Wantable Intimates is one of the subscriptions from Wantable, and it is probably my favorite box they offer. Like all Wantable subscriptions, you can heavily customize what they send you by filling out your preferences – and you still get to be surprised!

Wantable kindly sent me this box to review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Wantable Intimates Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Details

Here are the order details of my box. Wantable recently added free individual item returns to their subscription plans, so you can send back any item(s) you don't want, and get the refund based on the "Your price" listing. (Returns are free for US subscribers).

Wantable Intimates Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Preferences

When you first sign up for any Wantable subscription you take a style quiz and you can get very specific about the items you want and don’t want. (This is the list of my loves, likes and dislikes from my invoice).

Wantable Intimates Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Bra

Rene Rofe Style Star Bra - Retail Value $20, My Price $12.90

(I found this bra for sale on Groupon, but this specific style isn't available anymore, so I'm not sure what price Groupon was selling it for).

This is a push-up underwire bra, and pretty comfortable.

Wantable Intimates Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Cami

Pajama Drama Cami with Lace - Retail Value $21, My Price $13.55

(65% Poly, 35% Rayon)

This is cute, but sort of looks like it is one piece of a set to me. (I was expecting to find matching shorts in the box). I guess there's nothing wrong with mix and match though.

Wantable Intimates Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Tank

Pajama Drama Grey Racerback Tank - Retail Value $21, My Price $13.55

(65% Poly, 35% Rayon)

This is my favorite piece in the box. The fabric is so slinky and soft, and it's a great layering piece for sleepwear or just as a regular top.

Verdict: This is one of the lowest retail value boxes I've received from Wantable Intimates ($62 Retail Value), and I'm guessing that's in part because of their new returns offerings. (Before it was an all or nothing return policy, now you can choose if you want to return any individual item). The upside is basically a no-risk box, keep whatever you want, but the downside is that the value is now a little lower. (This is my first box with the new returns policy, so I could be jumping the gun on assumptions about how the returns policy has impacted value).

What do you think of Wantable Intimates and the changes they've made to returns?

I got the May cosmetic box and returned the entire thing. It was a huge disappointment. I was expecting luxury products. I got a “mood lip pencil” that you put on and it changes color to match your mood. REALLY? That should be in a young getting started makeup kit. And a black kohl eyeliner. HUH? Who doesn’t have 20 of these already? Then I received some chalky off brand face setting powder that looked like someone made it in their kitchen. Hokey pokey paper label and al. And a grotesque eye shadow from a higher end line. That didn’t even deserve a second chance – Bye Bye forever.

Just got my box and I got two pajama sets and a handwritten note thanking me for my business and giving me an email to contact if I think they could have done something better???

I just received my March box, and it is beyond the worst box ever. I’ve been a subscriber for almost a year, and many months enjoyed experiencing new brands and styles. This month I received a long sleeve, dark red, velvet trimmed sleep set. Yes, it was almost 90 degrees in Texas today, and I’ve put in the comments multiple times that I prefer sleeveless because of the climate here. I could never wear this. They have the value at $40, but it’s on Amazon for $22.

I also received panty hose with some crazy pattern. They used to have a category just for hosiery, which I had on my “dislike” list. For the record, I hate hose, and I haven’t worn them in 15 years. Now they’ve combined hosiery with tights, which I do enjoy… in the winter.

This box felt like a leftover mish-mash of forgotten items. I’m really sad to say that I done with Wantables at this point. They have not listened to my feedback and they aren’t shipping seasonally appropriate items. I’ve promoted them on my blog a number of times, but now I’m almost embarrassed that I did. It’s not the first “miss”, just the worst miss.

Have you tried calling customer service? I had that happen to me and they replaced my whole box, free of charge. Sometimes they even let you keep what you have. Then you can swap the items. It’s worth a try.

That’s a good suggestion! Their customer service has always been top-notch.

I just got my second box & I was curious, I have lingerie marked as loved, doesn’t that mean I should get lingerie???? I haven’t got any in either box, did I misunderstand & it just means its more likely to be in the box. I also got a shapewear item in my 1st box & that is on my dislike list, I did like it though cause its like a slip so I can use it….& I got an awesome bra in 2nd box.

I got mine today and the value is only $60. I like the items okay, but they sent me mediums when I signed up for small. And they run a little big so I’m not sure I can wear it. I think I might return the whole thing.

