Birchbox April 2015 Curated Box Reveal!

Did anyone who signed up for the subscription upgrade receive an email from Birchbox with the opportunity to purchase either of the Rifle Paper Company Add-On items? I know I didn’t and I definitely was considering adding on one or both of them. I just clicked the link from MSA site and they are both sold out, of course.

So far, this feels like more of a subscription downgrade than anything else. Hopefully, this is going to be one amazing box, but $20 more for just 2 full size products – I’m not sure what I was thinking! I’ve been wrong before, though, and so far I’ve gotten excellent customer service from Birchbox, so I guess I’ll just have to be patient and hope for the best.

I just went to select my sample, and this message is at the bottom of the page.
“If you’re testing out our latest subscription upgrade that includes our two full-size makeup or luxury nail add-ons, unfortunately we are unable to honor guest editor box selections; however, you are still eligible to choose a sample!”
I’m so upset! I wanted a mad men box sooo bad! =( I feel like they’re punishing me for buying more stuff from them.

I got my email! NY box!

anyone get their email yet ? its almost noon on east coast and nothing yet for me. i shared my box so i should be getting it today. i havent received the email for months and have contacted customer service all to never get my selection. last month i got an email from customer service stating that due to all my issues i would get the email early. we shall see !

I am so excited about this month! I bought an extra box so I can get a Madmen box and the regular box. I love the Rifle paper designs!

I decided to order the tote which I did yesterday when they were still available. I’m going to select the Jane Iredale item.

I think I’m going to go for : Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain ! This lips stick seems amazing ! I love the fact that it look natural ! And the ingredients seems great ! The curated boxes are not for me this month ! Well, the March curated box was so great that now I’m difficult 😉

So after having issues with their site all day, I finally am able to view the Plus options, they are all sold out! I am so pissed! Not exactly sure what the point of being an Ace is if they give the option to reserve BEFORE Aces. Although, their new presence in CA may explain part of the glitches their site seems to be having. Although I am bummed that I am going to be charged sales tax, I am hopeful that their presence in CA may result in quicker turnaround time to receive my monthly box.

Does anyone know what the Cynthia Rowley illuminator is? I can’t seem to find it on the Birchbox page, and it may help me to decide which Mad Men box to choose.

So after finally receiving my e-mail, I tried to reserve the items and it says there are “No Items Available.” >:(

How long does it usually take to receive your email to pick after you share your box on Facebook?

Okay, I’m new to the add-ons (and I already impulsively reserved the tote), but I’m not sure I get it. When it says “Value = $35,” what is it talking about when it’s being sold in the store for $28 – the same price it costs to add on??

Is the only difference that you can’t use points to buy the add-ons? I’m not sure I get the benefit to members to adding items on.

love the MM-NY. im going to try for that. hope i like the blush color. i was able to share via twitter. clicked on this months box and there was a tiny facebook and twitter box under. lets see if i get the email cuz in the past 4 months i’ve never once gotten my choice.

I want 3 items out of each of the mad men boxes. Wish I had 2 accounts but I guess I’ll have to choose one and swap for the other items I want to try right? I do tend to like the curated boxes better. When I was just picking 1 sample I kept getting eyeliner every month.

I just shared it this morning because when I first read this post last night, the box tab wasn’t there. I am an Ace but it seems like many have already reserved, so I am hoping I still get my e-mail today to get to make a selection. What is the point of being an Ace if I can’t reserve early? Did anyone else share today (the 25th) and get an e-mail?

I can’t decide! I wish I could get the Mad Men NY items in that adorable Rifle box. Oh well, I suppose that they might be out of the items I want by the time I get to pick–at least that would make the choice easier? Right?

Where do I go to reserve the Rifle add-on? I don’t see that option.

This was the push I needed to get a second subscription (this, plus the 100 extra points) – I wanted to get one of the Mad Med boxes, but I just had to have that gorgeous Riffle box as well. And I reserved the tote, even though I need another tote bag like I need a hole in the head. I rationalized that I might give it to my mother for her birthday…notice the term “might” there! :p

Random question – I’m hoping to get the NY box, which has the Whish shave cream. I also got a sample of that (and reviewed it) in March 2013. Will I be able to review it again?
