FabFitFun Spring 2015 Subscription Box Review + Coupon INFO

Each box comes with a fold out card detailing all the items included.

FabFitFun Spring 2015 Subscription Box Review + Coupon Scarf

Jules Smith Watercolor Scarf - Value $42

This scarf fabric is very lightweight, and the measurements are thinner than I expected. (It measures 12 inches wide). Since I get a lot of scarves in subscription boxes, I guess it is a good thing to have one that is a bit of a different style.

FabFitFun Spring 2015 Subscription Box Review + Coupon Brushes

Ofra Cosmetics Brush Duo Set (Value $45)

I am always happy to get quality brushes in subscription boxes. They aren't necessarily an exciting item for me, but they are super useful. Besides beauty blenders, I don't think I've bought any beauty tools in years thanks to subscription boxes!

FabFitFun Spring 2015 Subscription Box Review + Coupon Serum

Palmetto Derma Collagen Booster & Restoration Serum (Value $48)

This serum is a very lightweight liquid and it absorbs quickly. (It isn't the oil type formula some serums have). I received this in the October Boxycharm box as well, and I really need to start using it! (UPDATE - use coupon code FABFITFUN25 to save 25% off anything in the Palmetto Derma shop).

FabFitFun Spring 2015 Subscription Box Review + Coupon DVD

Merrithew $25 Gift Code

Intense Body Blast Workout DVD Set (3 DVDS) - Value $36

This gift code is a generic coupon code (all subscribers receive the same code). I just put a $25.95 DVD set in my cart and the discount worked correctly, but it doesn't cover shipping - which is pretty pricey. (Shipping on the Pilates-infused Yoga DVD Two-Pack came to $10.71). Still a good deal for a DVD set, but I wish their shipping prices were more reasonable.

FabFitFun Spring 2015 Subscription Box Review + Coupon DVD Set

I am SO excited about the DVD set though! I love that this 3-DVD set includes 3 different levels of intensity to work up to. (It's a mix of pilates, and intense interval training). I'm also a big fan of workout DVDs in general. (I've found that often the physical DVD is cheaper than buying it on Amazon Instant Video).

FabFitFun Spring 2015 Subscription Box Review + Coupon Coasters

Rifle Paper Co. Coasters - $16 Value

I get excited about anything from Rifle Paper Co., so I was happy to see these included in the box. (I did my first Birchbox Plus Add On this month to get their adorable tote too!).

FabFitFun Spring 2015 Subscription Box Review + Coupon ORLY

ORLY Nail Polish in Cake Pop (Value $8.50)

ORLY Nail BB Cream (Value $15)

I love the super pale pink Cake Pop nail polish shade, and the BB Cream will be good for when I want the bare nails look. Both of these are wins for me.

FabFitFun Spring 2015 Subscription Box Review + Coupon Tattoos

Metallic Tattoos - Value $4?

Where do I start with these? First, they are listed as Yasi Metallic Flash Tattoos with a retail price of $36 on the info card. There is no way that price can be correct for one sheet of metallic tattoos. Second, I didn't actually get the Yasi brand tattoos. (Not that I really care about the brand of my metallic tattoos, but the "Bling Tattoos" sheet I received has no brand, and the packaging looks like something that wouldn't cost more than a dollar or two).

I almost feel like they would have been better off not including this item in the box, it just feels so out of place with the inflated retail value and the cheap looking no-brand packaging.

FabFitFun Spring 2015 Subscription Box Review + Coupon Pod

Sprout it App Card + Miracle Grow Gro-able Seed Pod in Basil - Value $1.49

I love when subscription boxes include unique items I've never seen in a box before. I think this is a fun and healthy addition to the box, and who knows, maybe I'll be able to actually grow basil! (I do not have a green thumb, but love the idea of gardening - in theory!).

FabFitFun Spring 2015 Subscription Box Review + Coupon COSMOS

Cosmos Salted Caramel Popcorn - Value $1.49

My husband loved these! We may have to buy more. I'm always OK with FabFitFun included delicious sponsored items.

Not pictured: $125 coupon to Vow to be Chic (purchase or rent one dress, receive one free rental dress).

(This item was buried in the packing paper, so I didn't even notice it when I was taking pictures).

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $214, just counting the physical items in the box (and not counting the tattoos since I'm not sure how to price them). Of course, if you plan on using the coupon gift codes, that will add more to the value. I think over $200 for a $50 box is a great deal, and I'll use almost everything so I'm good with that value.

What do you think of the Spring FabFitFun Box?

You have to check out their summer box! It’s amazing. Tarte lipgloss, a wireless speaker, a jumprope, a delicate gold necklace, a konjac sponge, and more!

I’m looking for some feedback on the DVD set. I’m a novice Pilates person and haven’t done it for a couple years. I’d get the box with the current $10 off if the set is good. I really need to get some exercise done!

I had a good laugh today seeing the same Yasi tattoos that we received in this box at an arcade. They were available for trading in 250 tickets. Retail value of $36? Or $.50?

