Even though I am not in any need of new nail polish, sometimes I can't resist buying a Julep Mystery box. I usually go for it when there will be one or two polish shades made exclusively for the box. That way, at least I won't get all repeats in the box!

This Night Lights Mystery Box went on sale on the 7th and has since sold out, but they release a new one every month.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Box: Julep Night Lights Mystery Box

The Cost: $24.99

The Products: $100 retail value worth of beauty and nail polish, including:
• New Brenna (Boho Glam): Blue glow-in-the-dark iridescent microglitter top coat
• New Brandy (It Girl): Steel grey with blue microglitter liquid holographic

Julep Nail Color in Jess – Retail Value $14

Julep Nail Color in Margot – Retail Value $14

Julep Nail Color in Corinne – Retail Value $14

Julep Nail Color in Brandy – Retail Value $14

Julep Nail Color in Brenna – Retail Value $14

(The two shades are on the far right are the exclusive shades made just for this box that all customers received).

The Jess shade is a dark brown creme, Margot is a gold shimmer, and Corinne is the Stardust finish. (The formula does not get the best reviews on Julep). Here are the shades on (photos from Julep):

The Brenna shade is a blue glow-in-the-dark iridescent microglitter top coat, and the Brandy shade is a steel grey with blue microglitter liquid holographic. I'm excited to try the glow-in-the-dark top coat - it seems perfect for Halloween!

Julep Fluid Eye Glider - Value $20

This eyeliner marker is easy to apply, and paraben free! It looks like it bleeds a little in the swatch below, but it stayed perfectly in place when I used it on my eyelid and not my wrist!

Julep Luxe Up Your Lips Tinted Conditioning Lip Treatment in Sangria - Value $24

This lip gloss shade has more pigment than the other Luxe Up Your Lips glosses I've tried. (And I've tried a few thanks to Julep mystery boxes!) This formula isn't sticky at all, and it adds a good amount of shine and color:

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $114! Even though I don't pay retail prices for Julep Maven products, I still think it is a great deal for $25. (Just a little over $4 an item). I definitely recommend Julep Mystery boxes if you are new to the Julep Maven subscription and want to build out your collection quickly and cheaply. Or if you are thinking about signing up for a subscription, it is a great way to try out their formulas first.

What do you think of the latest Julep mystery box? Did you get one?

I used the glow in the dark polish, and haven’t seen it work yet, did I do something wrong? I put it over polish I already had on…

The glow polish needs alot of light. I had to hold my nails under a light for a minute b4 it glowed in dark

I got the exact same box too. I’m happy with it, but find it odd that we all got the same one.

So glad I resisted this one. The only item I like in it is the glow in the dark polish. I don’t like dark lip products or that type of eyeliner. And in case I didn’t already have too much Julep polish, these colors aren’t anything great.

I love when they do the boxes that tell you if its beauty items or nail polish. I prefer the beauty items since I get enough new polish with my monthly subscription .

I got this one for my daughter for stocking goodies! (We might have to break out the Brenna for Halloween!) The colors are beautiful, and Brandy is another favorite!

I got the same exact box! I love liquid black eye liners but i have so many already but i guess its always good to have more. I’m also a lip balm kinda person so not really excited about the lip gloss. I do love the 2 new exclusive colors though.

I have found that Julep’s liquid eyeliner is very good. I’ve converted from pencil to this. Very fine tip, excellent accuracy!

I got the same exact box. Is that pretty common for mystery boxes?

Andrea

Yes, all of their mystery boxes are the same for everyone.
