POPSUGAR Must Have Box Review – December 2014 + Giveaway!

I tried to use the “JOY” code a few days and it was working, but one of the links on the website was NOT working, and unfortunately that was the link that allows you to send different parts of your order to different addresses. So I was not able to place my order, and sent an email to customer service… no reply yet, naturally. I used to be a regular subscriber to Pop Sugar, and always enjoyed the boxes. But the LACK OF A CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE LINE is ridiculous, and inexcusable. Normally I would no longer be doing business with a company that ignores my emails and doesn’t have a phone line, but I really liked the idea of giving the $100 holiday box to my mother in law, and I really like this month’s box for myself, so I attempted to place my order again today. The links are now working, but the JOY code has expired! It did accept another promo code (MH15), but that got me only $15 off, instead of a totally free December box. I have asked customer service to refund me on the difference, since the whole reason I was not able to use the JOY code was due to their lack of a timely response. Hoping they agree with me that it’s the least they can do, as it should not be quite this time consuming and frustrating to spend money on a website, LOL.

I paid $20 for my box on Cyber Monday… but they sent me two?! I feel bad, they only charged me once. I emailed them, but still have not gotten a reply. I just didn’t want them to send me someone else’s box 🙁

I was really impressed with this month’s box! I had gotten the October box, which was my first Popsugar box, and I didn’t care for it, so I cancelled my subscription. Since I had a discount for December I decided to give it another try and I’m glad I did! The contents were great! I wasn’t sure about how I would feel about it from the preview, but when I actually got the items, I loved them. The necklace and scarf go together so well, I’m wearing them both today! And the lip color is beautiful; it was the type of color I’d been looking for, and now I know that Smashbox makes a great lip lacquer, so I will definitely be buying more in the future. I have yet to try the cupcakes, but I’m sure they’ll be delicious. The bowl is nice, although a lot smaller than I expected, so I guess I’ll just put jewelry in it.

Any news on when popsugar will start shipping to Canada?

I finally got my box yesterday, I used the black friday deal for one box. Did anyone else notice this box is smaller? Also, I like the lipcolor. I never wear boring colors, I don’t see the point, so I am glad they sent a fun, season appropriate color.

I got my box last night. Great all around, but surprisingly my favorite item is the lip stain. It’s wonderful. I tried it on last night (after I’d already washed my face) and it was still looking perfect when I woke up this morning. It’s really hard for me to find lip products that work for me, so this is exciting.

Now that there’s a $15 off code I am thinking of ordering, probably will tonight. I wish the necklace was in silver, only complaint. I don’t know if I can work with the berry color lip gloss but can work with it. I love the scarf and bowl. Looks like a fantastic box. I’ve never found a good reason to sub to psmh but this box sold me. I’m not sure if I am going to use the bowl for a candy dish or jewelry but I love it! 🙂

I’m so disappointed in this box the only thing I like is the cupcake mix.

Wow, lightening fast shipping, I just got my Dec box today and I ordered with the 6 mo deal on black friday. I really love that scarf perfect for the holidays and the necklace is really cute, much better in person I will wear it for sure. My box is an exact match as shown.

I’m really excited! I wasn’t expecting to receive this box before Christmas (and I’ll admit I wasn’t mad at the idea of keeping everything for myself if I didn’t), but I just received shipping confirmation and an expected delivery date of early next week. I think I will end up passing a few items along as presents now. Really happy, and hopefully everyone gets shipping confirmation soon!

My box arrived today. I got the same color scarf as Liz. I like, but do not love, this box. I totally thought that bowl was going to be bigger–it’s very small, but I do like it. Although the scarf is a very neutral color, that color is going to drain a lot of skin tones–including mine. No worries, I am planning to gift it. However, that necklace is another story. There is no way I’d wear that and I don’t know a soul who would either. Even at the shortest length, it is down to my navel (and I am not a midget). Not only that, I’m sorry, but I really think that large fake looking crystal is tacky. To me it really looks fake and tacky. I thought I’d be gifting the necklace but I don’t think so now.

And, does anyone but me think it’s odd that those tags have a cut out so they should be tied but there’s no ties in the package? I do like them, though. Just thought it was weird.

Oddly enough popsugar may be the only box that comes through for me this month. I hope my quarterly boxes come before I leave for Christmas, but it’s not looking good right now. With all their recent shipping problems, I held out no hope for popsugar, but it should be at my door in a few days.

Liz, did the card state the color? I see that this scarf is also made in a pinkish tone and wonder if there will be a color variation for some people. Thanks!

I am not sure what is going on with my account. I ordered a six month subscription for myself on Black Friday. Then I ordered a box for a gift with the HOLIDAY50 code. The box for the subscription has shipped (though why it is going to take from today until Thursday to go from CT to MA is beyond my comprehension!). However, the gift box has not shipped and it states next shipment is January.

I also ordered a Six month with the Blck Friday $75 off…which I received Shipping info for yesterday. However, I also purchased a few extras as gifts, which have not shipped but all say “next shipment January” I wonder if the December gift boxes will still ship if I select “cancel subscription?” Ugh…I really dont want to be charged for multiple subscriptions next month, and I did make sure GIFT was checked when I ordered, but PSMH do not like taking blame or giving refunds!! GRRRR!! Their site can be so confusing! But I love the box just hope they all ship soon!!

I definitely was not expecting to see spoilers already so this post was a nice surprise! The holidays have made me forget all about my sub boxes eeeek.

I always love jewelry and scarves, so that’s nice! It would be nicer if they’d take into account that not everyone loves gold, though 🙁 Seems like they send gold A LOT and I personally look hideous in gold and it doesn’t match my wedding set. But I like these items enough that I think I’ll make myself wear them anyway! Cupcake mix is so cute for this time of year, and the gift tags are going to get used for sure!

I love Popsugar and their boxes are great, it is definitely my favorite box to get every month!! The variation of products are great! the scarves are always a plus in the fall and winter months. The selection of lotions to candles to food items is amazing keep up the good work!!
