POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box Review Enjoy

I mentioned it in the review of the POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box for Him Review, but I'll say it again - the packaging on these boxes is fantastic! It definitely feels like you're unwrapping a high-end gift!

POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box Review Packaging

(I sometimes take too many unboxing photos when I'm so impressed with packaging!)

POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box Review Scarf

Cuyana Elizabeth Infinity Scarf - Value $65

I love circle scarves, and I don't have any scarves in a cream color, so this is kind of perfect for me. (Of course now I'm worried I'll get makeup on it!)

POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box Review Rocks

Erickson Beamon Rocks Blondie Stone Bracelet - Value $98?

I couldn't find this exact item online, but did find a similar hinge bracelet I'm basing the value off of.

POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box Review Cuff

This bracelet is so sparkly and festive! Normally I prefer gold jewelry, but I'm thinking about keeping this one.

POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box Review Pretzels

Fatty Sundays Peppermint Crunch Dark Chocolate Covered Pretzels - Value $7

While I didn't get to sample these, I have confirmation that they are totally delicious!

POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box Review Eye Lashes

Winks by Georgie False Lash Compact in No.1  - Value $28

This is definitely the fanciest fake eyelash kit I've ever seen! A better look at the lashes:

POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box Review Eye Lashes

I like that these lashes and glue are made with natural ingredients, so if there was ever a time for me to finally try false lashes - this is it!

POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box Review Silver Planner

Graphic Image 2014 Datebook in Silver - Value $70

Wow - I didn't realize datebooks could be so pricey!

POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box Review Calendar

I like the idea of keeping a physical datebook, but in reality I know I will never use it! (This goes in the gift pile!)

POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box Review Cheese Set

Lunares Cheese Paddle with Knife in Pearl - Value $69

I feel like the subscription box world is taunting me with cheese trays and knives lately! (I don't eat dairy). This is a very nice set though, and it will make a great gift.

POPSUGAR Must Have Special Edition Holiday Box Review Lotion

Tokyomilk By Margot Elena Body Souffle No. 18 - Value $40

This is a totally new brand to me, and I love the packaging - very luxurious! The scent is very indulgent too - I think I love it, but I'm not sure yet!

Verdict: I paid $100 for this box and I received over $350 worth of items. I think all the items are very high-quality and fit into the category of things I probably wouldn't splurge on for myself, but enjoy getting at a discount in a box like this!

What did you think of the Special Edition Holiday Box? (And what was your favorite item?)

I would have loved to have gotten this box. My favs or the date book in silver. In fact, I googled it as soon as I saw someone post it to see. I was surprised it cost so much. I love journals and date books that are pretty and nice quality.

My other fav is the cheese board. I don’t know why. I really don’t do cheese for myself, but it is so pretty and one should always have such a thing in the home. haha

I have been stalking FedEx waiting for this box! It shipped Dec. 5 and I got it Dec. 17. Ridiculous shipping time, but worth the wait! I felt like I was having my own private Christmas when I opened it after work last night! I was actually very concerned about the contents as I also purchased the PopSugar/Neiman Marcus box last month and was sorely disappointed. This box totally made up for the NM box.

First, the scarf, I’ve been wanting an infinity scarf since I first saw one way back when…now I finally have one! I received the white color and I really like it! I will get so much use out of this (it will last a long time considering that I live in Houston and will use it maybe 10 times a year). I voted for this item as my favorite, though it was so close between this, the cheese platter and the lotion! I received the cheese platter in red. I absolutely LOVE this. I’m moving into a new home on Jan. 1st and I feel like I just received a wonderful housewarming gift! As an artist, I love that it’s truly a use-able work of art. Even if it’s only used for special occasions, it will be used plenty and treasured always. The Tokyomilk lotion is fantastic! The scent (I received 21) is intoxicating. And now that I’m done stalking FedEx, I’m going to start stalking their website–can’t wait to see what else this brand has!

Contrary to popular opinion (apparently), I LOVE the date book. I’ve always used a datebook and I know the brand-name books can be very pricey. I contemplated purchasing one for 2014, thinking I might try to go to a more modern platform, but I knew I’d come around to wanting one and now, not only do I not have to buy one, I have a nicer one than I’d ever buy for myself! Thank you, PopSugar!

I had just opened my December Birchbox before opening the PopSugar box and I had a sample size of the pretzels–the sample was coconut, which I don’t care for. I read on the wrapper that they also come in toffee and peppermint, both of which I love, and was disappointed I hadn’t received one of those instead. So I was THRILLED when I opened the PopSugar box and right on top was a 5 pack of the Peppermint pretzels. It was a little cosmic.

What else… oh, I have absolutely no use for the eyelashes. I’m not sure what I’ll do with them, but I’m sure I can find someone who will love them. And as for the bracelet, it is lovely, and I admire the craftsmanship, but I am not so much a jewelry person. However, I have a friend in mine who is going to love her next birthday present.

So, even though there were two items in this box which I will not use, it doesn’t matter because they will make fantastic gifts! Plus, everything else is so incredibly wonderful, I would have been fine just receiving those 5 items! Thank you, PopSugar! You’ve restored my faith since the NM box! And a very Merry Christmas to me!

