'm using thanks to the Honest Company, and I love that with the Homegrown Collective I can make amazing beauty products with just a few simple ingredients.

Pictured here are the beeswax and cocoa butter needed for the lip balm and coconut lotion bars, in addition to another lip balm tin!

This Citrus Essential Oil is used in the lip balm, lotion bar and Coconut Orange Sugar Scrub. I cannot wait to make the Coconut Orange Sugar Scrub (that's what the mason jar is for). I officially declare it will be my weekend project! This citrus essential oil smells amazing!

Organic Shredded Coconut  and Organic Granulated Sugar

I love that they include organic ingredients in this box whenever possible! The shredded coconut is for the Homemade Coconut Milk project. I drink coconut milk everyday with my coffee, but I never thought about making it before. Turns out, all you need is water and coconut flakes plus cheesecloth to make your own coconut milk. I love how short that ingredient list would be - I'll definitely have to try it!

This box also comes with detailed instructions on how to make each project along with some fun facts about coconut!

Verdict: I am loving this months GREENBOX! I will make every project in the box, and thanks to the Homegrown Collective I'm also building out an impressive mason jar collection! Do you subscribe to the GREENBOX from Homegrown Collective? Have you tried any of the coconut projects yet?

I really enjoyed making the projects this weekend. Maybe it was just my box but the lip balm recipe made twice as much as the tins could hold (although I happened to own the tins for my spice cabinet and had extras I could use). The sugar scrub feels AMAZING to use. We haven’t made the coconut milk yet, but it was a great way to spend some time with my significant other. 😀

I’ve only ever made scrubs with olive oil. I’ll have to try making them with coconut oil now! Thanks!

I LOVE the Homegrown Collective also 🙂 I made the lotion bars and the lipbalm and have yet to make the body scrub as well. I love essential oils so I added some more to the body lotion bars and use them daily. Great stuff, can’t wait to see the next one!