I haven’t gotten my March box yet but it will be my last. I have been a subscriber of the intimates box for close to a year. I was not super pleased when they reduced the number of items per box in the fall, but I thought they overall handled it well because they told subscribers about it and gave existing subscribers the extra item for another couple of months anyway. Then they sent out an email about a change in how returns would work. I read the email, but didn’t click the link for more information. Well, I was surprised when I was charged $40 and not $36 for my box. I contacted customer support and they basically said, yes, that is the new policy and you’ll get a refund later if you keep all the items. It’s not that I mind the new policy, or even the change in price per se, but the way they handled notifying subscribers. They should have been more clear about the price change from the get-go, rather than burying the info in a link. I decided to unsubscribe as a result.

I received my box on Friday and for the first time, I was really disappointed in my box. It was the fewest amount of items I have received and the lowest value. I received a blue layering cami, a pair of socks, and shapewear, which was the highest value in the box and not much to it. I will give them one more month, but if March is any indication of how they are going to be, then I will probably end up cancelling this box, which makes me sad because it was one of my very favorites. I think Liz is right about the return policy affecting the quality. I see it in my box.

I received my first box this month. I was really disappointed with it. I will try it for another month.

I don’t get this sub, but get the Wantable makeup box and I just received mine today and I’m super disappointed in it. It says the box is valued at $80, but no way am I paying $20/each for lip gloss, a brow pencil or individual eye shadow. First month I’ve been super disappointed.

Here’s what I do, and it’s been working great for me! I’ll check out what other people have received, and note my favorites. Then in the comment section, I will ask for those specific items. They’ve sent them to me every time but one time, when they were out of stock.

Also, you’ll only receive a comment from your stylist if you write a comment to them. Hope these tips work for y’all!

I’ve tried that and out of the 11 times it has worked 1 time. Most the time I get a box of stuff i dont want saying they are out of stock on the items I want, and to change my settings next time. Did that still does not work. I’ve changed my profile 11 ! times. – Glad it has worked for you and others, for me, I’ve canceled both accessories and intimates and wont sub again for a while.

I was ready to sign up and everything… until i realized that they don’t even carry my bra size … 32ddd/e 🙁 i guess not surprising since it’s an odd size, but still disappointing.

Last month was my first box and I was very happy with it. On my profile I had commented that I hate pink so nothing pink please. When I got my box the stylist had replied back that she made sure not to include anything pink for me. $40 for a cute springy pj set, the same grey tank you got this month and fleece lined tights. I live an hour drive one way from any decent shopping so to have all this delivered to my doorstep is wonderful. And I LOVE that tank! So soft!

I have not had much luck with wantable intimates or accessories. I’ve tried the intimates box 4 times, accessories box 5 times: called, changed the survey emailed, added likes in comments. Each time I keep getting things that don’t fit right, summer items in the winter, styles that look awful on me. Accessories have been okay, yet the items in my box have never wowed me. I always seem to like someone elses boxes better then mine. I’ve decided to cancel my subscription in hopes wantable will get a bit better in the future.

I am in the same boat. Wantable looked so great when I started that I signed on with a six month subscription for intimates and accessories. No luck with either box. The last box has shipped for both subscriptions and both have been cancelled.

I had been feeling like my Intimates boxes have been declining in quality, fewer pieces, more items I didn’t love. But my March box was the best in a long time. I received four items (one pair of socks, one cami, and a two piece PJ set), all of which I really like! The value was also in the $65 range, but because all the pieces were a great fit for my preferences, I was pleased.

Interestingly, I was attributing the improvement to the new returns model.

I have been subscribing to Wantable for awhile and since the new changes, it seems the intimate box has really changed in quality. My Feb outfit felt cheap so I am trying to swap it as we speak! Not worth the money for that box at all however it is a lot of trouble to pack and send back and wait for credit.
I am going to see how March turns out and if it is the same, I will be canceling!

I did not order a box this month. It’s the first time I skipped in awhile. I may wait for a few reviews before ordering again.

