Mama's Got Mail - February

Mama’s Got Mail is a unique subscription box for moms that reminds you to take some time for yourself each month. In addition to the items included in the box, each mailing also includes a monthly Personal Self Check In sheet to use to do some reflecting!

Mama’s Got Mail kindly sent me this box to review.

There’s also a self check-in quiz with every box.

Mama's Got Mail Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Pioneer Woman

The Pioneer Woman - Retail Value $25.99

This is definitely appropriate for a romance box, and this book gets great reviews.

I finished Gone Girl from the January Mama's Got Mail box in a weekend, so now I will trust any book Shannon sends!

Mama's Got Mail Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 What I love

What I Love About You - Retail Value $14

This book is a fill-in-the-blank book. Shannon encourages you to first read Ree Drumond's love story, then to write your own!

Mama's Got Mail Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Items Chocolate

Bouchard Belgian Chocolate - Value $20?

This box arrived before Valentine's Day, and these made a great gift!

Verdict: I really hope Mama's Got Mail continues to send books every month! (I basically need someone to put a book in my hand before I take a break and spend some time reading). I also thought the value of the box was good this month. Sometimes it's a little lower, so if you're planning to sign up and can afford to do a 6-month or 12-month subscription upfront, I think that's definitely the way to get the best value.

What do you think of the February Mama's Got Mail Box?

Thanks for the write-up. I’ve heard of this box before and it looks intriguing. I like the introspection aspect of this box. I am a new mom and it does get hard to fit “me” time into my days.

This was my first box. While I think the curation is well thought out, I was disappointed. I follow Ree Drummond’s blog for recipes, so I feel like the book repeats what she shares everyday. So nothing new for me. I do love her blog. I am passing her book and the other what I love about you on to goodwill. I wanted a box for me. I don’t want to explain to my husband what I love about him. We actually talk everyday so I think he has a clear idea. I will give it another month or so.

Donna,

If you want to swap them or sell them I’d be interested in buying them from you.

I agree! It’s such a good book, so swoon worthy! I read in two days, stayed up until 2am. Could not put it down. 🙂
