Friday The 13th T-Shirt - Value $10?

This month's exclusive shirt includes one of horror's most iconic characters - Jason. I'm loving this shirt, and I love the inclusion of Camp Crystal Lake with Jason watching over it. This is one of their best shirts to date.

Child's Play Chucky Plush - Value $20

I was surprised to see the price on Amazon and positive reviews on this plush. For me, a lot of the plushes have been misses from Nerd Blocks lately, and this one is a miss as well. Overall, it just looks and feels cheaply done to me.

horror-block-oct-2015-mousepad

Summoner's Mouse Pad - Value $5-10?

One of the exclusives this month is a Quija Board mouse pad. It's been a long long time since I've used on of these things, but my only memories are always of everyone involved saying "I'm not moving it!?!?!"

horror-block-oct-2015-dracula

Dario Argento's Dracula DVD - Value $11.99

The inclusion of a DVD in Horror Blocks continue with the inclusion of Dario Argento's Dracula. This one is getting middle-of-the-road reviews - I've never been a big Dracula fan, so this one may be a swap item.

horror-block-oct-2015-cryptic

Rue Morgue's Cryptic Collectibles - Value $14.95

This is a great collection of awesome horror collectibles. Subscription boxes definitely has me back into collectibles, so this is right up my alley.

They're Coming To Get You Print - Value $10?

A print was including this month, and it includes some of horror's notorious undead. Oh poor poor Sophia. After seeing her in this print, I can't not hear Daryl yelling 'Sooooppphia!' in, basically, all of season two of The Walking Dead. This is printed on heavy card stock and ready for framing.

Verdict: This month's Horror Block was just ok for me. I actually really like the shirt and the collectibles book, but the plush knocks it down a couple of notches, for me. This plush is in the category of the Slimer plush, it's just odd looking - while I really liked the BB-8 plush that seemed much more professionally done. I also had hoped that there would be a shout out to one of horror's greatest, Wes Craven, who passed in August - but nothing in the past two months. It seems only natural for a horror box to send something of his work.

yeah ive been following some unboxings for a few months deciding on this..so when october rolled around I figured hello Halloween : perfect time to finally try horror block. .. very much disappointed. I would not have spent $30 seeing this stuff in a store. love the shirt and the doll was ok-cool to put out for halloween each yr. the book -yeah ok ill enjoy going through it once. the rest meh. wish october had at least another ‘big’ item like a horror funko given the time of year! I have seen better unboxings so ill give it another chance and decide if ill continue past two months.

I was kinda eh about this box. I guess as a lifelong horror fan I was expecting something epic being that this month is Halloween ?

I actually really loved this! My son and I watched Child’s Play last night so I surprised him with the doll (which I am keeping). The tee shirt is one of my faves I’ve ever received in this type of box (right up there with Death by Kittens and Ewoking Dead from Loot Crate).
