This shade is a cranberry red shimmer. Here is one coat swatched:

Verdict: I think this was a great holiday-red color. I received quite a few similar shades like this in subscription boxes for December, but I think this is the type of box you get if you only want one new shade each month - so no complaints!

What do you think of Color Me Monthly?

I am addicted to CMM. I had them for a few months last year, then I quit because of being overloaded with polish.. but I signed up again for 6 months when they had a coupon code around blk friday. I actually don’t think its a rip off at all. The polish is some of the best formulation that I’ve tried, and the colors are usually always spot on. The only one I haven’t liked is the yellow one from last year.
I think its totally worth it if you are into nail polish. 🙂 And I like the surprise part- its fun to get a color that you didn’t pick. lol

I always go back and forth on this sub. I do receive nail polishes in other subs, but most of the colors are boring. This sub ships different colors throughout the year. I don’t paint my nails often enough to warrant a large nail sub box.

I do like the minimalist packaging. I can’t use cardboard covered in print and colors for weed suppression in the garden because the inks leak into the soil. Give me a box from Uline with a shipping label slapped on it.

Seriously – it bothered me how much recycling I was creating when I had more subs.

I feel like their box is just their way of acknowledging that they’ve dropped the ball on packaging, but trying to make an excuse for it lol. But seriously, I’ll go spend $7-8 at Walgreens for a polish in a color I know I’ll like.

I don’t have good nails so buying a polish subscription would be a waste for me. I do like to have some though because I get pedicures every couple months. This color is beautiful and 1 bottle is just right for me.

Liz- are you going to be doing a Blush Mystery Bag review? I ordered one for the first time after seeing some amazing bags and I am really not happy with mine. Just wanted to see what other people are thinking and saying about it.

Yep – should have the review up today or tomorrow!

I think we are just spoiled by subscription boxes, getting something for next to nothing. $7 for quality nail polish is a good deal, IMO amyway

I don’t subscribe to CMM but I don’t think $7 is unreasonable. They have to pay for shipping after all! Shipping one bottle of nail polish is almost the same cost as 2 or 3 bottles/small items. A bottle of Essie is $8+ tax at Target near me.

I agree. this is a rip off plain and simple.
1 product a month for $7? really!! ?
you can go to marshal’s and get 2 for that price AND pick them out yourself!
uhuh…..All i need is another red nail polish…..NOT

Hm. I could get behind the whole “not paying for pretty packaging” concept, except that, at $7 for one product, you’re not really paying any less. For $3 more, for example, Ipsy oftentimes sends you a full size polish, just like this, PLUS other products, AND pretty packaging (the bag). Even Julep sends 3 full size products, which, although is $25, broken down, that’s $8.30 a product (plus, they tend to send a bonus, and enjoyable packaging). So, at one item, it just seems like the only ones benefitting from this savings is the company (which is fine, but don’t sell it to us like we’re going to reap the benefit).
