My Geeky Goodies Subscription Box Review – Jan 2015 Tee

House Koopa Tee - Value $20

Normally I can't find the tees in geeky boxes for sale online, but this one is from the etsy shop TeeMaki.

My Geeky Goodies Subscription Box Review – Jan 2015 Star

Nintendo Game Pack Vintage 1989 Topps Scratch Cards - Value $5

Super Mario Bros. Super Star Candy Tin - Value $5

These cards are Vintage from 1989 and were fun to open. Here is one pack opened:

(And the candy tin is filled with little yellow star candies!)

My Geeky Goodies Subscription Box Review – Jan 2015 Flask

Street Fighter LED Flashlight with Sound - Value $9

CastleVodka Flask by InkWhiskey - Value $20

This keychain lights up and makes a sound simultaneously - I'm not sure how useful it is, but I don't think it was made for practical purposes!

We already received this cartridge/flask in a Quarterly box, so we will be gifting or swapping this one. It makes a great gift! (Subscribers will receive one of many variations).

My Geeky Goodies Subscription Box Review – Jan 2015 Mini

Minecraft Blind Box Mini Figure - Value $5

This is the mini-est mini figure I've ever come across in a geek box! I think we will be swapping this one so it can get to a Minecraft fan!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $64. I'm impressed with both the value and the curation this month. While some items will end up getting swapped, I imagine this would be a popular box for most subscribers!

What do you think of the January My Geeky Goodies box?

sorry, computer problems and I accidentally sent a blank comment ….Anyways, if they are making molds of old Nintendo cartridges that would be great. I agree with the other posters about the horror of ruining old cartridges. I still have about 30 in a box with 2 systems and as far as I know they work, haven’t tried them in a few years but love to look at them!!! I love the vintage packs of cards!!

I cringe a little whenever I see someone taking an old Nintendo cartridge and making it into something else.

But I still have a bunch of those that are in working order…

They’re not real cartridges, they’re replicas. 🙂

The flask was originally a Kickstarter project and from what I read there and at their website they didn’t actually use old cartridges. Rather, they created a mold that replicated something similar to make the flasks. Although a couple of original cartridges were sacrificed in the first design phase. :0

Like you, I’d rather see the cartridges out in the wild and still getting used.

I loved my mini Minecraft figure. I got the Creeper. I’ll definitely be hunting down the rest of those little guys!
