Anyone hear when the next box will be, if any? I went to the website, and its not in service 🙁

I’m wondering if they are going to end those boxes. We should have gotten info by now I would think.
Perhaps they are now just fixating in the monthly boxes?

Any information on customers that did pay up front for all three boxes? I have not gotten notice of shipping for the winter box and I pre ordered in the spring. Any help you can give me Liz would be helpful.

I also pre-ordered. I spoke with the company who is doing the shipping (about another issue) and they said the boxes were due to ship “toward the end of November.”
From what I understand the pre-orders should ship around the time of the public sale …. but I haven’t received any notification yet.

Also waiting on my preorder Winter Box. I thought the summer box arrived around the time it went on sale. Thought I would have winter by now, time to email & ask I guess. Any other pre-orders receive their box yet?

Funny story – I didn’t desire one of their previous boxes, due to its contents. I didn’t see enough useable items for me. Being the sub box addict that I am it took some real will power to resist buying it. I really had to sit on my hands during the sale hour and walk away from the computer hoping that it would sell out fast. After the sale I congratulated myself and was ready to move on. Then I got an email that their server had crashed and they were going to have the sale again in a week. I had to go through the same agony again!

I am so/so on this box but if I have to work that day then it sucks because I can’t get it. They should really make it later in the day so more people can have a chance to get it. Not everyone has a computer they can access at work to do stuff like this :(…And paying more money to pre-order especially without knowing the contents is not a solution lol.

I just added the prices of the things I’ll actually use and the value came to $65, not $400+. And if everyone is right about the additional shipping charge, that takes the savings to $5 (from $15). I’ll pass.

Shipping is $10.00. It says so right on their page.

When I add the value of the items that I’ll use before the box comes, I usually break even at best. But after I get the box, I often end up using some of the products I didn’t think I would – and swapping others.

I think I might try to get this for my sister. She wears virtually no makeup, finds high-end brands to be silly, and loves practical stuff. This box is right up her alley!

Besides the lipstick…I’ll use everything ? woo-hoo!!

Yep, I keep buying these boxes!!! But this box has a large amount of repeats. I mean A LOT!!! So I’m kinda of second guessing this one.

I agree. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this box for months. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this one…a ton of the same products in the last couple boxes, and is it just me or does this box seem to have less products than the last few boxes did? Also, did anyone else notice they raised the price from $44.95 + $10 shipping to now $49.95 + $10 shipping??? Hmmm…might actually pass on it this time.

Yes. Allure says it is donating $5.00 from the sale of each box to a blood cancer charity. Big hearts they have, they just slapped that $5.00 on to the price of the box.
I was really looking forward to this box, but the amount of hair products, and repeat items (including some hair products I threw out) doesn’t make it so appealing. On the other hand, the inclusion of two serums valued at over $100.00 each I do find intriguing. I’m still on the fence, though.
Suzi
I am also very disappointed. When I add up what I can actually use I don’t see the value. I will take the $49.95 plus $10.00 for shipping along with a handful of coupons and just go shopping at my local store. I will spend the same amount of money but will be able to put together a box made up just for me!
Joy
Same. Too many repeats, and ones that are still in my cabinet. I realized when I was mostly excited about the toothbrush and toothpaste that it was an easy pass for me.

Looks like I’ll use most of the products here, not counting the shampoos and volumizers. Even with the inflated price of the serum, I’d save money if I can get my hands on this, and I can probably give the rest to my sister-in-law or my daughter. I’m in for one.

Trying to get this box is always MADNESS. It sold out last time before I could even find my credit card. I’m actually setting the alarm on my phone this time. That is so dysfunctional, actually. I’m ashamed of myself. 😉

I’m always in for a big Allure box. It’s just *such* a good deal for useful (albeit not exciting) items. Thanks to these boxes I don’t think I’ve purchased toothpaste, deodorant or facial wipes for more than a year. Just a note on the Clear products. The brand didn’t interest me and I had set it aside to donate. Then I had a bad allergic reaction to some hair color and my scalp was SO itchy. I remembered the Clear “scalp and hair therapy” claim and felt immediately relief with one use. And it smells really good, too!

YES!!! I have eczema, and I’ve had flare-ups on my scalp. (Yup, it’s as gross as it sounds.) During a particularly bad one, I tried everything, including expensive Aveda stuff, and was at a loss because I didn’t know how to put the normal eczema treatments on my head. Hair kind of makes that difficult. I tried Clear shampoo as a last-ditch effort, and it worked like magic! I also felt better after just one use. I even use it on my kids, and I don’t find flakes anymore when I comb their hair. (Eczema tends to be a family affair 🙁 )

The last time I bought Allure beauty box was 1.5 years ago, and I still have leftovers from it. I am very tempted by this box because of the value and the face serums look great. I guess I should try to get it.

