The Box: Julep Fuzzy Fuchsia Mystery Box

The Cost: $24.99

The Products:

This box definitely includes:

Julep Fuzzy Fuchsia Mystery Box Review + Coupon Pink

Julep Nail Color in Jenny - Retail Value $14

Julep Nail Color in Trisha - Retail Value $14

These are the two new shades everyone gets in this mystery box. I love the gold undertones of the magenta microshimmer shade!

Julep Fuzzy Fuchsia Mystery Box Review + Coupon Orange

Julep Nail Color in Mariska - Retail Value $14

Julep Nail Color in Connie - Retail Value $14

I like these fun summer colors! The Connie shade is a bright purple creme, and the Mariska shade is an orange matte finish polish. (The product description on Julep identifies it as a shimmer, but all the reviews indicate the polish has a matte finish).

Julep Fuzzy Fuchsia Mystery Box Review + Coupon Tats

All mystery boxes also come with these metallic nail tattoos.

Julep Fuzzy Fuchsia Mystery Box Review + Coupon Beach Tonic

Julep Beach Tonic Dry Body Oil - Retail Value $23

I've sampled this before and I like the dry oil formula (and that it is free of parabens and sulfates!). I'm not super crazy about the scent though - it has an ocean-like scent, but I think I would have preferred something a little more sunscreen inspired. (I'm probably the only one who thinks that, though!).

Julep Fuzzy Fuchsia Mystery Box Review + Coupon Brow

Julep Lock Down Your Brows Brow Gel - Retail Value $22

This item is a big win for me - I already have one thanks to my Julep Maven subscription and I was planning on buying more!

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $100 (not counting the value of the nail tattoos). I think that's a good value for the price, and I love that this box has a last-days-of-summer vibe! What do you think of the Julep Fuzzy Fuchsia Mystery Box?

I loved the nail polishes in this box. The beauty products were a bust for me. I like the body oil, but I’m not going to need more for quite some time. I also got the brow gel recently, either as a free bonus gift or in a mystery box. The summer mystery set was a total waste, thank God I didn’t pay anything for it. I JUST recieved Lee in my August box as my bonus gift for getter 3 add-ons. I agree with the other person that said that it seems that julep is just trying to get rid of their over stocked items. The cuticle serum isn’t my thing either. Again, I already have one from another bonus gift or mystery box. Sheesh. I guess it’s swap time.

I have to say that I really liked this mystery box. I have only been a member about 3 months, but the products were great for me. I LOVE the shower oil spray, AND the way it smells. My sprayer worked wonderfully. I did already have the Connie color, but that just means a gift for someone else taken care of. The other colors were great. The nail tattoos are lost on me, but will make a nice addition with the other Connie polish as a gift. I don’t do anything in particular with my eyebrows (as far a makeup goes), so this will also be gifted to some of my more make-up loving friends and family. I thought the value was there, and great for a mystery box. I paid full price, and didn’t get any mystery earrings, but I am sure someone did.

I totally agree about the polishes making great gifts, thats what I have been doing with some instead of swapping because its so easy and fun. TOTALLY agree with you on the brows Mary! I still cant wait to see my box (out for delivery now and will be here within 3 hours) and WHO got those earrings!?!?!

i got my box today and I got a set of the earrings!!! I wanted the two new colors and wasn’t expecting to win the earrings at all so I was excited ?

Lauren

Don’t know if anyone else caught the live broadcast with Jane, but it looks like all the September subscription boxes will have a free bonus signature polish color from Julep. Very excited!

I got my mystery box today and I felt it was a great value for the money. (I got mine for 12.50). I had Mariska already (that one does dry matte) so I really only like Jenny and Connie. I didn’t get the earrings and have yet to see anyone post saying they got them. Guessing they will go to the people that paid full price for the box.

I really like the body oil but hate the sprayer. I have had two bottles of the oil and both sprayers were wonky. My last one works but you have to pry the spray top up with your fingers after you spray.

I got mine today and was excited! I already had Mariska, but I love how Jenny looks! I was curious about the dry oil…but didn’t “need” it so never bought it. It’s okay, but I don’t care for the smell too much so far. And I really wanted to try the eyebrow gel and told myself to hold off on buying it until I got my mystery box in case it was in there…and it is! yay! And mine was half off, so it’s just a big ole win for being that cheap.

Hmmm. It would not me use the 50 off on the mystery box. Sent them an email and told it was valid on that box. Only like 2 of those polishes and would never use that oil. Hope mines is diff. This was going to be a short lived sub anyway. Will be cancelling after one more box.

The 50% off coupon expired a week ago. All the mystery boxes this time are the same, so that is the stuff you will get. Some months the mystery boxes have had variations, but it appears everyone is getting the same things this time around.

The coupon was effect when I ordered. When they sent me that too bad so sad email, knew I wouldn’t be dealing with them for long. Sure I can find someone at work who will use that oil.

Elise

I snagged this mystery box using my 50% coupon which made it a total steal. I’m not in love with the nail polish and will more than likely swap those but Brow Gel and the Dry Body Oil make this a win for me. I love the surprise of the mystery box…especially when I can get it for $12!

Eh. I got exactly what you got and I’m not very excited by it. After a year or so of great mystery boxes by Julep, I’m disappointed in this one and the last one. I mean, it doesn’t suck, but it feels like getting rid of extra crap. I have the body oil already and don’t love it (not very moisturizing, doesn’t save time over lotion). PLus I don’t use brow gel.

I also got the $15 mystery set (for free) and it was just ONE extra polish… and one that I got in the last mystery box.

I’ll pass next time.

I misspoke, sorry, senior moment. My ‘summer mystery set’ was a polish AND the mighty nail serum. I’ve had that before and am not impressed… don’t love the application and it doesn’t last long.

So while the technical money value is there, for me the value is not there this time. That’s the risk of a mystery!

Let me tell you, that Mighty Nail and Cuticle Serum is swap gold on this site! Lots of people want it, and it’s cheap and easy to ship.

Marissa

I would email them! That is lower than the advertised value of the mystery set ($42). If I get the same thing I will DEFINITELY be upset

mimi

anxious to get mine — should be here tomorrow

Marissa

I cant wait to see what else comes in my box! I did the mystery set for $15 more and a code for $15 off so for the same price I hope its some awesome stuff! Should arrive today or tomorrow, thanks for reviewing the mystery set though! I know many people will want to get this one since the lock down your brows is in t!

Erica

I also added the mystery set with the coupon to get it for free. It had the mighty nail and cuticle serum and Lee polish (which I already had). This was a great deal to get all this for $25 – the nail serum alone is worth that and i added that on for free!

SciFiChick

I got the same stuff in my box. And since I used a half-off code it was well-worth the price! I was very happy!
