Deux Lux Travel Mystery Box Review Box

Recently Deux Lux released a travel themed mystery box, and since it included a weekender bag, I had to grab one. (FYI – this box is no longer available, but make sure to sign up for the MSA daily newsletter if you’d like an alert the next time they go on sale).

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Deux Lux Travel Mystery Box Review Items

The Box: Deux Lux Travel Mystery Box

The Cost: $100

The Products: You will receive 3 travel perfect items, one of which will be a weekender bag.

Deux Lux Travel Mystery Box Review Wallet

Deux Lux Bellini Passport Case in Bubblegum - Retail Value $35

I can't find this item on their site anymore, so I'm guessing it is older stock, but I appreciate that they included a passport case in a travel-themed mystery box. The bright pink lining is fun too:

Venice Wing Satchel in Coral - Retail Value $145

So far, I've been very impressed with the construction and materials of Deux Lux bags, and this one is fabulous. I love the linings of these bags too:

Deux Lux Travel Mystery Box Review Weekender

Anguilla Weekender - Value $155

This bag is currently listed on their site for full price! I knew I'd be getting one of their weekenders in this box, and I'm happy with this version.

As always, the lining is beautiful:

The faux leather is so soft too.

Verdict: I'm happy with my mystery box! The quality of the items is great, and definitely worth the $100 total price to me. The passport case is the one item that isn't a great fit for me, but it will make a cute gift.

What did you think of the Deux Lux Mystery Box? Which weekender bag did you get in your box?

I have a problem, I’m considering getting another one. I loved the travel one, I’m using every piece on my vacation 🙂

This was a great box – I got the Mod draw string bag in black and white – just not my style. I need to find the bag a new owner. I will do a mystery box again. It was worth it.

I love your weekender bag. That is more to my liking than the one I received. I’m still happy with my weekender bag and am impressed with the quality.

I hope they offer more mystery boxes! I find myself looking for their brand when I am in stores.

Me too! Nordstroms has it always but not in there purse section, usually up by savy. I also find it often at Marshall’s and tj Maxx. Usually more the wallets there than the purses.

I ordered the $50 Mystery Box.last time and aside from a cute wallet I wasn’t thrilled. My bag was the Elle tote, no lining, kind of plasticky I thought. This time around I can see how nice the bags are! I love the Mod Weekender! It’s so soft and beautiful. Someone said they received in green . . If anyone received that bag in a color and it’s interested in the Ecru version I would willingly swap.

You wouldn’t be interested in the Anguilla in peach, would you?? I’m dieing for the Mod bag!!

Do the bags have the same texture? I LOVE the feel of the Mod weekender … it’s so soft! Even close up it looks like it could be leather. I like the Anguilla bag too but not enough to trade, I think. I’ll have a look at it on the website and let you know if I change my mind.

I can’t believe what a difference in quality this time around. Or, maybe I just got lucky! Mystery boxes (with variation within the offerings) are so hit or miss. I’m imagining some old guy grabbing cellophane wrapped bags from three piles of varying sizes and tossing them into the mailing boxes. I’m sure they have no idea to whom they’re send what! I’d be interested to know how many of these boxes they send out!

Just listed the Deux Lux weekender..Dreamer ..black and gold..very large with the matching messenger bag…looking to trade if anyone wants to swap for the Mod weekender or the white Greenwich bleached bag! These boxes are fun!

I got a weekender that compliments the summer popular baggu bag.only with pink trim.that alone was worth it. The purse is OK, but, I need to find someone that it would suit better. I am glad to have gotten in on this deal! I am now set for summer!

Do they only offer mystery boxes or a subscription service as well?
I just realized how great this brand is when I found a backpack in Ross last night, I LOVE it!

I wish they had a sub box I would happily join!

I got the Mod Weekender in Ecru & White. It’s very classy- looks WAY better than a brown paper grocery bag when going on a short trip.

The purse I received was the Le Cirque Small Satchel in Lilac. The color strikes me as more of a pink than a lilac, but the purse is adorable and I am thinking of making it my everyday purse for the rest of the summer.

Finally, I also received the Bellini passport case. It was the only item I wasn’t wild about , so it will be swapped.

Overall, I am very pleased with my box! The Weekender alone was $155, so I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth.

Yay for vegan leather!! That weekender bag is beautiful!

I got the same weekender and I love it! It is exactly my style and I was hoping for something in the Anguilla print. I’m definitely a quirky print kind of gal 🙂 I also received a black and white drawstring purse and a passport holder. I’ll be swapping the purse as it is just not my style and probably the passport holder. I have three now thanks to this and Popsugar and I have to decide which one to keep.

I love Liz’s weekender bag, it’s cute! I got the Amalfi weekender bag which I love thankfully the box wasn’t a bust. The Le Cirque Wing Satchel in Lilac, I don’t really like the latticework on the front, but it’s so freaking soft I’ll keep it. I also got the Bellini passport cover which I can’t use since I don’t have a passport. Thankfully this box was good for me, and I paid $80 with the coupon code. I’m only sad I missed out on the first mystery box.

I’ll have to jump on the next one if I know about it! I was so tempted to jump on this one, but I only saw on or two designs of the weekender that I liked, and if I don’t like it, I won’t use it, so didn’t want to take that chance. I do LOVE the other bag included though!

Wow those are gorgeous. Wish I’d jumped on it; I have luggage envy.

I didn’t order this because I wasn’t thrilled with their previous mystery box. I’m happy with the quality of their products but they just pick the most icky colors and patterns sometimes.

Ug, same. I think most of their stuff is so so so tacky, but the value/construction is great so I am bummed that I can’t benefit from these mystery boxes!
