Bump Boxes Subscription Box Review & Coupon - August 2015 - info 2

This month’s box (for me) focuses on nursing and feeding the baby! Even though my little one hasn’t arrived yet, I’m due any day now with my first, a boy.

Bump Boxes Subscription Box Review & Coupon - August 2015 - items 1

Milkies Softies Nursing Pads – 3 pair pack, value: $14.95

These nursing pads get really good reviews, and they feel really soft. I also love that they’re reusable, and made from bamboo (bamboo fabrics/materials are so incredibly soft and cool to the touch).

Dr. Brown’s Breastmilk Storage Bags – 25 count, $7.99

Dr. Brown’s is a big name in baby bottles, and it’s always great to see a well-known brand in subscription boxes! I think milk storage bags are a great thing to include in a sub box themed around nursing – they’re definitely something I hadn’t thought about that will be very useful!

Milk Makers Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Lactation Cookie – 2 oz/1 cookie, value: $2.19

These cookies seem to have really good reviews about helping milk production! I wanted to try it myself but since my little boy isn’t here yet I want to use it once he’s here and I’m actually nursing. The ingredients that are supposed to help with lactation are calcium, folic acid, vitamins B6, B12, C, D, A, Oats, Flaxseed, and Iron. I know they make multivitamins specifically for nursing and milk production – personally, I’d probably rather go that route if I end up needing some help than eating a ton of cookies and getting all that sugar/calories! But this is definitely a nice treat to have.

Earth Mama Angel Baby Organic Milkmaid Tea – full-size/16 tea bags, value: $5.99

Earth Mama Angel baby is a brand I’ve become familiar with through subscription boxes – they offer lots of organic and natural options for prenatal and momma care. This tea sounds like it has high praise for helping milk production and I think it tastes pretty good! I think it’d be nice iced or hot.

Motherlove Nipple Cream – full size/1 oz, value: $9.95

I’m really excited about this product because it’s organic, has a zero toxin rating, and is safe for baby’s ingestion so you don’t have to worry about washing it off or anything between feedings.

Bella B Nipple Nurture Breast Wipes – full size/24 count, value: $3.99

These wipes are made with food-grade ingredients (music to my ears!), are hypoallergenic, paraben-free, and free of any kind of animal by-products! I hadn’t thought about these being a product that would be helpful before, but now that I’ve heard of them I can definitely see how these would be nice before/after feedings or pumping, even if just to feel a little fresher.

The Verdict: Once again, I loved this BumpBoxes delivery. I’ve found even more brands and products that I hadn’t thought of or am just excited to try. I’m excited to use everything. The value adds up to $45.06 – I’d generally prefer a little higher value point but since I know I’ll use each item (and since they included some things I never would have thought of), I’m still quite happy!

I had my baby a few weeks ago and honestly I’d be really excited about this box. For me, breastfeeding has been the most difficult part of motherhood, hands down. Harder for me than conceiving, pregnancy, and labor. Yes, harder than labor! Right now I’m spending at least five hours a day hooked up to a breastpump (10-12 times per day, for 25 minutes per session) because my baby can’t latch correctly (I’ve had five lactation appointments to prove it). So, anything that could help me get my milk supply up is totally worth it in my book.

So do they keep sending boxes after you have the baby and what type of items do you get in those boxes monthly? I like the idea of getting a nice box each month (I’m due with my first boy tomorrow actually)! Thanks and good luck to you!

Molly, I also wanted to add that they have a “build your own box”/shop option (they package your order up like one of their sub boxes. If you go to their site and click on “build your own” at the top, you can see the kinds of products they offer in their store! Also, Good luck to you as well!

Molly, we have the same due date! And yes, they do send boxes after baby’s born. They have a few different options – for $10/month you can get a monthly box of samples, so that can be helpful pretty much anytime. The $39.99/month box is what I’ve been reviewing, and it’s the full-size products for pregnancy, mom, and baby and has the themes according to your specific due date. This option covers “9 months of pregnancy and 12 months of baby!” (check out their website/”subscribe” page for more info.)

I wish I had this box during my pregnancies 🙂

I love this box and although my boys are grown, I exclusively breastfed them until they were about 1 years old. I love this box and I wish you a fast and easy labor, a healthy baby boy and lots and lots of milk!

The sugar and calories are actually a big part of milk production. For the mamas who are working on supply, enjoy! And nurse frequently as that is the demand that brings in the supply as well.

Erin – that’s a good point! I will definitely enjoy that with even less guilt, then. 🙂

I was wondering if you had had your son already since I hadn’t seen a review from you in a bit. I hope that the delivery goes well and you get to meet your boy soon!

I thought NUTURE was some new thing in parenting, and then I realized they just misspelled “nurture” in big, bold letters. Lol!

Haley

Wow, that’s so funny – I didn’t even notice the typo! Haha!
