Wantable Intimates is one of the subscriptions from Wantable, and it is probably my favorite box they offer. Like all Wantable subscriptions, you can heavily customize what they send you by filling out your preferences – and you still get to be surprised!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
The Subscription Box: Wantable Intimates Subscription

Here are the order details of my box. Wantable recently added free individual item returns to their subscription plans, so you can send back any item(s) you don’t want and get the refund based on the “Your price” listing. (Returns are free for US subscribers).
When you first sign up for any Wantable subscription you take a style quiz and you can get very specific about the items you want and don’t want. (This is the list of my loves, likes and dislikes from my invoice).
Last month, Wantable introduced some changes to their intimates subscription (you can read our post about these changes here). One of the changes was that they said their subscription would now offer two “stories” – meaning loungewear and lingerie. Personally, I think they described this new structure to this sub quite vaguely and I feel like we were left slightly confused and with a lot of questions.
I know, at first, I thought they might be splitting this subscription to either a loungewear-only or lingerie-only subscription. However, I included the photo above to show that they do actually allow you to receive both, just not in the same box, I don’t think. Each box now contains 3 items of either loungewear or lingerie, but you can still have both in your preferences, like I did (as shown above).
To clarify what items fall under which category, this is from their website:
“Loungewear includes lounge items, socks, and panties. Lingerie includes lingerie items, panties, bras, and hosiery.”
I’ve always loved how detailed Wantable’s preferences surveys are, but with this new update, it seems they dropped their details with hosiery. It used to be that you could specify preferences regarding shapewear and tights (including styles and colors), but now you can’t. (Note that I’m also not sure if they still include shapewear, or whether or not that falls under hosiery.) Also, as many of you have pointed out, their photo for “knee socks” is actually a picture of crew socks, which are very different and leave it unclear as to which a subscriber might actually get. I know a lot of women might like to get one but not the other.
That’s a lot I have to say about some of the recent changes. Now, on to my items this month!
Daisy Fuentes Flocked Lace Heart Thong in Black – value: $12 (My Price: $6.15)
This is a cute thong. I think the heart details make it cute and flirty.
Cheng Xin Modal Cami in Black – value: $18 (My Price: $9.23)
This cami is interesting, but I like it! It’s very drape – it’ll be best for layering under cardigans and such.
Nouveau by Pajama Drama Knit Robe with Shearling – value: $48 (My Price: $24.62)
This robe is made of a thick knit and I really like the color. I have a robe now, but it’s a thinner, plain black robe. This one will be really nice for the winter! I’m glad my stylist included this because I made a note that it’s getting cold where I am.
Verdict: This is my first Wantable Intimates box since the changes. I’m really curious to see how future months turn out. Personally, I’m a little bummed that they lowered the number of items to always be 3, and raised the cost of the box by $10 to $50 total. To me, that should indicate that they’re ramping up the value and quality of the items they send, but we’ll see if that’s actually the case with a few more boxes.
Sometimes you can find items that Wantable sends on sale online so the value can be a little tricky to evaluate – personally, as long as all the items included are worth the subscription cost to me, I count the box as a win. While I don’t feel delighted with this month like I have some of my previous ones, I know I’ll use everything, so I’m satisfied.
What do you think about Wantable Intimates? What did you get this month, and what do you think about the changes?