I swear by the Clear shampoo (see above re: eczema), but I have a Sonia Kashuk eye shadow brush that I *love.* I’ve had it for probably 6 or 7 years, and with gentle washing, it’ll last forever. I can’t quite pinpoint why, but no other eye shadow brush has worked as well for me. Also, I got the Suave Moroccan oil from BzzAgent, and I really liked it. It’s my go-to when I am blowing my hair out, and it makes it soft and smooth without creating an oil slick. I don’t use it that often, and a little goes a long way, so I’d probably give that to my sister. But otherwise I’m definitely going to try to get this box because I feel that the value is there!

How did you preorder?

There was a promo for Allure Beauty Insiders at the beginning of the year that allowed you to pre-order 3 boxes with a premium attached (I can’t remember how much extra I paid for each box…maybe $10?). They sent an email directly to me. The offer was supposed to be limited to the first 500 people but I signed up awhile after they sent the promo so I doubt I was in the first 500!
I may do the pre-order again if they offer it. Although, I wish the boxes were more like they used to be with higher end products so perhaps I’ll wait it out for each box offering.

I got the invitation to preorder but didn’t take it. First of all, the price is going up. The regular box used to be cheaper (by $5?), and the preorder has another premium tacked on, to the point where it’s no longer an automatic purchase for me. Secondly, I want to see the contents first. One box had 6-7 nail products, another mostly hair items, which is fine but not much used by me.

Ya know, I bought one of these boxes before and I was thrilled – but at the same time I wasn’t. It’s full of stuff that is just too darn sensible. It took me a while to figure out why I was so “Yay??” about it, but that’s what it came down to for me. By contrast, when I get a Julep Mystery Box in the mail I let loose with a girlish shriek and I feel like I must paint my nails RIGHT NOW – even if I just finished painting them. I think I’ll stick to that sort of thing and just wander the aisles at Rite Aid next time I want to try a new reasonably priced, sensible health and beauty product.
Good luck to everyone who is after this box! 🙂

I totally see what you mean, but the way I look at it is that I have to buy stuff like deodorant and shampoo and body wash and toothpaste anyway, and I’m not super picky about what brand I use. So as long as the “stuff I’d have to buy anyway” exceeds the cost of the box, everything else is like a big gift with purchase. I’d never buy two $100+ serums, but I’ll sure as heck take them for free!

Ugh…just saw that Groupon has a deal on the KNU serum for $21.99! Which means that the price of $150 is completely over-inflated (by the manufacturer, not Allure since it IS sold for that price on other places).
Still, it sounds like it has an interesting ingredient deck so if it works and I can find it cheaper that’s a plus.

I pre-ordered so I’ll be getting this but not sure I would have purchased it on its own. I can’t be positive, but I think there are a few items that are complete repeats from the last box (the Clear, Dove [maybe different scent], and the Colgate).
The two expensive serums seem interesting, but at those prices they’d better be fabulous for me to be buying them regularly in the future. Good to try out though.

It is getting ho-hum, isn’t it with its repeats of basics. I’ll get this one, without much excitement, then case to case basis after that. I am spoiled by exciting sub boxes!

Not all of them sing to me but this one is playing my song. Will definitely be online to attempt purchase.
I am really surprised that some were charged and didn’t receive it and a refund was not cheerfully and promptly given. That’s a bit off-putting!

That’s awesome news! Thanks Liz!!!
As a side note, earlier this year Allure gave us the choice of paying for all the 2015 boxes…in retrospect, it was probably a good choice for 1st timers, but I noticed that many of products are from the same vendors so if given the choice, I would’ve skipped on this box and save the $$. Either way, these are great deals! Repeat products can always be donated to shelters and things of that nature…

I never get these big Allure boxes because “ugh, $50, I’m too poor for that,” and then I’m upset later that I missed out. Well, NOT TODAY, HEATHERY. YOU’RE BUYING THE DANG BOX THIS TIME.

Lots of drug store brands! It might have a value of $425 but $255 of that is just thd two serums. One of which does not have good reviews on Sephora. I have always purchased the boxes, but I just do not see thd value in tnis box. I think I will pass

I’ve passed on quite a few of the last boxes because or product overload or poor fit, but this one looks like a better fit for me even with a few repeat products from past boxes.

It looks like lots of repeats, brands if not exact products. And nothing super excites me. But I’m sure I’ll buy it.

Posted a comment and it didnt show? Weird.
Had trouble purchasing the summer one, long story involving them charging me, not sending product, refusing to refund me, and I had to get my CC company involved. Sigh.
Want to buy this – scared of same thing happening again. Looks like an incredible value though!
