Just got my April Kloverbox. It’s lovely, as usual. The replacement product is a makeup brush cleanser. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but still nice.

I’m disappointed to hear the replacement item is a makeup brush cleanser. The toner was something everyone could use. Not everyone wears makeup. 🙁

Apparently there is also going to be a 4 oz tin candle from Bridge Nine Candle Company! The available scents are citrus, lilac, and pineapple sage. I wonder which one Kloverbox picked to go in the box.

Not the same problem but… I emailed last week about a gift subscription. She emailed back promptly saying they had March boxes left so I bought one for my sister (before the toner information). I haven’t heard anything since. Don’t know if it shipped it not. Don’t know if it has the bad toner or not.

I make lotion bars all the time. They’re really easy and I like making the scent what I like, not what someone else thinks is great!

I know I’m in the vast minority, but I don’t like lotion. It makes my skin feel clammy and unclean. I know, I’m weird. lol However, I’ve never tried a lotion bar, and I’m extremely intrigued. Even if I don’t like it, this one is beautiful and will be so pretty sitting in a basket in my bathroom!

Lotion bars are a great and easy DIY project. They are just a mixture of oils/butters & beeswax (so pretty much the same thing as a lip balm). As they don’t contain water they don’t require preservatives. You can turn a lotion bar into a solid perfume by just adding more beeswax and more essential oils.
They are also pretty cool to use, they are very emollient. But they don’t have the cooling aspect of liquid lotion, and they can leave your hands feeling greasy. I use them for the areas of my skin that get chaffed.

I bought an all natural lotion bar before and it’s the greatest thing ever, moisturizes extremely well and smells amazing. I’ve been dying to try Kloverbox.

Oh that looks interesting! I’ve never tried a lotion bar either. I am excited about the citrus theme, I’ve been on a big citrus/orange kick lately, so that will be perfect!
