DIY Pixel Stickers Set - Value $10?

This Pixel Sticker set is pretty interesting - you can make your own designs for laptops, walls, etc. They have lots of design ideas on their site too.

Verdict: I like the idea of Hero Crate, but it definitely can be hit or miss depending on whether or not you are a fan of the hero featured for that month. In this case this month's box isn't a hit with my husband, but we're going to stick around for a few more boxes. And since we won't use anything in this box - I'm going to give it to one lucky reader! Enter the giveaway below!

The entry form is giving me issues. It keeps saying it didn’t get my entry. 🙁

This box was a huge hit with my husband, who has a huge interest in (good) video game anything. It was pretty obvious you weren’t a fan as soon as you said the rupee was a bonus item. As far as we’re concerned that made the box.

My little brother would love this :] He sees my new addiction of makeup boxes (how did I NOT know about these sooner) and tried out Nerd Block and Loot Crate. However, like you said, it truly is a hit or miss, especially with an individual’s intense interests or likes of particular characters. But not liking Link from Zelda?! Pfft. I thought I read wrong 😛

My son would love this!

The orders for the November crate were taken in October. It never hurts to check with them to see that all the crates were delivered. Things happen and one might be available. They are one time purchases.

I really think that the folks at HeroCrate are stepping up their game. They seem to be working very hard to establish contacts within the comic book and video game community and I wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t cultivating the same in other media areas. One thing I like is that they offer their hints, but don’t shove the reveal in your face. The next box is a comic book hero and is from Marvel. These they have stated openly, if one wants to narrow down the field, one can check out the other hints or not. They also are not just sticking with the core mainstream franchises that everyone knows offhand. The hero for Crate 06 is from Dark Horse Comics, a smaller population of characters than Marvel, but still too many to pinpoint it just from that announcement.

I do hope they don’t remain on nothing but Comic Books. I want a Spider Man crate a Wolverine Crate, and so on, but I also want a future Buffy Crate, a Harry Dresden crate, and a lot of others. So many heroes in so many genres and different types of media and when they start up the villain crate… Early days for them yet, and I’ve liked what I’ve seen enough to buy Crate 05 as my first and crate 06. If the continue to do well, I will likely give in and buy a 3 crate bundl.

On a side note, I want to say that I am currently doing virtual cartwheels as I just got an invoice for my Quarterly Co Toys and Collectibles box!!! Looks like I should get it before christmas, knock on wood.

I too love the idea this crate, but I have yet to see a crate that I would pay even half this amount for. It always seems to be a t-shirt, carnival-quality stuffed animal and some stickers. I’m not sure what I would really do with any of this stuff except the T.

Liz – Can you add more detail about the pricing? The single months do not renew. In other words, you need to purchased it every month since it is not a subscription that renews each month automatically. Neither does the 3 month subscription.

I bought this box for my son when we saw it on the blog with the hint. He was fairly certain it was Legend of Zelda. This is one of his favorite boxes ever. He loves the Iron Man/Legend of Zelda mesh up t-shirt. He also was happy to receive Zelda socks. Everything was a huge hit with him.

We won’t be purchasing many geeky/gamer boxes anymore because sports are expensive although I did buy a few with the Black Friday sales. My 15 year old was really happy to go out with a bang between the Legend of Zelda Hero crate and the November Dead Pool shirt in Nerd Block.

I do like this subscription because you can buy the months that interest you. I will be keeping an eye out for hints and teasers since somebody will be turning 16 in a few months. Also I hope they launch the villian crate next year. My 15 year old is a huge hero fan, but there are a few villians he likes.
