Fancy Box Review - October 2013

I've been subscribing to the original Fancy subscription box since the very first box - every month they send you a fun mix of well-designed items (some more practical than others). You can specify your gender and size and get more customized boxes. (I'm not sure how much your category preferences go into box selection though).

Fancy Box Review - October 2013

The Subscription Box: Fancy Box

The Cost: $39 plus shipping (my shipping cost is $7.95)

The Products: $80+ worth of stylish products selected by Coco Rocha!

Ships to: US and Canada (additional fees for Canada)

Fancy Box Review - October 2013

Each box comes with cards detailing each item in your box. This month included a card about a photo contest on Instagram.

Midnight Clutch by Emilie M - Value $50

This clutch is my favorite item in the box this month. It's a great basic-black clutch and shoulder bag, and the stitching detail and diagonal cut also keep it interesting - I'm sure I will use this bag a lot!

Cake Lighter - Value $50

This lighter even comes with it's own leather embossed case! This isn't for me, but it's a great quality item and will definitely make a great gift.

Miniature People - Value $15

I received these mini peeps in the September Verbal Fancy Box as well. Right now Fancy is having an Instagram contest. Take a photo of your tiny people and tag it with #fancybox and you could win up to a $250 gift card to Fancy. They are also publishing the best pictures in a flipbook that will be including in the December box!

FYI - If you have multiple Fancy subscriptions and receive a duplicate item, email Fancy customer service and they will issue a credit to your account!

Prepara Chef's Basting Set - Value $20

Fancy has included different Prepara items in past boxes and I really like this brand - all their items are BPA-free and dishwasher safe! This basting set is a perfect addition to box with Thanksgiving coming up!

Verdict: I really like the October Fancy Box! I'll use everything with the exception of the lighter - but it will make a great gift! What did you get in your October Fancy Box?

I got the purse and basting set. My other two items were an orange zest peeler and 3-d dinosaur cookie cutters. Very happy with this month’s items.

Of course, as soon as I cancel the Fancy box, they send out the best one! Such a disappointment!
