I-ELLA The List Subscription Review - Soho Bag

I-ELLA The List is a clothing and stylist subscription service. They offer 3 different subscription options: Starter Bag ($59 a month), Soho Bag ($129 a month), and the St. Barth's Bag ($389 a month). Each subscription requires a 3-month minimum sign-up commitment).

I-ELLA kindly send me the October Soho Box to review. (FYI - the October box is sold out, but you can still sign up for the November box if interested). Here are a few more details I-ELLA provided me about the Holiday Party November boxes:

We're sending our girls lovely pieces perfect for a Holiday Party - think tulle, lace, brocade, metallic and more.
5% of the proceeds from the November "Holiday Party" Gift Bag will go to one of our members who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  (I-ELLA has already identified the member and full details will be released once the November bags have shipped).

Miss Jessie's Super Sweetback Treatment and Super Slip Sudsy Shampoo Samples - Value $2

S.W. Basics oF Brooklyn Cream - 1 oz Value $12

I love S.W. Basics of Brooklyn products (I use their lip balms a lot!). This cream is made with only three natural ingredients: fair trade shea butter, organic coconut oil and organic olive oil.

Caroline Gardner Note Books - Value $12 total

Lauren Merkin June Washed Leopard Clutch - Value $275

I love the muted colors of this leopard print - I have nothing like it in my closet!

(An interior pic).

Verdict: This box has a value of over $300! I think that's a great deal for the value of the items, even if I could find this clutch on sale. (I can't find the exact clutch print pictured anywhere online). Everything included in this month's Soho Bag is a high quality item in my opinion, and the big-ticket item is a wonderful splurge.

And I love that they are donating 5% of the proceeds of the November box to a member recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

What do you think of this Soho Bag from I-ELLA?

Wow, I was about to sign up for this until I read the comments. I think I will stay clear of I-Ella.

did you get your box? i got my box today…. i got a long sleeve teal colored silk blouse… not season appropriate and doesn’t fit, a jeweled necklace in the shape of flowers, which i actually like surprisingly, a lip balm, and a bar of soap… the website states you can exchange items but i dont think i even want to risk working with them again.

Hi Ashley, I’ll do a review of the box tonight on my blog. I received a Cream colored top from Walter Baker $118 value found on his website for $69. A Karen Kane dress for $128 also found marked down and some hand cream for $8.00 says it’s a $254 value but I get a $146 value. Still more than I paid for at $129 but for as long as I had to wait, I won’t be ordering again. Thank you for the response though Ella.

Oh both pieces are up for swap already.

ashley

i did too. coincidence? i think not…

She had set up Facebook so you can’t comment on the I-ella page on new or old comments.
I sent another email & mention fraud & theft

Or let ELC and MAC know they have a con artist on their payroll.

Or at her new scam, oh I mean business.

She created another company Harper’s Inbox.

I ordered my MAAY Soho bag in April, received a couple emails at the end of May that my JUNE bag would be shipped the next week. It’s now JULY and I have not received anything. Comments are removed from the i-Ella Facebook page. Emails are NOT answered. It’s past the 45 days to get my money back from them via a PayPal complaint. I think that was the plan. I think the company/business has gone under and Ella just doesn’t want to admit it to her customers. As a law enforcement officer I’m absolutely livid that I wasted $140 on this. This was supposed to be my birthday treat
Thanks for NOTHING – NOT HAPPY at all – IF THEY come back in September – do NOT BUY.

Buyer’s beware, I-Ella is the same company as Harper’s Inbox. Can we say #fyrefestival – Ella Gorgla aka #conartist uses influencers to promote and scam people out of their hard earned money. It’s crazy to know that she started another company. https://www.harpersinbox.com/

worst sub box ever!! horrible customer service!! i ordered the box in may and was charged. but never received the may box then one of the few emails i have gotten back stated i would get the lune box and it is now july 3rd and i have yet receive anything from them!!

Kristin

I agree Ashley, it’s horrible, I feel like it was delayed long enough to get our money and not have a way to fight for it via paypal.

I hope someone can help, I got on the list for the Soho, I’ve paid, I tried going on the site but it says I’m not registered – I know I filled out the style profile (with Maxi’s as my must as well) but I’m so lost on this one – I really am computer literate but so embarrassed by this.

I want to know if I can upgrade for the next month as it will be my birthday present to ME!

It’s Nov. 19th and I have yet to receive my OCTOBER bag. I asked them last week for a shipment confirmation number. Although promised, I was never provided that either. Glad you enjoy yours. I hope to get mine….one day.

Ashley

Melissa, Did you ever receive your bag?

Melissa

Eventually…….after a LONG time. The bag was great….but after the nightmare process…ill never purchase from her again. She shoots herself in the foot with horrible service. I asked her to take my name off the list.

Melissa

EVENTUALLY…….it came in. It was way late….I forget exactly how late. I told her to remove me off the list. They are way more concerned with getting your money than they are getting the bags actually to you. After I complained on enough forums, she offered me a discount on their holiday bag. See…more money with no bag.

CEO

Hi Melissa,

Our apologies for the delay. The List has been growing quite rapidly. You will have your gift bag within 3 business days. The girls and I are very certain you will squeal with delight 🙂

I love the list from i-ella. I received a fantastic pair of vegan leather pants in my box! Perfect for fall.

The value is really nice! I’ve been putting off on these personal stylist type subscriptions because I am notoriously hard to shop for when it comes to clothing. So far, I haven’t seen a service that carries what I like. Maybe I’m not meant to try stylist subs. /shrug/

Jennifer @ Mom's Got Mail

I received an e-mail about the Holiday i-ella list. I was glad to be invited, but I can’t justify the $250 commitment with the holidays around the corner. The holidays are about getting something for my daughters-and they have their eyes set on American girl dolls and accessories. I like the s.w. basics brand a lot too!