I had to pick other because I couldn’t choose! Love the scarf, the lotion, the date book, the bangle. I even really liked the cheese tray. I’ve never tried false eyelashes, so now I can 🙂 The snacks went to hubby, very quickly so I wouldn’t be tempted, because they look divine. Great box. Glad I gifted it to my sister and sister-in-law because it was an amazing deal.

Ok, maybe my “Other” didn’t take. Anyway, I picked the date book ultimately since it is so gorgeous and will help keep me organized in 2014.

I’ve been dying for Liz to review this box! I looked all over and couldn’t find the bracelet either but saw the designer’s other work and I don’t think $50 is out of line for all the bling! I’m not a bling person and my wrists are very small but I think I will keep this!

I received the white scarf. I do love the color however I am a little disappointed that the ends are not finished. It looks like someone cut strips and sewed them together, which I’m sure that is exactly what they did. Maybe this is a high end look that i’m unaware of. The material is ever so slightly flawed in a couple of places. I will definitely use this.

I received Tokyo Dark Milk 26 and love it. The container is very heavy and beautiful. I had so much trouble taking the lid off I had to call the company to find out you twist it. It’s very tight and can’t close it all the way up but almost, enough that I’m confident no air is getting in. Because of this I would be afraid to purchase another as a gift. Did anyone else have this problem or was mine a fluke?

I was very disappointed in the datebook. Although it is nice (I got silver) I usually get these thrown at me by vendors. Maybe I’ll gift it because I don’t really use these. If I gift it there will be no way the recipient will even guess the value….$70? I don’t know why it’s so high and that’s a big chunk of the value of the box.

I got the white cheeseboard and love it. I think I will keep it. The company was on Oprah’s favorite things this year for their candle holders with circles at the top. I think they were the stick candles.

hmm ok what else, loved the pretzels but have no use for the eye lashes. However, they came in a very nice compact.

This things in this special edition box have are just enough that it will be hard to pass up another.

I also received by Holiday box as well. The scarf I got was a fawn brown, which I like better since it fits my wardrobe better than black or white. It’s also amazing warm and I wore it on a pretty cold day to work. The cheese platter I received was red, and it’s a lovely piece that fits my crimson red kitchen. The Tokyomilk body souffle was the most impressive to me. That packaging is not at all what I expected. It’s heavy, the lacquer black is beautiful, and definitely stands out in my bathroom (which is awesome). I also got the same scent as Liz and I love it! Tokyomilk is a company I’m going to have to look more into! Overall, a lovely set for myself that I am currently enjoying.

Loved my box, got the black scarf which was perfect . Already traded the planner and falsies for some items from previous PSMH boxes so I am happy!

I loved this box. I like the scarf, the lotion (I got #21, Yesterday, that smells like gardenias), the bracelet, andthe falsies. I wanted to keep the cheese board, but it will make a better gift for a family member (along with the champagne flutes from the December box and the canvas wine tote from a few months ago). I also plan to gift the planner. This was definitely my favorite box!

My thoughts on this box!:

Scarf in off-white color: nice and warm, wearable, but I prefer thicker, textured knit scarves
Stone bangle: so lovely, fits my style, could be a nice touch to a simple outfit or worn to a formal event
Cheese paddle and knife in navy blue: umm, wasn’t really happy this was in the box at first, but I do have a potluck with the girls coming up and I saw a suggestion in the comments that it could make a nice appetizer plate so I’m happy
Body Souffle in Wisdom: WOW, weighs a ton and feels fancy, fell in love with the light alluring fragrance, this item made this box a winner for me.
Planner: who needs a planner these days? everything is either stored electronically in a phone calendar/reminder apps or in my head, I’m sad that I have no use for this item.
Lash and glue set: ehh, I could get any decent set at a drugstore, no need for a fancy set, nothing special here
Peppermint Dark Chocolate Pretzels: tasty but too much on the minty side.

The bracelet and lotion were my favorites =) Overall, much better than their monthly PSMH box.

Re: makeup on cream scarf – Do you have a Miss Oops Rescue Sponge?

http://missoops.com/fashion-oops/rescue-sponge-deodorant-removing-sponge-single

You can find them just about everywhere (including some Targets) – and they go on sale super-cheap on Hautelook and Zulily every couple of months. I couldn’t live without ’em – I have one in my makeup drawer, one in my purse, one in my camera bag, and one in the glove compartment. My MIL tried it once and went home and bought it immediately. They are AMAZING. I don’t know how they put that much magic in one little sponge…but they do! And best of all, since it’s a dry sponge you don’t have the small wet circle left after using a stain-remover pen.

Thanks so much – I’m going to buy one asap!!

Thank you for sharing this. I received the same scarf, and was worried about makeup as well.

I received this box two weeks ago. I got the same color in the scarf. I love the cheese plate and the bracelet is sooo pretty. This is my favorite box this month! I love the high end items POPSugar picks out. I think my favorite is the scarf because I know I will use it a lot. The cheese plate is a close second, followed by Tokyo Milk.
