If you aren’t familiar with Studio Calico, they offer Stationery ($22.99 a month with 6-month commitment), Planner ($22.99 a month with 6-month commitment), Scrapbook ($37.99 a month with 6-month commitment), and Project Life ($27.99 a month with 6-month commitment) monthly subscriptions.
They recently had a first-box-for-a-dollar offer (if you signed up for a 6-month subscription), so I decided to go for the Stationery kit!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
I like that each kit comes with in its own pouch!
The Subscription Box: Studio Calico Stationery Kit
The Cost: $24.99 a month (less with 6 or 12 month commitment)
The Products: Stationery cards, plus a few extras each month!
Ships to: Worldwide! (Free shipping to the US)
This box comes with an info card detailing the color theory inspiration for the month.
Love Your More Than Pumpkin Flavored Everything Card
This is probably the perfect October themed card!
Congrats Card
A Smooth Sea Never Made A Skilled Sailor Card
I love when a card works for framing too - this "Hang in There," card is perfect for that!
You're So Old! Birthday Card
World's Best _____ Card
On the inside of the You're So Old card it says, "Happy Birthday!" I think I'll be saving this (in jest) for my younger brother's next birthday. (He's still in college).
SIGH sympathy card
Thanks Card
I love the artwork on this Thanks card! (It says "Thanks" on the inside). The Sigh card is blank on the inside, but I'm assuming it is a sympathy card!
Wooden Coffee Cup with String
Carved Wood Stamp - Value $8
All the items in this box are made for or by Calico Studio, so I didn't include prices, but this stamp is from Block Wallah, so I was able to estimate the price. It is a gorgeous piece too:
Embossed Gift Tags
Mini Washi Tape
Lunch Box Notes
I love getting mini washi tapes in boxes (thanks to A Beautiful Mess!). These gift tags will be useful for the holidays too.
Verdict: I can't help but compare this box to Happy Mail for my verdict. I think they both are a good value for the price (with the discount this box cost me about $19). If you're looking for more of a variety from card designers, I would recommend trying this subscription. (Or I'd recommend subscribing to both Studio Calico and Happy Mail if you are like me and love gettings lots of cards and paper goodies each month!)
