COCOTIQUE Beauty Box Review September 2015 - 8

SheaMoisture Superfruit Complex Bubble Bath & Body Wash 15ml - Value: $2.00

SheaMoisture Superfruit Complex Bath, Body & Massage Oil 15ml - Value: $2.00

I absolutely love the SheaMoisture brand.  They make a ton of hair, body and beauty products and I’ve never tried any from the Superfruit Complex collection. And I’m a sucker for oils so I’m already happy with this month’s box.

NuNaat Garlic Shampoo 15ml - Value: $2.00

NuNaat Garlic Conditioner 15m - Value: $2.00

This is news to me.  Garlic in your hair?  I don’t know about this one. LOL, I’ll be brave, though.

Hair Body N’ Soul White Chocolate Leche Daily Hair Moisturizer 2ea -Value: $2.00

Ok, I’m seeing a trend of foods for hair and body so far.  I’ve never heard of this either.  I popped one open and it smell delicious!  Maybe I can put this in my hair after I use the garlic products.  I’m so smart.

Milani Liquid Eye Liquid-Like Eye Liner Pencil in Aqua #04 FULL SIZE - Value: $7.99

Swatches at the end.  I’m a little disappointed with this eye liner for two reasons. From the packaging and name, I thought the color was in the sky blue/baby blue color family. Secondly, the pencil broke as soon as I started swatching. I expected it to glide across my skin like butter.  On a positive note, this did not budge a bit when I tried to wash it off!  It will last all day and all night.

Black Radiance Perfect Tone Lip Gloss in Blackberry #5111 FULL SIZE - Value: $2.99

I’m ready for Fall now.  This color is perfect!! Swatches at the end. The color in the bottle is very deceiving, but what I like the most is how moisturizing this gloss is, and how pigmented it is after application.  It really feels like you’ve only put on a hydrating lip balm. I love it!

Cover FX Custom Cover Drops in N100 2ml - Value: $6.00

I swatched this as well.  I’ve always wanted to try these drops and could never get around the hefty price tag.  This sample will go a long way.  It says you use a single drop at a time to customize your foundation.

Badger Balm Cuticle Care 0.75oz FULL SIZE - Value: $5.99

I wish you could smell this. A few of the ingredients listed are lemongrass, rosemary, and mandarin and it smells amazing.  I’m really glad to have this with the change in season.  I can never pamper myself (and kiddos) enough.  It goes on so silky and melts into your skin without leaving it greasy.  Did I mention it smells really, really good?

DermWORX CerumWORX Stable 10% Vitamin C + Biopeptides Capsules 7ea - Value: $9.00

These capsules are so small, about the size of a pea.  I must have a big head or something because I go through skincare products so fast. These feel so itty bitty I’m really thinking about gifting them to a friend or swapping out. Anyway, they’re suppose to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and protect the face from sun damage.

EA Polish Nail Polish in High Noon Tea 13ml and Ring Set FULL SIZE - Value: $12.00

On the EA Polish website, you pick out a ring of your choice after picking a polish.  But, I was disappointed that there were only 6 polishes available right now.  I like the vibrant color I received, but I must say, I wasn’t a fan of the formula compared to Cult and Julep.  It’s very thin and absolutely needs two coats to wear it on its own.  So I would say this would be great to pair under a few of the see-through nail wraps I have.  I love the gold wave ring and hoped to see it online as well, but couldn’t find it. For size reference, it fit both index and middle fingers.

COCOTIQUE Beauty Box Review September 2015 - 16

Verdict: This is the best Cocotique box I’ve received!  I’m very happy with almost every item this month.  I do wish that there was one deluxe/full sized hair product instead of the "not for resale" freebies.  I’m very impressed with the variety of brands that are brand new to me; and happy to see another product from Cover Fx and Milani.  Aside from the digital magazine subscription and coupon codes, this month’s box has an estimated retail value of $54.00!  Happy Anniversary indeed!

What was your favorite item from Cocotique this month?  I’m torn between the lip gloss from Black Radiance and the cuticle tin from Badger Balm.

Man, I’m kicking myself for not getting this box! All that stuff for $20 and an opportunity to support a B.O.B. is a great deal.

This box was just ok for me. Actually tossed the nail polish because…uh yeah. My favorite is the Badger cuticle care. This was my last Cocotique box. Cancelled because Essence starts next month. Will see how that goes.

Hi Cecilia,
Do you think the MIlani eyeliner would work on the waterline also? It’s exactly the color I have been looking for but finding a liner that is good on the waterline (and does not vanish) is tough. Thanks!!

Wow, I’ve never heard of hair garlic either! That blackberry lipgloss is super dark, I love it! Subscription boxes have gotten me into lipgloss and lipstains–I never wore them before–and now I’m hooked.