I still haven’t received tracking information! I emailed (again) and still haven’t received a response. This was my first box from them, and will be my last since this debacle.

The exact same thing is happening to me!!!! Emailing and asking for shipping on the “concierge” page and nothing at all. I even called and it told me to leave a message. I’m getting kind of concerned.

So I finally received my box… And surprise I was sent the wrong scarf! The only reason I chose the annual subscription was to choose the scarf, After this ridiculous wait and then getting the wrong order, I wrote asking them how they are planning to rectify this.

Laura L.

This is my first FFF box and I really like it a lot! I have a large somewhat plain gold tote that I’m going to tie the scarf around one of it’s handles as a colorful accent. The basil is going into my window garden and I’m happy that the Ofra brushes are cruelty-free! I think my fave item is the Orly BB nail – it makes my nails look so healthy and it dries quickly.

P.S. Meant to offer the Vow To Be Chic gift card as a RAOK to anyone who can use it? I’ll gladly email the code to first responder. Loceana at yahoo dot com.

I did find a small “deal” for the Merrithew promo – this two pack is $17.99 on Amazon (Prime for free shipping), and I paid $11.66. So I guess I could think of it as a $6 Amazon coupon lol!

Loved the spring box, I’m still trying to use the Zumba gift card from the last box (winter) and it still will not work. It states that it is good until 6/30/15. any advice?

Is it me or am I the only one waiting on their box? On the site it stated they would have shipped all spring 15 boxes by the 3rd of April. Whelp, looks like it will be more of a mothers day arrival than an Easter arrival. For this to be my first sub box and have had no communication on shipping, I am very disappointed ( not to mention the items in the box are really not that interesting). I ordered several other boxes last week and they are already starting to arrive. I purchased this box 3/20 and still nothing.

I am waiting too. I sent them a message via Facebook and told me that the warehouse was waiting on something from on of the vendors. Regardless, there should be a discount and there was no communication!

Reply ButtonReply

Camille

That’s funny they told me it was due to an issue with fedex not taking their shipments? I did receive my tracking number finally.

Rachel

Still haven’t received anything about mine either. Glad I’m not alone! This was my first and will probably be my last. I just emailed them but I’m not holding my breath for a response.

I ‘Finally’ received a response from FFF regarding my missing box. This after a number of messages:

Thank you for reaching out!
Our warehouse is working diligently to ship all the Spring boxes as quickly as possible. We will continue shipping Spring boxes in batches of thousands for the next few weeks. You will automatically receive an e-mail with your tracking information as soon as your Spring box ships out from our warehouse.
Feel free to e-mail us back if you have any other inquiries, we are always more than happy to assist you.
Warm regards,
Joe

You are not alone. I am getting so frustrated. This is my first box with them and so far they are not making a good impression. No communication and the website down for over a week. I chuckled today when I got an email to buy one for Mother’s Day and when you click the link it goes to page not found. How about you actually ship me my box before you try to sell me another. Particularly when the confirmation said boxes would start shipping March 26th.

I actually like this box- I swapped my popsugar that’s on its way for it. Both have basil, but I like this serum better, am looking forward to using the DVDs and polishes, and can gift the coasters without guilt. I’ll use the make-up brushes and scarf. Agree that the “coupons” and tattoos are mostly worthless.

About the scarf — I love it and love that it’s smaller. Like others, I have several larger scarves, so this one being different is great. I also live in Texas, where it’s about 100 degrees for 3 months… too hot for a large scarf, so this one will be nice.

It’s also REALLY cute as a headband or turban or even a ponytail tie. A lot of ways that you could style this, so very happy.

Any one else still waiting for shipping info? I signed up and paid back on 3/17 and have still heard nothing! I’m not mad, just want to see if others are also still waiting before I contact them!

Reply ButtonReply

Nikii

I did contact them, and heard back. They said they would email you (me) a tracking number when shipped. It seems I have been waiting forever As well xo

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

It took me a good month to get my box after ordering but believe me…it is worth the wait (Fall 2016 box). My popsugar box is the same way, i still havent received that one but i know it will be here when its ready. Just have to be a little patient sometimes.

I never get shipping info

Yeah, I haven’t received any shipping info either, I have an annual subscription…. I am in Canada though, so I thought that was why there was a delay?

Helen

I signed up and received a confirmation email on the 21st of March. So far I haven’t received a shipping or tracking notice.
I messaged them Friday evening and am waiting for a response.

I’m appalled by the shipping gouging with the Merrithew “gift card.” For a 5 ounce item (single strength training tubing), which is very small in dimension when packed, they charge $17.95! Are you freaking kidding me? Talk about a ripoff. And a worthless card as a result. No matter what you’re paying for what you order. The card is pointless.

Well I love everything in this box! I like the scarf is small. I only have a million huge ones. I got the other pattern which I was hoping I would get. I love it.

