I have three stamps this month.  I love all of them!  I’m so weird.  The “From Me to You” stamps separate from the smaller “xoxo” end and I want to use them in my planner.  The monarch butterfly was sent specifically for the included square shaped card, which apparently cost more to ship.  I did not know that!  Did you?!

You Are Amazing - Flat Card - Value: $4.00

I have some amazing people in my life right now.  My only trouble is picking just one to give this too!

Kindness Matters - Textured/Blank Card - Value: $4.00

Yes it does.  The smallest act of kindness makes the biggest impact where it’s needed most.

People will think you’re strange when you offer random acts of kindness, and that’s how you know you’re doing it right!

Coffee Date? - Textured Card - Value: $4.00

I thought you’d never ask! LOL.  This card is super cute to me!  Probably because I love coffee.  I drink one cup almost every morning.  It’s very soothing, and gets me warm and toasty.  I need this more than ever since the temperature has dropped 25 degrees in a week!

Verdict: Haven Paperie had an estimated retail value of $14.00 which doesn’t include what it cost Haven Paperie to package and ship.  So, I’d say it’s even this month.  I haven’t bought a single card since I started subscribing and I enjoy the artwork and unique character that’s put into each.  Before subscribing, I’d run to the nearest drugstore or supermarket to search through a billion cards I didn’t really like, only to find one that was barely good enough.

Hi Liz,

Can you do a post with all the card subs? Or gift guide for card/paper people? I am thinking about gifting one of these to a friend for the holidays and I am not sure what the real difference is between them.

Thanks!

Haha, I have known about the extra postage for square cards for years. I was sending a bunch of holiday cards to internet friends back in college (late 1990s) and went to the post office to buy stamps. I thought I had brought the right amount of money but had to scrape all the change out of my purse and pockets when the lady at the counter told me about the extra postage. I barely had enough. Ever since then, I have avoided buying square cards…

And that’s also why many of the square cards come with regular shaped envelopes.
