Yuzen Beauty Subscription Box Review – Fall 2015 Shampoo

Africa Organics Marula Shampoo - FULL SIZE! Value $7?

(Good to know for swaps - has inner seal)

This shampoo has everything you might want in a shampoo formula: gluten free, sulfate free, vegan, cruelty free, and 100% natural! I like the minty scent too! I can't it for sale online in the US though, so I'm hoping I don't like it too much - I won't be able to restock!

Yuzen Beauty Subscription Box Review – Fall 2015 lotion

RED FLOWER Lymphatic Phytopower Sea Cleanser and Masque - 32.5 ml Value $5.25

This cleanser is lightly scented and very gentle. (The formula is almost like a lotion).

RED FLOWER Arctic Berry Cloud Milk Cream - 50 g Value $16.45

(Good to know for swaps - has inner seal)

This is a nourishing cream you can use for both face and body. Personally, the scent is a little too strong for me to use on my face, but I do like it as a body moisturizer.

Yuzen Beauty Subscription Box Review – Fall 2015 Serum

COWGIRL Extreme Antioxidant Serum - 10 ml? Value $6.50

(I'm guessing on the size since this bottle isn't labeled with a size). This serum is lightweight and absorbed into my skin almost instantly! It has a natural herbal scent which may not work for everyone - but I like it!

NUBIAN HERITAGE Indian Hemp & Haitian Vetiver Body Wash - 3 oz Value $3

(Good to know for swaps - has foil seal)

I recommend shaking this one before using it - mine had separated a little. I think the scent is unisex, so it will definitely be used by me or my husband!

Yuzen Beauty Subscription Box Review – Fall 2015 Glee

GLEE Gum - Value $1

ECO LIPS Organic Lip Scrub - Value $10

(Good to know for swaps - sealed with sticker on side)

These last two items are very minty! My favorite part of the organic lip sugar scrub? The directions tell you to either rub it off when done or to eat it!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $49. Previous Yuzen boxes have had higher values, so I was a little surprised with this value, but at least I like all the products! The lip scrub is a new favorite discovery too!

Wish I’d gotten the shampoo instead of the conditioner.

That’s what is stopping me from biting the bullet! I have the kind of hair that barely ever requires conditioner. If I knew I would get the shampoo instead I’d order for sure!

I love Yuzen! Their boxes are always so well curated and the packaging is divine. Whenever it comes it is like I am receiving a special gift that someone has sent just for me! The products this month are great. None of them were bad at all. Plus since it comes once a quarter I can really enjoy using the products to see if I like them.

I got the conditioner instead of the shampoo. It’s quite odd — my hair just soaks it up so I have to use a ton (like that tube will only last a week). I can barely feel it when it’s in my hair. But my hair feels really nice afterwards. (I think I must be used to silicones coating my hair or something…)

I have never subscribed to this box so I can’t speak to the contents but that floral paper strip around everything looks beautiful.

Except for the gum, I loved everything in this box. I don’t chew gum, but my husband does so I gave it to him. Yuzen is definitely one of my favorites — I just wish it were monthly instead of quarterly (sigh). It also comes from Louisville, CO (a small town between Denver and Boulder) and since I’m a Denver girl that just makes it all the better!

Thanks for sharing that! I’m in Broomfield and had no idea! I absolutely love Yuzen and didn’t even notice the value difference this month because I was so happy with the curation. Part of me wishes they were monthly, but I also get Kloverbox and I’m getting overloaded so perhaps it is for the best. I’d rather they keep the focus on their amazing service, packaging and products which we have seen gone by the wayside as a company grows.
