This month's theme is Campfire Cookout.
Each box comes with a fold out card detailing each of the producers behind the food included and where they come from.
Just Cook Herbed Coffee Rub - Value $8.50
Vermont Smoke and Cure Summer Sausage - Value $7
This coffee rub is delicious - but a word of caution if you are sensitive to caffeine like I am: do not use it for late dinners! (Both my husband and I were awake at 3 am the other night wondering why we couldn't sleep when it dawned on us that we had eaten caffeinated burgers!)
Broadbent's Hickory Smoked Country Bacon - Value $7.50
Bourbon Nib Brittle - Value $13
We've received bacon from Mantry before and it's always amazing, so I'm excited to try this batch!
Soberdough Brew Bread - Value $8
La Fundidora Fuego Salsa - Value $9
I should have been surprised based on the name - but this salsa is spicy! A little goes a LONG way for me!
Verdict: This month's box has a value of about $53. I think I say this in all my Mantry reviews - but this is definitely not a box for a great retail-value. It is however I think a great curated box, and a really well-packaged way to discover new brands across the country. And of course I think it makes a great gift - both the food and the presentation are fantastic.
