These are styles of dress that I would typically buy.

I got two shirts as well. One is a plain t-shirt, but very much what I would typically buy (although for cheaper). The other is definitely outside of my comfort zone, but I’ll see what I can come up with to make it work. That’s part of the fun, right?!

I’m very pleased overall with the purchase! I will do this again when it comes back up.

I received my items. I have ordered clothes (and shoes, home, accessories) from ModCloth before and have learned that with my body shape I need to size up. In the past the only item I have ever had to return was the dresses. I love their styling so I had high hopes for this Stylish Surprise.

I ordered 1 dress, 5 apparels and 2 pairs of shoes. The dress, even though sized up, still did not fit and truthfully was personally not something I would pay for.

Out if the apparels 1 was the wrong size. It was the cutest item in there and I can’t wear it. 🙁 It was 4 sizes too small. How that happens I do not know. I looked at the packaging and somewhere in the packaging process someone put the wrong item into a bag that said my size but wasn’t. I called customer service. They were great. Refunding my money and I do not have to send the item back. I will actually donate this item.
The other apparel: 2 were pretty but too large (because I sized up like I normally gave too). So they look like maternity tops on me. 1 was not my style but fits the vest although it clings to ny belly a little too much. The other us a cardigan that I have on my wushlist in several others colors. I got mustard yellow which does not look good in my skin tone. The good thing is now I know how this cardigan guts on me. Ugh…not so great.

The two shoes were the most shocking. I love 98% of ModCloth’s shoes. Well I got the 2% that I think are hideous.

II still lice ModCloth. That same day I ordered some other items that I love. So, I will continue to shop there but no more Stylish Surprises for me (unless U can grab an accessories or home item). With what I spent I xiyld have gotten 2 shirts abd a pair of shoes I loved but I got (as my husband says of subs in general) a bunch of stuff I wouldn’t pay for even if it was on clearance. Le sigh…

I just received my stylish surprise… I ordered a dress, an apparel item and a pair of shoes… I ordered both the dress and the apparel in medium. The dress they sent is a large. It’s a lovely dress, but will never fit. I’m bummed. Sent customer service an email, hoping they can do something about it, but I don’t have high hopes.

I just opened my order! I got a dress and an apparel item. Shoes were already sold out.

For the dress, I received the Georgia Gallivanting halter/strapless dress in navy dots – here is a picture:

I love that its a convertible strapless dress and that it is retro. It is well made and lined.

For the apparel, I received a really pretty Lila Clothing Company floral tank that is more like a halter top. The background is a soft green with roses in a dusty pink color. Also fully lined, soft, and very pretty. I could not find a picture of it, but its very pretty.

I was very happy with the surprises!

I posted the pictures of my order. I got two dresses, an alternate clothing item (in this case a skirt) and a pair of shoes (in this case a pair of tall boots). I actually was pleasantly surprised with my items! One of the dresses was a really cute navy blue with small crescent moons on it. I feel a lot better about my mystery items from ModCloth than those I received from the Golden Tote mystery sales.

I received both of my items! The dress is absolutely lovely and fits perfectly however it is a homecoming (prom?) dress and I am 27 years old but I may see if I can pull it off for a wedding this spring with the right accessories. It is strapless hits about mid calf with a tan lining overlayed with black tulle, it’s very well made! For the apparel I received a really pretty mustard yellow button down long sleeve blouse, my only complaint about it is if I leave 3 buttons undone it is a bit risqué (but nothing too terrible) however if I only leave 2 undone it’s too tight however I can always throw it on over a tank top. Over all I am extremely happy with both items and I’m looking forward to the next stylish surprise:)

I am SUPER irritated with what I received. While one dress was beautiful and fit perfectly… they sent me another dress that was NOT the size I ordered at all!! I am so upset. Then I call their customer service and no one is there because of an “event”… How are you going to label something as “all sales finals” and then send something that is not the size selected??

I received my order yesterday (I paid for expedited shipping), and I had ordered 2 apparel and 1 dress. The apparel items were a cute mint-green lightweight sweater with cream-colored lace accents and a tulip-print blouse (which is cute, but the wrong colors for me – green, orange, and yellow!). The dress is an adorable burgundy colored 50’s-style knee-length dress that has a really cool neckline – it is almost triangular. It is super flattering (ie: stretchy!), fits me perfectly, and I don’t have anything else like it – so I’d say that’s a win! 🙂 It’s my first time ordering from ModCloth, and I’m super impressed!

I received my order today, just thought I would share what I got, I purchased 4 pairs of shoes and 2 apparel items, for the shoes I received:

I really like all the items except the booties, i was hoping for boots but the shoes I got were nice and I will wear them, also I received all the items I purchased (didn’t get an email anything was out of stock), I hope everyone gets what they ordered and likes what they receive!

Bummed that was for 1 apparel item 🙁 at least I’m getting two dresses.

Has anyone else gotten emails that part of their order can’t be filled because they oversold?

No shoes for me even though I had my confirmation email at 9:03 am. Really?

They sent a code for 10% off a future order in the next 90 days.. 🙁

I was thinking….In the spring sale, they sent boots, so I hope that I don’t receive a whole bunch of sandles, lol.

I purchased earlier in the day. I purchased 2 each of the shoes, apparel, and dresses.

I love SS, but I’m also cautious as last time, I received two of the exact same dress… that did not even come close to fitting.

I got 4 dresses and 4 apparel. The shoes were already sold out in my size. :/ I miss the old prices, but these are still a deal for ModCloth. It makes it hurt a bit more if you get something you don’t like, though.

Wasn’t overly thrilled with the last few rounds but I also had $20.00 of credit since one of my dresses from the last round of SS has a huge hole in it. I’m also kind of in between sizes so I decided to just get a M & L of both dresses and apparrel and 2 sz 10 shoes. I hope the shoes work for me at the very least (last time I go the most HIDEOUS pair of jelly/plastic red pumps with a big heart on the toe – EWWWW!! lol)

Did apartment stuff sell out immediately or was it never available to begin with?

I had a couple of pair of shoes (size 8.5) in my cart – I was having some trouble checking out using PayPal on the ModCloth app, so I switched to credit card. In that time, the shoes in my cart sold out ?. Looks like things are going fast!

I got three pairs of shoes, 8.5. I then went back a few minutes later, that size is sold out. I have gotten great boots in the past, so I hope I get lucky again. Or at least something I can wear to work and be on my feet all day.

Modcloth is all vintage stuff right? (Excuse my ignorance)…

I might have gone a little overboard this time. I ended up with 8 apparel, 7 pairs of shoes, and 5 dresses.

Of course this had to go live when I was stuck in a meeting and they are all out of shoes in my size! Boo!

I got 4 pairs of shoes and 6 dresses. Crossing my fingers that it is all different brands/designs. 🙂

There hasn’t been one of these in a while! I think I’m going to skip. I could get a dress for my sister for her birthday (in January). Hopefully they will do another one before Christmas, and I will get to it in time! They are already sold out of my sizes. :/
