JewelMint Mystery Box Review – Oia Jules

My box was very similar to your Liz. I received the same necklace except mine has a green stone. My chunky bracelet is like yours, but is silver with a pink stone. Instead of another bracelet, I received another necklace with a heart.

The irony of this box is that I received what I wanted, but didn’t like it so much. I normally never get the pieces I would like to receive.

I’m not a huge fan of OJ jewelry, not really my style. But I always purchase the mystery boxes, no matter who the designer. So, after purchasing this box I was looking through the OJ pieces and didn’t see much I really liked alot except the pink heart necklace, I thought that was really cute. I got my box and actually got that necklace, only to find that in person it’s not as cute.

I gotta say this is my most disappointing JM mystery box. I’m not very picky or difficult to please. If I don’t care for what I get, my daughters may like it or I gift it, if I know someone whom would like it. If none of that applies, it goes in my toddlers dress up stash. So it’s always fine with me either way and I usually feel as though I got my money’s worth at any rate.
But this box felt very cheap. While the stones are ok, the metal finishes look very cheesy. Not JMs usual quality at all.

Let me preface this with – I am not a complainer, I swear it ! Not going to lie – I’m deeply jealous of your mystery box! I signed up for this because I really liked what Oia Jules has to offer. Aside from my bracelet – which was similar to yours – the rest looked absolutely NOTHING like what I expected, didn’t even resemble anything I’d remote have thought came from this line. The necklace looked like bad prom jewelery, and I got a pair of earrings that again, had no “Oia Jules” signature to them. I was desperately disappointed. I love my bracelet though – and I adore everything you got! Your box gives me faith in the JewelMint mystery box – but I don’t think I’ll be doing it again for fear of not actually receiving the jewelery line I signed up for… I will just live vicariously through your mystery boxes 😉

Great mystery box. But I LOVE that green/silver bracelet. If only I could think of something to swap you for it 🙂
