Beauty Box 5 Review – April 2015 Box

Beauty Box 5 is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. It’s also one of the cheapest beauty subscription boxes – only $8.25 a month with an annual subscription. They tend to feature drugstore brands, and usually the product sizes are deluxe or sample size. (Sometimes they still send out the dreaded foil packets though).

Beauty Box 5 Review – April 2015 Dancing Goat

Dancin' Goat Hula Bliss Hand & Body Lotion - 2 oz Value $4.50

I really like the Dancin' Goat brand since they use all natural ingredients, but the scent of this lotion just isn't for me.

Beauty Box 5 Review – April 2015 Face Cleanser

First Aid Beauty Facial Cleanser - 6 ml total Value $1

I really like the FAB line - their products are great for sensitive skin (no fragrance), plus they are paraben, sulfate, and phthalate free as well. This cleanser gets great reviews on Sephora too. These one-time use packets will be great for travel, so while I hate to see foil packets in boxes, these aren't so bad!

Beauty Box 5 Review – April 2015 Lip

Style Essentials Twin Gloss - Value $2.99

This gloss looked a little gimmicky to me, but both shades are really sheer so I think the twin gloss really is more about how it looks in the tube than on the lips. It has a nice cupcake scent, but there is a little too much sparkle in this gloss for me.

Lasting Smiles Passionfruit Mango Organic Lip Balm - Value $5

This is my favorite item in the box this month. It's very moisturizing, and I love the tropical scent. (Plus it is made with organic and fair trade ingredients!)

Beauty Box 5 Review – April 2015 Nails

Incoco Nail Polish Applique in Beauty Sleep - Value $9

This is a pretty bold look for me, but I've found that my nail sticker listings on swaps are always popular, so I'll likely end up swapping these.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $22.50. I'm happy with that value, and I think in general, this one of the better Beauty Box 5 boxes I've received in a while. What did you get from Beauty Box 5 this month?

Has anyone else still not gotten their April box? My first track number got stuck in eternal “electronic notification recieved”. After week, I sent and email and was assured it was corrected and put me on the April replacement shipping, week later still nothing but was told that she showed me on track , that my box was being filled and should have a shipping label that day…. now, 5 more days later I sent an email today asking if I was going to get my April box with my May box (yes, frustration was showing, lol) and got a prompt reply saying it was shipping but the link wasn’t “picking it up yet” because there were so many boxes. I usually like the products (and I’m about to die to try out the nail stickers), but their customer service was not the greatest this time around.

I got the cheap Rave hairspray too instead of the lotion. I’m not sure if I am going to keep my subscription. It’s not one of my favorite boxes.

Yeah we got that Dancin Goat in LLB. Not sure if this is normal or ok for that lotion but when I first got it it was super thick and could barely squeeze it out but after having it about a month it started getting really thin, like liquid.

Beauty Box 5 is one of my favorite subscriptions. I got the same thing you did, but far more attractive nail stickers. I just removed my “test” one last night. It stayed for about a week and I got compliments on the one nail I applied it to. 😀 I wasn’t as lucky as you with the gloss. I got a taupe color that I don’t see me using because it would just make me paler. I agree with the person above who is sick of lip moisturizers. I have enough now. And the same goes for gloss and colored lip stuff.

This box doesn’t seem as bad as the previous ones. Still, I’m glad I didn’t get it as I already have that lotion (from LLB) and I’m swimming in lip balm. I don’t like nail decals and my bet is that lipgloss is made in China. Indeed, I unsubscribed from Beauty Box 5 after my first 2 boxes because so many of the products included were made in China – and there is just no way of knowing whether anything from China is safe.

This was my first box and I actually paid $12 for my box because I only signed up month to month (however they did give me a great offer, I will get another box as well), so that’s 2 boxes for $12, so I think that’s a great value. I received all the same items with the exception of the lotion, I received a small can of Rave Hair Spray (brings back memories of the 90’s). My Nail Applique was in a really pretty blue and white color. Also, my Lip Gloss came in a light brown color, not sure about it yet. I also received a coupon for Rave Hairspray & on the back of the nail package there is a coupon code for 20% off at incoco.com. Overall for this to be my first box, i’m very happy. My free box is supposed to arrive tomorrow, so i’m excited to see what I will get!

I always read this although I’ll never subscribe because there are other beauty subs that suit me better. I love Dancin’ Goat. FAB seems to be a well like brand if this is the same brand that was in the PopSugar Jan? box. I noticed that the balm is organic. Interesting mix this month.

I’ve never heard of half the brands in this box, minus the Dancin’ Goat lotion that was in Little Lace Box two months ago.

I hate foil packets too, however, I do appreciate that they included 3 of them instead of just one like some boxes do.
