I just received the November Yogi Surprise box and no mala beads?! The mala beads were the main reason I decided to try the box. It seems like this company is all about the bait and switch? Two months in a row they advertised items that did not show up in the actual box – first the Spiritual Gangster clothes and now the mala beads. I am definitely canceling.

I read a review on the November box and there was to be a card included explaining the reason the beads were delayed. It sounds like the card did not make it into all the boxes because the blogger did not receive the card. I’m still going to wait on decided whether I want the box, but I think it is more that I am not into the yoga lifestyle. I use it to increase flexibility and reduce stress.

In fairness, they were not the ones who advertised the clothes it was yogi bliss. They did include an explanation. I cancelled and then subscribed again. I think they are trying to listen to their customers and this box was an improvement over the last box.

I tried to cancel. They took a couple of days to respond and tried to talk me out of it. I responded immediately and said no really – cancel. They took another couple of days and said OK, but it looks like you are entitled to another box. Apparently I was billed again. Not cool.

We were billed around the 7th or 10th of October.. If you cancelled after that, you should get the November box. I cancelled, but now am looking forward to getting the November box and may re-subscribe at some point

This box and buddhi box look awesome. Just don’t subscribe to Yogi Bliss box. My sister did, and it was horrible. They said they were including Spiritual Gangster clothing in this months box, but all she got for $58 was junk and pillow spray. When she emailed them, they basically said they were keeping the clothes for themselves. Even Spiritual Gangster said they were looking into partnering with the box “in the future”, so it was basically a scam to get people to buy their box. I’ve been subscribing to boxes for years, and I’ve never heard of a box deceiving customers so blatantly. There should be a website to alert people to scammers.

I’m a fitness VS traditional yogi so excuse my ignorant question: what the heck are the beads used for? They look neat but do you wear them, use them in your yoga practice, decorate with them…?

When yogi surprises website started they had a bunch of pictures of potential items in the box. There was quite a few pics of jewelry. I think this is just yogi lifestyle jewelry. It looks like a Natural tigers eye bracelet. I’m not sure if tigers eye has an affiliation with the chakras but its beautiful and a natural stone. So I think that is the connection. Anyways I LOVE tigers eye so I’m trilled with this!

On closer inspection I think it looks like a necklace. Also, I know some people use beads for meditation/ prayer.

HAHAHA!!! I was thinking the same thing!

After being very disappointed last month and nearly canceling, I’ve decided to give it another try. The spoilers look promising, or at least more yoga-related than many of the items in last month’s box. I also subscribed to Buddhi Box and I’m looking forward to comparing the two.

This is great! I’m glad it seems they are listening to clients about value. Liz, have you looked into BuddhiBox? They are a little cheaper then this box and look fabulos as well. Nov is their first box. They have released spoilers for the first box and even have a spoiler for dec (yoga poses cookie cutters!) I can’t wait for both!

Interesting second spoiler – This month seems like much better box to me … so far. – However I can not see myself signing up again ( after the 1st box ) unless I see it being consistently better ( 3+ or more months ).
