Blush Mystery Beauty Box is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box from Blush.com. I’ve been very impressed with this subscription in general because of the value (usually over $100), the brands (typically at least a few high-end lines), and the size of the items (everything is usually full sized or deluxe sized).
FYI – Originally this subscription sent out a lot of makeup, but lately it seems like hair products and skincare products are the most common.
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
The Subscription Box: Blush Mystery Beauty Box
The Cost: $24.95 a month (or $34.95 for a one time purchase)
The Products: Over $100 of beauty products.

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in True Teal - FULL SIZE! Value $12
Paula's Choice Shine Stopper Instant Matte Finish - FULL SIZE! Value $22
(One thing to note about this box - it didn't come with a info card, so I'm not sure how much variation there will be in makeup shades or even products).
I like Pixi makeup a lot, and while I have a lot of eyeliners, I don't think I have a deep teal shade like this one!
The Paula's Choice Shine Stopped is new to me, and I hope it works well because I like that it is fragrance and dye free. I just tried it out this morning over my moisturizer and under my powder foundation - so far it seems good as a primer.
Lip Fusion Plump + Shine Lipstick in Babydoll - 1.2 g Value $9.60
CLEAN Shower Fresh Eau de Parfum (Rollerball) - 5 ml Value $7
This Lip Fusion lipstick went on somewhat sheer - which I liked. It claims to plump your lips, but I don't really believe lip-plumping claims from lip products. It is very moisturizing, and has a little bit of a tingling cooling finish (nothing too annoying) so I think it has some minor lip-appearance effects - like any other moisturizing lip product would have.
The Clean Shower Fresh fragrance definitely has a "clean" scent to it. I am terrible at describing fragrances, so I'll steal the fragrance notes Sephora listed: Lemon, Mandarin, Orange, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley (Muguet), Orange Blossom, Sheer Woods, Musk.
NUXE Multi-Purpose Dry Oil for Face, Body, Hair - .33 oz Value $7.80
Cargo Eye Shadow in OZ - FULL SIZE! Value $16
I received this NUXE Shimmer OIl as a Birchbox sample a year or two ago and loved it for the summer - it adds just the right amount of shimmer to your skin and I love using it on my legs. (In the bottle it looks pretty sparkly, but applied it just looks like an all-over shimmer/glow).
I was happy to see a full-sized pressed powder eyeshadow in the box, but unfortunately for me this yellow-gold is not a flattering shade. (I love metallics for eyeshadows, but prefer cooler colors).
Klorane Shampoo with Desert Date - FULL SIZE! Value $15
Eau Thermal Avene Cleanance Gel - FULL SIZE! Value $20
I like this shampoo, but we received the exact same shampoo in the October Blush Mystery Beauty Box, so getting an identical repeat two months apart seems a little weird to me..
I haven't tried the Avene cleanser yet, but it is supposed to be a great soap-free cleanser for sensitive skin.
Keranique Scalp Stimulating Shampoo - 1 oz Value $3.75
Ahava Deadsea Water Mineral Body Lotion - 1.3 oz (Travel Size) Value $10
This shampoo is supposed to "promote micro-circulation to stimulate healthy follicles." I'd say this sample has two full uses in it, so hopefully that's enough to see if it actually does anything different to my hair.
I think $10 price for a 1.3 oz travel size lotion is a little inflated, but I do like Ahava lotions, so considering I paid $25 total for this bag, that is fine with me.
Verdict: This box has a value of about $123 - almost $100 over the $25 a month cost. I'm very impressed with the value, and I'm excited about quite a few of the products, but something about this month just feels off to me. Maybe it is the lack of info card, but the curation feels a little random. (The repeat shampoo didn't help either). On the plus side, I think they have a good variety of makeup, skincare, and haircare products).