I had a great box this month! I got a burgundy/wine colored pajama set with shorts and a long sleeve top, super soft and trimmed with velvet, (im actually wearing it as i write this!) and a really cute sexy nightie with a matching thong. I have mine set to only send lounge wear or lingerie because i practically live in jammies, and the sexy stuff is just a nice treat for my hubby every month 🙂

January’s box was my first. I absolutely adored all three items! Unfortunately, their sizes seem to run small, so I had to return all three items. There was no way to just exchange for a larger size, it was just return the whole box for credit. I was totally bummed, but figured it would take a learning curve when getting items without trying them on first.

February’s box I loved, too! The sizes were a much better fit, though I am mystified as to why their sizes are so small. I even had to go up an entire cup size for the bra to fit.

When I returned January’s box, my credit was swift and their customer service was wonderful. In February, I had noticed that it seemed I was charged $40 instead of $36. I received this email as a response to my query:
“Thanks for contacting us! Our system has changed slightly. Orders are $40, but if you have an active subscription we give you a $4 store credit each month after the first month so that the 2nd month and on are $36. If you cancel your subscription or return it, you forfeit that $4 credit. We had a number of people “cheating the system” by ordering a subscription box and then canceling the subscription immediately so we have closed this loophole. You did receive a credit because on your second order and were only charged $36 to your card. I apologize for any confusion on this, please let me know if you have any other questions. Have a great day!”

Makes sense to me. Overall, this box so far has been loads of fun to receive, and the items have been all useful, cute, and fun. They really seem to pay attention to the personalization survey and the final thoughts box at the end. Their customer service has been prompt and polite.

Sure, I can head to the store and pick up similar items, perhaps cheaper per item than I get from Wantable. I don’t because I love the surprise factor, and I get exposed to items that I would never think of to buy for myself normally. This makes this box worthwhile for me. Now, any less items for this price point or if the craftsmanship and quality of the items drops, then it would no longer make sense for me.

I only got 2 items this month. I was quite happy with both of them, a pair of shorts/long sleeve T pajamas and a chemise (both items from my “like” category). Last month it seemed like no one looked at my preferences at all because no items I received were on my like list and sent the entire box back. This month was a drastic difference in a good way. Sadly I didn’t care for the fit of the chemise so I was happy I could send it back but I could keep the pajamas. I am still on the fence of about the changes, but I will still remain a subscriber since I have the ability to send back for a refund if I feel like the value isn’t there.

I only bought 2 boxes. The first one had a pajama set (cute) and mukluks. This one had a Spring Pajama set(again,it was cute) and a romper. I am too old for this romper and would never wear it. I cancelled for the sole reason that I am positive I could get these things at any TJ Maxx,Ross,or Marshall’s for 1/3 of the price. I subscribe to these boxes more for the surprise, but I just can’t justify spending that much on PJ’s. I was hoping to get a bra or leggings.

I didn’t order a February box until February 23, and used a coupon to pay only $28. I had an inspection sticker and stylist note with my box. I received a Per Lei pajama set with shirt($16/$5.60) and pants($16/$5.60). Wade & Belle tights($19.99/$7) and Pajama Drama romper($28/$9.80). My total is $79.99, which seems pretty good, and I’m happy with everything I received. I gave my mom the pajamas, and surprisingly, I love the romper. The pattern is super cute, whimsical, and colorful and it’s very comfy. I’ll have to let you know if there’s a big difference with my full priced March box.

My February box was just 3 items; A pair of slipper socks, the same bra you got this month and a tank that had a hole in it.. I was so unimpressed I just threw it all in a corner, and set the account to skip this month until I can think straight.. I really liked wantable so much and last month just put such a bad taste in my mouth I think I will just cancel.

I hope the site doesn’t send me this – I got both tanks two months ago! I’m glad they have a return policy if they do because while they are very comfortable I don’t need two more… I have liked the other items I received in the past but lately it has definitely been all pajama/lounge tops with no bottoms. 🙁

How come only 3 items now?? First it was 5 and the randomly 4… and now 1 month later only 3?

On Zulilly today is an intimates brand that I have received in Wantable, they are selling a set I received for 9.99. I think the value in Wantable has gone down significantly to the point that it is no longer a deal at all. 🙁 I really liked them for so long but it’s too hard to compete I guess! I understand they have to make money but to send 2 tanks (you can get for 7.99 anywhere) and a bra is kinda blah.

I like that they’re offering underwire bras now. Still not quite convinced to subscribe, though, especially with the recent changes…