Has anyone noticed that their popcorn is expired? Mine expired in February.

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

Yep, mine was expired also!

Hi Liz, (or anyone else that might know the answer for sure) I am wondering if we are allowed to list items on the swap site that we had purchased with a gift card we received in a subscription box? I have something that I purchased with a gift card from this box that didn’t work out and I would like to swap if possible. Thanks !

Emily

I finally got my box today! I am loving it overall. The scarf is perfect for spring. I haven’t had orly nail polish before, so excited to try it. The serum and brush set are vegan! The dvd and coupon code are great, I love trying new fitness things. The website has lots of exciting choices. The coasters and tattoos are both cute, I got the necklace design. I am so glad to finally have it!

Missy

I have to say I’m very relieved I decided against FABFITFUN this time!! The dec. box I completely loved and bought lots of them! This box was so blah! I was interested in the scarf when I saw the spoiler but knowing know that everyone is saying it’s too small well that confirmed that I didn’t miss much!

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

I totally agree! There is not one item in this box that interests me. Not one! Love sub boxes but they can be so hit or miss for me. Loved Pop Sugar when I first joined but had to cancel after 2 super useless (for me) collections. Of course the next 2 months I saw reviewed here were awesome.
I love being able to preview many sub boxes on here before buying but I wish some of the best higher priced subs didn’t sell out before Liz & crew gets to review them.

Leslie

I liked the serum, nail polish and DVDs. I so want a rifle paper company notebook(s) or journal. I will happily trade anyone the coaster set. They are very classy looking, but I just won’t use them. You can email me at boohradley using Gmail.

If anyone wants the tattoos I am happy to mail them for free
[email protected].

The watercolour scarf is so pretty BUT too small. Way too small. I really loved but I can’t figure how to wear it.

You could tie it around your ponytail, use it as a headband, tie it on your purse etc..enjoy!!!

Kim, I’d love your blingy tattoos. I’d like to swap for them though, give something in return.
I do believe we’ve swapped before on Liz’s swap site!

Bekki

I don’t know if anyone else has already mentioned this (I haven’t seen it yet), but I wrote in to FFF and asked about the tattoos not being the Yasi brand. Here was my response:

“Hi Bekki,

The Bling Tattoos are by Yasi. Yasi sent us about 400 different tattoo variations all valued at $36 some are called Sparkle, Bling, Shine and many many other variations. The tattoos were not packed in any specific order but just as a mix, some customers may even be the only person to receive the unique variation they get. Unfortunately because there are so many variations we are not able to have customers specify the specific type they want feathers, dream catchers, arrows, mixed, etc.

They are all one sheet of high quality metallic and adhesive which is why the Yasi brand is valued so high.”

Reply ButtonReply

Savanah

Nobody would pay $36 for that! I bought a pack very similar to these at Walmart for like $3….this box was a disappointment. The merrithew gift card is also crap. I wanted to get a simple yoga mat for $28ish and the shipping was $16. Ha.

Reply ButtonReply

Taylor Carter

I haven’t received my box yet, but I will be really upset if I receive the Bling Tattoos. I think their response to you was upsetting. I found the Bling Tattoos website and you can purchase a set of four sheets for $22. The Yasi tattoos could only be found on Amazon and I think they were around $13. Shame on them for lying about the value.

Scarf: was SUPER excited about this, i even tossed a similar scarf that I was planning to sew up, figured i didn’t need it anymore since I was getting this one. Boy was that a mistake. Why the heck is is so small!!??

Tats: Took one look at these, laughed and gave them to the 20 year old intern that is going to Coachella. I get that not every item can be tailored to 35 year old me, but… eh.

Popcorn: That popcorn was seriously delicious.

I don’t expect a whole lot out of these boxes and I am usually generally pleased to just try a few new things. This one underwhelmed me, mostly because of that tiny scarf.

Reply ButtonReply

Laurie

I tried giving the tattoos to my 22 year old niece. They were rejected.

Reply ButtonReply

Andrea

I was so disappointed by the scarf as well! It’s tiny, feels stiff, and looks stained. Really I only liked the DVDs, popcorn [which I noticed Grocery Outlet sells!], and the tattoos [which cannot possibly worth any more than $10].

Reply ButtonReply

Leanna

I was super excited for this box, and it was my first from FFF. It was a flop for me. The only thing I liked was the coaster set and serum. I won’t get much use of anything else. I’m in Florida and I’m not a scarf person but it’s pretty.

Reply ButtonReply

Emily

I wish I were excited for this box. Still feeling like a sucker for resubscribing.

Before anyone uses that Merrithew coupon, check Amazon — a lot of the Merrithew DVDs sell for 5-8 dollars new there with free Amazon shipping. The Merrithew shipping really kills any deal factor on this “gift card”.

cheyrinapolly

This is my 2nd off box and will be my last. I have received everything in this box with the exception of the DVD from other, cheaper boxes. And honestly, found this box boring. Very disappointed.
