I think the bookish accessories for lit cube is more my taste than Owl Crate. I am considering giving myself a one time gift with this discount though.

I really want a book sub box, a good one. With books and maybe some fun stuff. I was thinking this one but idk, this seems like a great deal. Any subbers out there tell me is it? Would you choose this one over Lit Cube or another box say? I’ve liked what I have seen but I don’t know if YA is for me. I’m not in my 20s, but I have read some of the stuff they consider in the YA genre. I’m not discriminatory in my book choices as long as they’re good and well edited I see no reason to be.
I suspect Liz cannot definitively post her opinions on her favorite, for reasons of keeping things neutral. But you can blink one for yes and two for naw skip the deal. *wink* lol

Veronica,

You might also want to consider Uppercase Box. It’s a happy medium and might be more what you’re looking for. They also have different plans and one of them is tailored to what books you like to read.

I LOVE owl crate. I got my first box and would definitely say it was worth it. I am very picky about what I read (I don’t like stories that have the same plot line as every other book). I also have a huge library of books at my house so I didn’t want repeats of books I own. The book they sent was something I NEVER would have picked based on the fact that the author had written a vampire novel. It had just come out so no repeats. I ended up devouring the book- I loaned it to my sister and she loved it too. It was a fantasy based on an old chinese folklore and nothing like anything I’ve ever read before- totally fresh plot line and twists. The fun bookish goodies were just a bonus. (Which there were a ton of AND they were super fun). I wish in could get multiple subscriptions but having the same book wouldnt do me much good. The curation was SO fun. get it!!

How is this for a 14-15yr old girl? She wants this box. I’m just hoping it’s appropriate!
