People VIP Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Box

If you're new to the People VIP subscription, it works like this: for $204.66 a year, you get a 1 year subscription to People, a 6 month subscription to gift, and 3 VIP Gift Boxes delivered throughout the year filled with items selected by People editors.

It seemed like a great value, so I had to sign up!

People VIP Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Card

Each box comes with a fold out card (just like POPSUGAR's) that details all the items included for that month.

People VIP Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Makeup Bags

Chevron Beauty Bag Set

I definitely don't need any more makeup bags, but this travel set is really cute, and it will be nice to have coordinated bags!

People VIP Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Bracelet

Delicate Spring Bracelet

FYI - a lot of the items included in this box are non-branded, so I can't find values on them, and this is one of those pieces.

People VIP Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Zoya

Zoya Nail Polish in Rue - Value $9

Professional Hair Detangler

This might be my favorite nail polish color ever - it's a perfect neutral for me! (And I just love Zoya!)

People VIP Subscription Box Review - March 2014 Hungry Girl

Hungrey Girl Chew The Right Thing Recipe Cards - Value $15

I'll never complain about a recipe book in a subscription book, and the Hungry Girl book brand is new to me, so I'm excited to check it out!

Verdict: I thought this was a nice mix of items, but I hope People starts including more branded items in the future - if only to make it easy for me to find values of items! I think this is a fun subscription since I enjoy getting People magazine each week, and I also got to gift a 6-month subscription to my sister in law!

What do you think of the People VIP subscription?

I don’t have this box but familiar with Hungry Girl. I made those onion rings and they were inedible IMO. Just nothing special in the box to make me want it. I have many make up bags too.

I’m a little disappointed. I received a new box in the mail on Friday (I’m guessing the first one for this renewal) and it was the same box I got the last time. I’m unsure if the boxes are the same now.

Here is is June 2014 and I’m still waiting on this box to arrive. I haven’t received a box since December 2013 – People Customer Service just keeps telling me they are having production problems and it will ship soon. I’m about ready to cancel my subscription…why pay them extra for something I’m not receiving?!

I must tell you that the detangler thing is AMAZING! I threw out the pamphlet that came with the box. Does it say anything about it? I’d love to buy them for my daughters and nieces!!

looks to me like popsugar is actually running this box as a branded box for people. pleasant surprise since they do such a great job with their own box. BUT I’M STILL WAITING FOR POPSUGAR BABY!

I love my Hungry Girl To The Max cookbook, the little cards look like they would be convenient to have. Love her lightened up recipes, hope you make something you can enjoy!

This box seems nice. I like the hair detangler, I lost my other one, plus its pink, a plus. the nail polish is a simple color. The book, oooo, I want.

Yeah – I hope I get my box soon too! I love the Chevron bags, even though I don’t have any need for more bags either! I love this subscription and my mom (who I gifted the 6 month sub) does also.

Hey Liz, you have the Hungry Girl Recipe Cards listed as $50 value but the link you have to Amazon shows they are only $15. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

That’s supposed to be a good book. Pioneer Woman has featured it before.
