Jules Smith Watercolor Scarf - Value $42
This scarf fabric is very lightweight, and the measurements are thinner than I expected. (It measures 12 inches wide). Since I get a lot of scarves in subscription boxes, I guess it is a good thing to have one that is a bit of a different style.
Ofra Cosmetics Brush Duo Set (Value $45)
I am always happy to get quality brushes in subscription boxes. They aren't necessarily an exciting item for me, but they are super useful. Besides beauty blenders, I don't think I've bought any beauty tools in years thanks to subscription boxes!
Palmetto Derma Collagen Booster & Restoration Serum (Value $48)
This serum is a very lightweight liquid and it absorbs quickly. (It isn't the oil type formula some serums have). I received this in the October Boxycharm box as well, and I really need to start using it! (UPDATE - use coupon code FABFITFUN25 to save 25% off anything in the Palmetto Derma shop).
Merrithew $25 Gift Code
Intense Body Blast Workout DVD Set (3 DVDS) - Value $36
This gift code is a generic coupon code (all subscribers receive the same code). I just put a $25.95 DVD set in my cart and the discount worked correctly, but it doesn't cover shipping - which is pretty pricey. (Shipping on the Pilates-infused Yoga DVD Two-Pack came to $10.71). Still a good deal for a DVD set, but I wish their shipping prices were more reasonable.
I am SO excited about the DVD set though! I love that this 3-DVD set includes 3 different levels of intensity to work up to. (It's a mix of pilates, and intense interval training). I'm also a big fan of workout DVDs in general. (I've found that often the physical DVD is cheaper than buying it on Amazon Instant Video).
Rifle Paper Co. Coasters - $16 Value
I get excited about anything from Rifle Paper Co., so I was happy to see these included in the box. (I did my first Birchbox Plus Add On this month to get their adorable tote too!).
ORLY Nail Polish in Cake Pop (Value $8.50)
ORLY Nail BB Cream (Value $15)
I love the super pale pink Cake Pop nail polish shade, and the BB Cream will be good for when I want the bare nails look. Both of these are wins for me.
Metallic Tattoos - Value $4?
Where do I start with these? First, they are listed as Yasi Metallic Flash Tattoos with a retail price of $36 on the info card. There is no way that price can be correct for one sheet of metallic tattoos. Second, I didn't actually get the Yasi brand tattoos. (Not that I really care about the brand of my metallic tattoos, but the "Bling Tattoos" sheet I received has no brand, and the packaging looks like something that wouldn't cost more than a dollar or two).
I almost feel like they would have been better off not including this item in the box, it just feels so out of place with the inflated retail value and the cheap looking no-brand packaging.
Sprout it App Card + Miracle Grow Gro-able Seed Pod in Basil - Value $1.49
I love when subscription boxes include unique items I've never seen in a box before. I think this is a fun and healthy addition to the box, and who knows, maybe I'll be able to actually grow basil! (I do not have a green thumb, but love the idea of gardening - in theory!).
Cosmos Salted Caramel Popcorn - Value $1.49
My husband loved these! We may have to buy more. I'm always OK with FabFitFun included delicious sponsored items.
Not pictured: $125 coupon to Vow to be Chic (purchase or rent one dress, receive one free rental dress).
(This item was buried in the packing paper, so I didn't even notice it when I was taking pictures).
Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $214, just counting the physical items in the box (and not counting the tattoos since I'm not sure how to price them). Of course, if you plan on using the coupon gift codes, that will add more to the value. I think over $200 for a $50 box is a great deal, and I'll use almost everything so I'm good with that value.
