Sample Society is a monthly beauty subscription from BeautyBar.com and Allure Magazine. Typically the brands they include are high end, and the sample sizes are generous.
They recently had a bit of a revamp - they now have new packaging, and so far it seems like they are more makeup oriented now.
The Subscription Box: Sample Society
The Cost: $15 a month
The Products: Deluxe and full-size beauty and makeup samples. (Each month you also get a $10 off $50 to use on any order from BeautyBar.com)
Ships to: the US

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Peony - 5 ml Value $8.40
Ciate Mini in Cha Cha Cha - Value $6
I really like this Too Faced Melted Lipstick - from the tube it looks like a lipgloss, but it's a full-coverage matte lip color. The peony color is a little bright for me, but I think I will buy the full size version in a more neutral lip color since I really like the formula.
This Ciate Mini is so cute and so BRIGHT NEON! I'm not sure if I can pull it off, but I think it could be a fun color for a pedicure.
Kate Somerville Dilo Oil - 3 ml Value $6.50
Jane Iredale Longest Lash Thickening and Lengthening Mascara in Black Ice - 3 g Value $8.25
This Kate Somerville oil gets great reviews, and you only need 1-2 drops per application, so I think this little vial should last me at least a week! I've sampled this Jane Iredale mascara before, and it's pretty good. I would describe it as an every day mascara - not a major impact look mascara. It's lengthening but not very thickening.
Oribe Surfcomber Tousled Texture Mousse - Purse Size (2.5 oz) Value $21.50
After seeing the spoilers, this was the product I was most excited to try. (I love Oribe dry shampoo sprays). I tried it out on my air-dried somewhat curly hair, and it gave me a little more volume, and lots of texture. I think I'll get the best results when I tried it on loose-wave styled hair to help get a more natural look. (And it has the signature Oribe scent that I love!)
Verdict: So far I've loved both of my Allure Sample Society boxes under the new direction! I paid $15 for this box and received about $50 worth of products. Even though nothing was full sized, I think the sample sizes were generous, and I really like all the new products I've tried so far.
