Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon – June 2015 - mini-mag

The box also comes with a mini-mag. This month’s theme is Cyber!

Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon – June 2015 - tee

Prime T-shirt by djkopet desgins - Value $12?

This shirt is a Loot Crate Exclusive for the Cyber box. It's a light-weight, 100% cotton, t-shirt. You certainly couldn't have a Cyber box without Transformers and TRON - so they knock both out with this mashup t-shirt!

Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon – June 2015 - terminator

Terminator Genisys Endo Skull Replica - Value $15-20?

Here's another exclusive this month. Perfect timing for the upcoming Terminator Genisys movie, this 1/2 scale model is perfect for my desk! It's actually a semi-squishy plastic, and not hard plastic. I couldn't think of a better way to include Terminator into this box - this is my favorite item this month!

It's pretty decently sized as well. Here's a better look.

Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon – June 2015 - pad

Borderlands Zer0 Game Mat - Value $10?

Another exclusive this month is the Borderlands mouse pad. It's large, to say the least. It measures 10 x 12 inches. Seems just about double the size of a normal mouse pad since it's optimized for computer gaming.

Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon – June 2015 - envelope

Battlestar Galactica Cylon Target Poster Set - Value $5?

While it's not listed as exclusive in the mini mag, I haven't been able to find this anywhere else but eBay. It includes two target posters.

Here's a closer look at the targets.

Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon – June 2015 - range-sheet

These were made for use with a NERF gun - it might have been cool to include a little NERF gun to use with this!

Loot Crate Subscription Box Review & Coupon – June 2015 - pouch

Glow-in-the-dark Circuit Gadget Pouch - Value $5?

Future Replicant Corporate Logo Patch - Value $1?

Terminator Genisys Brain Chip Keychain - Value $10-15?

Most, if not all, items this month are Loot Crate Exclusives. While that's awesome for us customers, it's hard to give readers a proper value - so most of my values are educated guesses (thanks eBay!).

I'm excited to find out if the brain chip is a plot point in the new movie. The mini mag states that you're holding a brain chip belonging to the new & improved T-1000 Terminator. I'm not even sure how you improve the T-1000 from Terminator 2!? That alone makes me want to see the movie.

Verdict: I enjoyed this month's Loot Crate more than I expected! When I saw that the theme was Cyber, I was less optimistic, because it's not my favorite theme (I'm totally excited for July's Heroes Box!). They hit a lot of perfect movies and video games for the theme. I love the Terminator Endo Skull, and it certainly got me more excited for the movie and wondering how Skynet will take over the world once again!

What did you think of this month's Loot Crate?

I know this is older but I wanted to add my cents. This was my first loot crate box and I was thoroughly disappointed. I felt like I paid money to be advertised to (terminator stuff). Everything felt really cheaply made- keychain that does nothing but add weight and was horribly painted, and the pouch is really really cheap.
The only thing that made this box sort of worth it was the mousepad and shirt (only because it was a shirt- I didn’t like the design).

July’s loot crate was so much better IMO and that is the only reason I kept the sub going.

Somewhat disappointed with loot crate. I like some exclusives, but feel like it’s kinda lame to have almost all exclusives now, as in their making it okay to have lame stuff because its ”exclusive”. I feel they’re going downhill, and this box was no exception.

Tshirt and mouse pad where great, but the other stuff was pretty lame. The skull was terribly made, I collect vinyl and this was pure garbage despite what the packaging said. Keychain was lame, pencil case what okay, but just because its an exclusive doesn’t make it any better.

The way loot crate has been recently I feel like we will soon be getting boxes filled with cheap Chinese crap (already half way there) with the word “exclusive” to describe it.

I just thought that the gadget pouch would make a very nice geeky makeup bag. I think I’ve been seeing too many ipsy sub posts lately… But it’s a very nice bag (it glows in the dark!) !

Though I’m glad I didn’t get this box because apart from the gadget bag and the mousepad, nothing is really appealing for me (and weirdly, they had the “Transform” theme (with a lot of Transformers products) back in June last year, so I’m a bit meh about using this again).

I am so glad I resubscribed in time. The shirt is worth the whole box price to me. I love it! The skull, keychain, and mousepad are awesome. I’m happy with mine. Great review!

Thanks for the review – looking forward to more by you. This month fell flat for my husband and I. He plopped the skull on the mantle but all the rest is going in the swap pile. I might keep the circuit pouch for pens at work.

I can’t believe my older son is reliving my childhood. Jurassic World, Terminator, Transformers (the cartoon played in the 80s). Even Jaws made an appearance for a couple nights in the local theater last week. I never saw the movie until a few months ago, but everyone in the 80s recognized the Jaws music.

My older son would had enjoyed this box. We have lots of nerf guns so no issues there.

Welcome to reviewing, Eric! 🙂

I’m surprised how many exclusives they get into these boxes. I might need to sign up my son for the next one since he loves superheroes!

OMG, it’s Liz’ husband! Hi Eric!! 😀

I would have been happy if they included more Battlestar stuff. (LOVE that show.) And I’ve lost faith in Terminator since James Cameron stopped making them. They seriously need to get him back! Having said that, the head does look pretty cool.

Definitely agree! While the new movie isn’t getting great reviews so far, I’m still excited that there are throw backs to the two best installments of the series!
