nerd-block-feb-2015-

Nerd Block is a monthly subscription box for geeks and gamers. This box typically includes at least a figurine or two, and always a new exclusive shirt. Nerd Block recently introduced Arcade Block, so this box is now known as Nerd Block Classic.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process postto learn more about how we review boxes).

Titans Vinyl Figures in Saul - Value $15

Nerd Block subscribers received one of three exclusive suit variations of Saul. He comes complete with a World's Greatest Lawyer mug and a Bluetooth earpiece.

I love the packaging of the box as well:

We're already huge Breaking Bad fans and loving Better Call Saul so far, so my husband and I may be fighting over who gets to keep this!

Flashsicle Tee - Value $10

This shirt is exclusive to Nerd Block, and made with 100% cotton.

Cliccors (Set of 2) -Value $4?

These desk toys debuted in the Nerd Block Classic this month, so they aren't available for sale yet - I'm guessing on the value. They also had a contest for subscribers to create something with Cliccors - here's the winning entry.

Star Wars Comic - Value $5

This box seems to be all exclusives - this comic is an exclusive too!

Nerd Play Series 1 Cards - Value ?

This is another Nerd Block exclusive item that I'm not sure how to put a price on. Here is the complete list of card options.

Paladone Drum Desk Set - Value $7.20

My husband plays the drums so he liked this little set!

Verdict: This box has a value of approximately $47. I think the value is good, and I appreciate how many exclusive items they got in the box. Our favorite item is definitely the Saul figure!

What did you think of the February Nerd Block?

I loved this box! I live in Albuquerque and have been an extra in both Breaking Bad (several episodes) and Better Call Saul. I have my Saul on my desk! Nerd Block is always a treat – I can always swap or give away the stuff that doesn’t resonate with me.

Liz,

Have you seen the new Custom Fan box?

I’m a cosplayer, and it is so weird to see cosplayers on cards. Even I wouldn’t really have a use for them, so I doubt other “normal” people would. I’m surprised they put those cards in these boxes.

little miss boxy

I don’t cosplay and I personally liked them. I don’t know how useful they are, but with so many of these geek boxes being very corporate driven, I admire the step towards showing appreciation for cosplayers. There’s no big corporate support for that and it’s an expensive hobby so I thought Nerd Block did a good job valuing people’s talents with these.
